That is why throughout October we continue the 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting Campaign leading to the national elections on November 8. For those unfamiliar how to fast, see the Rules for Fasting. For prayer, outside of the Traditional Latin Mass, the Holy Rosary is the ideal weapon, especially this month. If you want to see the pendulum swing back toward America as a God-fearing nation then it not only happens via prayer and penance, but also by action at the ballot box by voting out all who go against His Laws. That is why God has promised His help in 2 Chronicles 7: 14-15, "And My people, upon whom My name is called, being converted, shall make supplication to Me, and seek out My face, and do penance for their most wicked ways: then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. My eyes also shall be open, and My ears attentive to the prayer of him that shall pray in this place. You'll notice there are conditions such as repenting of our wicked ways. One of the most wicked is the abomination of abortion. While there are many temporal issues that are important in this election, abortion must remain the single issue that is paramount. Therefore, for the sake of your own soul, know that it is a mortal sin to vote for any candidate who promotes or condones abortion since abortion is one of the four sins that cries to Heaven for vengeance. Every Catholic in good standing has to know this. Therefore no Catholic in good faith can vote for a Democratic candidate since their platform embraces abortion as well as sodomy.

   The great lie perpetrated by liberals and the false prophets of the CONciLIAR church that one single issue is no more important than another is pure poppycock. The Death Penalty does not equate with abortion. In fact, up to Vatican 2, the Church always advocated for capital punishment as a deterrent against crime and murder. But ever since the Modernists have eclipsed the true Church they pushed the seamy side of the seamless garment, opening up the whole can of worms of sodomy and now divorcees and shack-ups as the norm in Bergoglio's world while weakening their opposition to murder in the womb. Go figure! But never in the true Catholic Church! The bottom line is that modern man has usurped God and for this he will have to account for his every action. Anyone who enables this murder, is an accomplice to murder - whether by practicing, promoting, condoning, ignoring this grave sin or voting for an issue or candidate that will ennoble them to further the culture of death platform is also an accomplice and will also have to answer to God for their actions that fly in the face of God's Laws and the teachings of His Holy Catholic Church. Therefore, the statutes still stand for a sin to be mortal: 1) It has to be serious. Abortion is! 2) You have to know it's serious. Now you do! 3) You have to want to vote for the person. If you do, then now you know it's a mortal sin to vote for any candidate who favors abortion in any way.

    If, in voting for candidates at all levels, for each one you see who is not actively campaigning to return God and morality, then don't vote for either because choosing the lesser of two evils is never justified. Rather, go the extra step to write in Jesus Christ as a way of protesting these candidates. Even for president if you want. Will Our Lord win? No, because not enough will do it to count. You might ask, but isn't that wasting your vote and therefore you have no right to complain when a worst candidate gets in? The world might think that, but God knows and, after all, that's all that counts. Realistically though we have, as Jesus said as recorded in both St. Matthew 22: 21 and St. Mark 12: 17 "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Therefore we must coexist with Caesar and, unlike Roman emperors, the people in the United States have the responsibility to vote for the one to be president for the next four years.

   In the past we have always steered away from endorsing a president, however if Hillary Rodham Clinton can campaign from a church pulpit, then we have all the right in the world to warn you how dangerous she is in so many ways, but in particular at stake are Supreme Court Judges she would appoint who would favor abortion and sodomy, and try to eliminate the second amendment, if not the first. While we still have the first amendment, this editor, as an individual who happens to also be Executive Director of SANCTUS, can never in good faith endorse a Democrat who would continue Barack Hussein Obama's godless agenda and weakening of America. Therefore I hereby endorse the man who has vowed to appoint constitutional judges and bring God back into the conversation everywhere, do away with the cancer of political correctness, and, as you may have heard, "Make America Great Again." Since Donald Trump, despite all his negatives and malaprops, has embraced the pro-life platform as well as promising to right the ship that Obama and all in his administration have capsized, it's our last hope temporally. Yes, this is a time of chastisement as we see the Muslim hordes rising up just as they did at Lepanto, so confident and bloodthirsty against Christians. But we don't have to be gluttons for punishment. We still have a right and duty to vote and I, for one, will exercise that right by mail while I continue to pray and fast during the 40 Days leading to November 8th and pray for a victory a la Lepanto! If only we had a true Pope who would emulate St. Pius V and call for victory by urging all to use the greatest weapon they have available: their Rosaries. Instead we have an antipope/antichrist who persists in dialoguing with the devil.

