Today she asks if we are gambling away our souls by turning our attention to trivial pursuits, largely through TV which is the tabernacle of satan. The more we do that, the less attention and care we afford Jesus in the true Tabernacle.

On October 4th we celebrate the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi. Also we bring you Dr. Frank Joseph's Pro-Life Prescriptions column in which he shares Archbishop Elden Curtiss' pastoral letter to his flock in Omaha which, in truth, is directed at all Catholics to encourage life in all stages and to warn them of their moral duty to vote for those who will uphold the Sanctity of life.

THURSDAY
On October 5th, we continue our GIFT OF OUR FAITH series on the First Commandment as we treat the Sins Against Hope and Charity and how we need to be aware of the dangers of despair in sins against Hope, and hatred, envy, sloth, and scandal in sins against Charity. All must guard themselves against these sins by placing God first in fulfillment of the First Commandment.
