If there are still non-sedes out there defending Benedict XVI
over his massive naturalistic heresy that a lesser evil is permitted to avoid a greater evil, please step forward for the mental ward has a vacancy for you. Unbelieveably, even to Traditional Catholics who know how this Hegelian mindset works like a spring trap in speaking ambiguously while undermining Catholic truth as often as he can, so many won't see the severe gravity of this as the world shouts hurrahs and "atta boy, Benny" in light of the Vatican reaffirming what most Catholics didn't really think he meant but now discover he did indeed mean as he further slips toward hell in taking so many souls with him. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey
documents in two articles not only what Ratzinger
indeed meant, but what Catholic truth means in the very words true reliable Catholic Popes decreed in illustrating how Ratzinger and his conciliar predecessors have violated so many commandments as in all of them including causing scandal and bearing false witness by lying to cover up so many things as well as stealing the faith from souls. Besides, Ratzinger has blatantly sinned against the Faith by his infidelity, apostasy, heresy, indifferentism toward the welfare of souls, and taking part in non-Catholic worship. And you really still think he could ever be a true pope even if just formaliter
? Get serious. Tom does in putting into perspective the great damage done and why every Catholic must recognize this naturalistic heresy and the sins Ratzinger is condoning by his idiocy. Fr. Joseph Collins will say the Requiem Mass for Denise Michelle Trias' funeral this morning on the last day of the liturgical year:
11 a.m. Saturday
M.R. Laurin & Son
295 Pawtucket St.
Viewing and wake is from 9-11 a.m. with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Burial at the cemetery will follow immediately after Mass.
She had been given the traditional Last Sacraments and was prepared. Now her suffering is over and if anyone cried out "De profúndis clamávi ad te, Dómine: Dómine, exáudi vocem meam" it was Denise for before cancer ravaged her body, she went through the gut-wrenching turmoil of having a spouse leave her high and dry in taking care of her five children all by herself. Now, after passing at the age of 41, they have lost their loving mother. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family. Denise clung to being a traditional Catholic and bringing up her children in the Faith as difficult as it was for her. She was known as "The Catholic Mom" for sharing her life with others and evangelizing the true Faith on her various blog sites and contributed several articles to this site and was instrumental in promoting the CMRI and the Boston mission. She had a deep affection for St. Anne as well. Besides losing a friend we have also lost a member of The DailyCatholic family.
May we all hope and pray that the travails Denise offered up in this life, and there were many, will merit her the graces to speed her way to Heaven. Please remember to pray for the spiritual and temporal welfare of her children as well praying for the repose of her soul.
Deliver, O Lord, we beseech Thee, the soul of Thy handmaid Denise, from every bond of her sins that in the glory of the resurrection she may live anew, being raised up in the fellowship of Thy Saints and elect. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Réquiem ætérnam dona ei, Dómine. Et lux perpétua lúceat ei.
Requiéscat in pace. Amen.