    Persevering in these times is not easy without the graces afforded only in the Traditional Latin Mass where only true priests can confect the bread and wine into the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ through the transubstantion that takes place at the Consecration. All other ways are counterfeit. That is why, with so few true priests, it falls on the laity to counsel the doubtful while leaving the true sacraments to the true priests who are spread so thin. The same goes for comforting the sorrowful and there is plenty to be sorrowful for, not only if you read the daily headlines or hear the sound bites, but the void of grace in countless souls since the Holy Ghost long ago lifted protection of the church in Rome today due to the Modernists' infiltration and the Great Apostasy resulting from the Second Vatican Council. Because we march to a different drum and choose the narrow path over the wide path to destruction strewn with wilting roses. That's why we get a lot of rejection. That's why we could tear our hair out in frustration at the lack of conversions except we know that "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible". Therefore, as true Catholics, we must bear wrongs patiently and forgive all injuries. Finally, or should we say, first of all we cannot sustain this path unless we do as St. Paul says in his letter to the Corinthians, "Such confidence we have through Christ towards God. Not that we are sufficient to think of ourselves, as of ourselves: but our sufficiency is from God". That is why we are strongly encouraged to pray for the living and the dead in fulfilling our part of the Communion of Saints, something lost in today's pick-and-choose politically correct CONciLIAR church where the devil has ensconsed himself as is only too evident.

    In fact, It would seem the gates have shackled what to the world appears as the Catholic Church today, but in essence, is nothing but an evil imposter posing as Catholic while stripping her of all semblance of Catholicity. Yet so many remain blind, deaf and dumb to it all, going along to get along without realizing how wrong they are and how they will have to account for their actions or inactions at their Particular Judgment when it will be too late to make excuses or say 'I didn't know'. No, they'll come after me and this traditional apostolate with all the fury they can muster because of who we are. Remember the IRS witchhunt on conservative non-profits? We have been a bonafide 501c3 non-profit since 1994 with nothing to hide.

    I find it so disheartening to see the obscene sums donated to corrupt politicians and yet so few give from their treasure to those non-profits like ours whose platform outlines everlasting life. It's truly an anomaly. We have our steady few benefactors that have been so loyal with monthly contributions ranging from maybe a dozen donations ranging from five, ten, and fifteen dollars each to a few twenty and twenty-five dollar gifts, two thirty dollar donations, one seventy dollar donation a few times a month, and one five-hundred dollar munificence a month. That adds up to around $850 a month with expenses over $1500 a month so you can see the predicament SANCTUS/DailyCatholic faces to make ends meet.

    I've always been uncomfortable asking for money for our own causes. Yet, when I see the six figure amounts Novus Ordo editors and Executive Directors are garnering with nary a question as to its unbalanced impropriety, I wince. Our Lord has said "A laborer is worth his wages" but there's a balance there where the top honchos don't horde it all while proceeds for the very mission are sparced out. I've never believed one should charge for promoting the true Faith. That is why we've never gone the subscription route. That is why we don't run ads.     I'm struck with awe of the advice the great Doctor of the Church St. Augustine passed down regarding almsgiving that you see directly below.

"Generosity will save a person from Eternal Death, it will even blot out any sin.....because Almsgiving is prayer...it brings graces, it cleanses the soul from guilt and punishment.....What good is faith without works, if we desert our fellow man in his need.?"

   Otober 7 is the 445th anniversary of the glorious victory won in 1571 by the Christian forces over the Turkish fleet at Lepanto. This triumph of the Cross over the Crescent was universally attributed to the powerful intercession of the Mother of God, whom Pope St. Pius V fervently invoked with her Rosary in his hand, and to whom the prayers of all Christendom were addressed. Two years after this great favor had been obtained, Pope Gregory XIII instituted an annual feast of thanksgiving to be celebrated on the First Sunday of October (Rosary Sunday) in all churches where an altar in honor of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary had been erected. From being a local festival this celebration gradually spread and became general, until Pope Leo XIII raised it to the rank of a double of the second class for the whole Church as the Feast of the Holy Rosary.

    The devotion of the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary dates at least from the Twelfth Century, but despite the threat at Lepanto and Viena, as well as Belgrade in defeating the Islam terror, today we face even greater danger globally from the infidel as a punishment for our sins. Why? Because those who claim to be Christian have caved to the world, the flesh and the devil. Modernism can do that and the only answer is prayer. Heaven has given us, outside of the true Immemorial Latin Mass of All Time, the holy Rosary...and if we don't all use it soon as it was meant to be used, there may be no miracle this time. Help is on the way if we but call upon Heaven and trust in Our Lady's words at Fatima that "In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph."

It is called such for Psalm 129 is said daily and applies to those souls exiled from Heaven for however so long. After all, shouldn't we all take St. Paul's strong counsel in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 to heart and "stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have learned"?

    O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

    O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!
