NUMBER OF US SEMINARIANS GOES UP SLIGHTLY
WASHINGTON, DC (CWNews.com)
The number of Catholic
seminarians rose 4 percent this academic year, according to
the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate at
Georgetown University.
Forty-six seminaries showed 3.474 seminarians, compared
with 3,355 for 1998-99. The highest level of US seminary
enrollment was in 1967-68 with 8,159.