If Them, Why Not Others? It's a maddening world and Benedict/Ratzinger has just made it all the more mad in mind and soul with his idiotic Hegelian mindset made public in a book about to be released in which a part is devoted to Ratzinger's flip-flopping on condoms in his and his lackey Lombardi at L'Osservatore Romano trying to spin and assert something is possible when all Catholic truth shouts no it is not possible for sin is sin and no moralization of sin can change that fact and to condone one sin in order to prevent another is sheer madness. 11-22
Ever Faithful To His Infidelity With each passing day Ratzinger/Benedict makes it so obvious he is not Catholic and that's before his most outrageous statement on condoms that will get plenty of play and spin. The tragedy is the insufferable damage he has done to souls and the Catholic name by posing as a pope and worse yet, deceiving the world into thinking he is in charge of what everyone considers the Roman Catholic Church. All those fence sitters out there, if what he has said and done over his sad career doesn't convince you; and if the state of the world doesn't prove to you that there is no moral authority any more and God has withdrawn His graces from all but His remnant Church in the catacombs, then there is little hope you'll ever come around for you've been programmed to "believe a lie" and "have consented to iniquity" as St. Paul warns in 2 Thessalonians 2: 10-11. 11-21
Criminalizing the Innocent, Indemnifying the Guilty With all the controversy swirling around over the TSA fiascoes in every airport in the land, Tom asks where is the logic? Why should we trust a government to protect its people when they not only won't protect the innocent unborn? In fact, they are taking every measure possible to make eliminating those who are "dispensable" such as the old and sick legal. Not only that but criminals and perverts are being hired to grope at the airport. That's the kind of madness that reigns today as we witness the Decline and Fall of America. Why should we be surprised? God said it would happen if we didn't heed His Laws. 11-19
Defend Truth Now or Lose The Only Election That Matters Those who put their trust in man are destined to not only be disappointed, but defeated whereas those who put their trust in God and strive to do His will, not the politicians who promise anything but never deliver because they never had the intention to. The latter are firmly in the prince of the world's camp and to believe them is to "believe a lie" which put us in this predicament in the first place with the "operation of error." Trust in the past true Popes who were endowed with the grace and protection of God; not the conciliar frauds whom God has disavowed as even Tradition in Action admits. 11-16
Why Not? While a corrupt congress, a dangerous lame duck one at that, is reconvening this week, not far away those of the same stripe - the USCCB potentates - are meeting to select the next leader of their conciliar cabal. Considering the rot whose stench runs all the way back to well before Bernardin, it would come as no surprise if Kicanis were the logical choice for the next three years. After all a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Yet, it matters not since none of the purple clad know what they're doing. Or so we're supposed to believe. After all, if they did know the truth, would they not expose the false church? Wishful thinking for it will never happen because cover-ups are their speciality. 11-15
Evidence of the "operation of error" that is the counterfeit church of conciliarism from other sites:
We Should Attack and Discredit
the Agent of Error In 1960 the Spanish priest Fr. Felix Sarada y Salvani tried to alert all that the liberals would try to turn the tables and accuse true Catholics of hate whenever they were attacked. That trend of diversion continues today and it's time it's stopped. Why? Because as the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, as well as many Saints and true Popes, such as Paul IV, St. Pius V, Leo XIII, St. Pius X to name a few, emphasized: we must attack the person spouting heresy in order to defuse the weapon he uses. It's warfare and we have to strike at the heart of the enemy with forceful words to discredit them, but always with the sword of truth. Therefore, Fr. Salvani's words should reassure and justify traditional publications, sites and writers who have been accused of being mean-spirited when they attack the heresies of the conciliar popes and potentates who have been firing slings and arrows expecting traditional Catholics to be more "charitable" while they wreak havoc on souls with their Hegelian, Modernist bafflegab and gobbledygook that has so confused countless souls. from Tradition in Action 11-20
The China Nightmare The sleeping giant is not sleeping. No, it is ratching up all its muscle while lulling the United States into a false sense of security. Then again with Obama and his Marxist thugs in charge, who knows, maybe China's already in control with their Manchurian candidate. Toby Westerman, an expert on foreign affairs, files this report that should wake up Americans who think China means well. No communist has ever meant well. from Tradition in Action 11-19
Could the Modern Vatican be behind the controversy of the recently found version of the Third Secret of Fatima? A correspondent from Portugal weighs in on why the secret that Tradition in Action has published and commented numerous times on could be a facsimile of the real secret with lies interspersed to not only throw off the truth, but also cover up more lies. The person expresses the possibility that someone out there has the real secret and could be in danger if, indeed, the Modernists are hunting the holder down. from Tradition in Action 11-16
Looking for evil in all the wrong places If you can't beat 'em, try and catch up even though the devil's beat them at their own game. That could the slogan of the conciliar conundrum of why no one can drive the demons out of countless souls. To try to close the barn after the horses are out, a conciliar consulate is offering classes in exorcism to men who cannot exorcise simply because they have not been endowed with the sacramental grace of exorcism, a right obtained only through the rite of traditional Minor and Major Orders leading to true ordination. What they fail to realize is the reason why there is so much demonic possession today: because God has withdrawn His graces from all but His True remnant Church in the catacombs. from Traditio 11-15
Smoke and Mirrors While the mammoth thurible pendulums forth with clouds of incense in Spain, in the U.S. a trial is about to begin that should hopefully shed light on the caliginous conciliar consciences that have allowed the perversion and filth to continue unabated as one of the most bitter fruits of Vatican II. Hopefully it will reflect the crack in the mirror and shed light on the fact that the entire house of cards the conciLIARS have erected at the expense of billions of souls must be abolished. from Traditio 11-15
USCCB going up or is that down in flames? With the latest scandal regarding the president-in-waiting to lead the corrupt inept conciliar cabal of the USCCB, it looks like those potentates will have to look elsewhere for a titular head this year since Tucson's Gerald Kicanis has been outed as being pedophile-phriendly. And you thought it couldn't get much worse than Chicago's Francis George?! from Traditio 11-12
Bamboozled in Boston What will it take to drive the scandal mongers out? A presbyter in Haverhill, Mass gets caught redhanded helping himself to $80,000 from the collection plate to feed his porno habit and his ordinary Sean O'Malley is mum on the whole thing? O'Malley is the one who replaced Bernie Law. What was that Our Lord said about one demon leaves and seven more enter? Corruption has no limits when it comes to the conciliar cronies. from Traditio 11-12
Oh, yes, it can get worse with the rotten robber baron of Vatican II Just when we thought we'd heard it all, Traditio reports that Ratzinger has not only allowed a consecrated, renowned church in Rome to become a brothel and bar, but he's also had the unmitigated gall to bestow a long-standing Catholic honor on a high Mason who is a known murderer, philanderer and drug lord. Can it get any more bizarre? Stay tuned. from Traditio 11-10
Closet Muslim celebrates Hindu feast in so-called 'Catholic' school Isn't this just hunky dory? B. Hussein Obama on U.S. taxpayers' dime (or is that taxpayers' two hundred million a day ticket?!) had no time to meet with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce but while continuing to sell out America to our enemies, took time out on his "let 'em eat cake" oriental tour to celebrate the pagan feast of Diwali (feast of lights) in, of all places, a school considered 'Catholic.' We all know it isn't and the presbyter of the school documents that fact: "60 per cent Hindu students, 35 per cent Muslims and only five per cent Christians." No reason in the world to call it a 'Catholic' school, but then none of them are anymore. from CathNewsIndia 11-08
Oh, what the conciliar church has wrought As Benedict XVI heys to Spain (why, we have no clue considering what he and his cabal have allowed) to try to assuage the masses who are in an uproar over this apostate responsible for so much scandal, it is revealed that the conciliar church will go so far as to team with the deadly drug cartels in Mexico to reap funds, even if it's dirty money. What next? from Traditio 11-9
Why is there no outrage on the genocide of Chaldean Catholics? In the aftermath of the Muslim attack on Our Lady of Salvation church in Bagdad last week, Iraqi Christians, those few who have not fled, live in fear that those bent on establishing Sharia Law in Iraq will not rest until every Christian is dead, and yet no one lifts a finger to help as Benedict schmoozes in Spain lashing out at the very society he helped create. from BBC 11-8
Excellent Response on why we should not celebrate Halloween Rather than trying to ape the devil, no matter how noble it might be to dress up as saints, what saints would really do is what we should do: hold prayer vigils on All Hallows Eve and reserve the dead for All Souls Day, not Halloween. from Tradition in Action 11-5

JP2 Center in Washington forced to close their doors Apathy gives way to admitting it was a money waster from the beginning and now it will be a convent of sorts...if there are enough 'nuns' to go around; also Feeneyites and SSPX together? Talk about strange bedfellows! from Traditio 10-30
Feeneyites strike out by going conciliar as well as being rightfully reproached yet again on their error of denying Baptism of Blood and Desire The St. Benedict Center continues its decline with the very fact that they no longer have a valid priest since 91-year old Father Michael Jarecki has been replaced by a another. That would be a man known as David Phillipson who was ordained in the new rite. Ergo, a mere presbyter rather than a priest. This appointment came fromthe scandalous criminal cover-up collaborator 'Bishop' John B. McCormack, a member of Law's corrupt clan in Boston and an enabler of the worst pedophiles Paul Shanley, founder of MAMBLA, and John Geoghan. What price the sellout by the Center? If the conciLIARS ever wanted to get back at Fr. Feeney, they have now because both the Centers in New Hampshire and Still River are conciliar. Progressivism and corruption are truly alive in New England. Campos all over again, only much, much worse. Is the Society really listening? Read the reply on Feeneyism from Tradition in Action 10-27

On the Feast of St. Bridget of Sweden, October 8, we introduced a new feature in bringing you each day a chapter a day for meditation on the wondrous, Church-approved and encouraged, plethora of prophesies revealed to St. Bridget in the fourteenth century which, as you reflect on Our Lord's words to her, you will realize they hold even truer in our very time today. Thanks to the resources of Catholic-Saints.net we are able to provide this for you. The only difference is that we are parcelling it out to a chapter each day so readers can meditate on the contents of each short chapter and not be overwhelmed by too much.
Today in the Revelations and Prophesies Imparted to St. Bridget of Sweden she hears the Mother of God praising her divine Son and He praising her, making a wonderful comparison of His most sweet Mother to a flower that grew in a valley but rose up over mountains in
The Fatima Prayers
My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)
O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.
O Most Holy Trinity, I addore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!
O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.

Traditio recently alerted readers that "One press that used to be considered 'traditional' was sold out a couple of years ago to a Protestant conglomerate, but still calls itself 'traditional,' even though its publications now fully support the Protestant Novus Ordo. That press that published Fr. James Wathen's 1971 seminal work against the validity of the Novus Ordo, The Great Sacrilege, has pulled the book from its list because, now under its Protestant directors, it is no longer permitted to state that 'the New Mass [sic] is illegal, immoral, and not Catholic.' The once-courageous press can no longer publish a book that it now claims, under its new Protestant management, 'defames the [New]church and calls its approved form of the mass [sic] an invalid sacrilege.' The press now specifically rejects the truth that the Traditional Latin Mass "is the 'only' and 'true' Mass and that the Novus Ordo is invalid or illicit."
The Fathers are, of course, referring to TAN Books. But have no fear. We are pleased to remind all readers that the late Fr. Wathen graciously gave The DailyCatholic permission in September 2001 to publish the entire book online so that it could be read by everyone, no matter the censorship by the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Thus, you can read his entire masterful work that has withstood the test of 40 years. No one has been able to refute the truth of his words in The Great Sacrilege
With so many unable to access the Traditional Latin Mass, you now have the opportunity to at least inspire your perseverance in keeping the Faith by the edification of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. You can now order a fantastic new DVD on the Tridentine Latin Mass with subtitles for both the Latin and English of a beautiful Low Mass said by Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI on last year's Feast of St. Michael the Archangel on the altar of St. Joseph's in Wayne, Michigan where Fr. Francisco Radecki, CMRI is the pastor and head of St. Joseph Media.
Also includes a Latin Mass Little Missal booklet of the Ordinary of the Mass in both Latin and English. The DVD also has BONUS material on the meaning of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the sacred vessels, vestments and liturgical explanations. A must have for all Catholics. Send them to your friends and family.
To make this available to as many as possible, the price has been lowered to only $15.95 plus shipping. Don't pass up this offer. Catch a minute and a half sample at The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on DVD Offer
Ratzinger and his conciliar cohorts could take a lesson from a man who fought the demons but stayed true to his Faith and turned darkness into light. Perhaps they can't see that because they remain in the dark shadows of apostasy and refuse to repent. St. John of the Cross would have much to say of these wolves in sheep's clothing who have so ravaged souls. Souls are what St. John sought to help and his work "The Dark Night of the Soul" has enlightened countless souls, encouraging them through the rough times to always persevere in the true Faith. On this feast of this holy Doctor of the Church we can learn alot from this Apostle of Perseverance
With the end of this week we complete the full cycle of the 2010 Liturgical Year. Sunday, the First Sunday of Advent begins the 201l cycle in which the Church repeats the same Propers through 365 days of the year including the First Class Feasts of Our Lord and Our Lady, Holy Days of Obligation, Double Major feasts, Doubles of the Second Class of the Apostles, and Doubles of the Doctors and Saints of the Church in addition to the Sunday liturgies for the Three main seasons of the ecclesiastical year - Nativity from Advent through Epiphany, Easter from Septuagesima through the Ascension and Pentecost from Whitsunday to the Last Sunday after Pentecost. There is great wisdom in holy Mother Church's choice of liturgival propers throughout the year in documenting and emphasizing salvific history for the purpose of reminding the faithful the importance of remembering their mission as the Church Militant and our role in assisting the Church Suffering in order that we may all reach our final goal of joining the Church Triumphant. The Church paves the way through the Traditional Liturgical cycle as we take a break from the string we've been on to focus this week on the first of the three seasons.
The Season of the Nativity
In his thirteenth installment, Griff Ruby asks whether it is not interesting that the SSPX, now in a virtual civil war turmoil and an organization that has become stagnant as time goes on, has chosen to attack the entity which has reached the syllogism that the only answer for the current severe crisis has to be Sede Vacante? Is it not also interesting that while the attacked party has proven increasingly fruitful in growing in grace and numbers and in providing a blueprint as to why the world is in the state it is in, the attacker has grown more sterile as it reels in all other artillery formerly aimed at the Modernists. It is a diversion that doesn't pass muster and, if you read between the lines of the Society's ill-gotten logic you will see that it is only logical that eventually the majority of the SSPX faithful will see the writing on the wall and realize the sterility of an order that has refused to adapt to its own growth and reverted to intimidation and insinuations to keep their flock from fleeing. Once the flock sees the truth of the Sede Vacante position borne out by facts and decrees of the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church in the face of the absolute apostasy in the conciliar church that Fellay continues to cozy up to, they will bolt. In fact, history may well show that the SSPX's greatest fruit was that it served as a bridge to sedevacantism for so many as Griff illustrates in his thirteenth installment,
Fecundity and Sterility.
points out that the feast and example of the holy virgin and martyr St. Cecilia
can easily get lost, even by traditional Catholics, in the hype of the rush up toward Thanksgiving and Black Friday when materialism raises its ugly head in the greed that manifests itself in the build up toward Christmas where the Reason for the season is totally obliterated in an unadulterated rush toward temporal instant gratification to feed every sense of the body while totally ignoring the welfare of the soul. Hopefully we can take time to study this dedicated saint who realized one drop of water was not more important than the unending ocean of everlasting life and, though possessing a fallen human nature as we all do, she thirsted more for Christ
than mortal man. For her perseverance and unyielding chastity her thirst was quenched; yes, through the glorious blood of this martyr, God provided the edification for countless souls to join her in Heaven. Today? The question is have we forgotten that the blood of the martyrs was the seed of Christianity? Considering no one wants to be martyred for Christ today, no wonder Christianity is in decline. We can learn much from this saint and her virtues of chastity as John illustrates in Saint Cecilia: Modest Melody of Pure Love
John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary for the Twenty-Sixth Sunday after Pentecost and last of the Liturgical Year, thus completing the one-year cycle with the apocalyptic warning Christ echoes and which the Apostle Paul warns against in believing false teachers. So applicable to today's Great Apostasy and these commentaries, like a puzzle, all begin to fit together. Had Father Haydock been alive today, no doubt he would have seen how all the pieces fit to the tableau of the end times as Christ laid out and would have dealt even much further into the first verse of today's Gospel for indeed, as we have seen from Sacred Scripture in what the prophet Daniel foretold in the Old Testament of that abomination being seen in Macchabeus with the sacking of the altar and the end of the sacrifice with the false worship set up against and away from the altar, so also this is Christ's fulfillment of his omen seen so vividly in the sacriligious Novus Ordo
abomination that has caused so much desolation of souls over the past 41 years. Despite the darkness in Christ's warning that very much dovetails into the Book of Apocalypse, His greatest message is the hope He sheds in assuring that His words shall not pass away. Christ Now and Always! "When you shall see the Abomination of Desolation" as noted in the Haydock Commentary, "When you shall see the Abomination of Desolation"
The ultimate goal for every soul is eternal happiness. Too many think true happiness can be attained on this earth and in so thinking, fall short of ever seeing the Beatific Vision. What many consider superstitious is very much a reality. Heaven is the final destination and anything short of that ends in eternal damnation. Considering the alternative, why would anyone not do all on this earth in order to gain eternal life? It's a question for the ages that many have brushed aside as a fait accompli. Everyone is going to Heaven, well almost everyone. Wrong on both counts. Only those in the state of Sanctifying Grace will be admitted through the celestial portals, many, as we learned in the last step, will spend time in the purification fires of Purgatory. It is impossible to perfectly describe Heaven for as the scriptures affirm, the "eye has not seen, or ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, what things God has prepared for those who love Him." It is left to us to do all in our power to see and hear what the Almighty has in store and all He has asked us to do is love and obey Him. Is that so much to ask? We can see the end result of our good fruits in Step Eighteen,
The Church Triumphant
Despite the SSPX writers' disdain for the position of Sede Vacante, Griff Ruby points out that they realize the possibility of this situation when one reads between the lines for even when they try to dismiss His Excellency Archbishop Pierre Martin Ngô Đình Thục, the one link to valid consecrations in perpetuating Apostolic Succession during the Great Apostasy, as a man who waffled and was not always in his right mind, they must tread carefully for the same can be said of their own founder Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. In fact, the latter must take a back seat to the valiant Archbishop Thuc who was the first to test the waters, so to speak, not out of defiance but rather as a necessity to preserve the holy Faith. While many are more than eager to point out the faux pas of his Palmar de Troya consecrations, they fail to mention his retraction of that and sincere apology and the steps he took to assure that would never happen again. After all, he was not infallible. Yet the fruits of his work live on in the true bishops he did consecrate whose successors are carrying on the work of true shepherds in preserving the True Faith today. The feeble efforts by the SSPX writers not only fall flat, but reinforce the fact that the real hero of the Traditional movement is not Lefebvre, but this exiled Vietnamese prelate who was not afraid to make a stand when he discovered the truth; something the SSPX have not yet done as Griff illustrates in his twelfth installment,
Man of Providence.
For the Twenty-Fifth Sunday after Pentecost the Propers are taken from the Sixth Sunday after Epiphany this year (2010). John Gregory has provided these commentaries written by Father Leo George Haydock in which he comments on the essence of what Christ illustrates in His parables in St. Matthew's Gospel today of the mustard seed and the leavened bread to signify the growth of grace by those who seek the kingdom of Heaven by adhering to God's holy will. This is referenced in St. Paul's Epistle to the Thessalonians wherein the Apostle speaks of the profit garnered through faith, works, charity with patience and a labor of love. The mustard seed planted in the Holy Land by our Lord has spread its branches to every corner of the world, fulfilling the prophesies of the Old Testament prophets that the Messias will utter in parables things hidden from the foundation of the world. world as noted in the Haydock Commentary, The Prophets Prove the Profits of Grace
Why Protestants and so many others deny the existence of Purgatory is beyond explanation considering they honor the dead and ask for prayers. If the departed is in Heaven, no prayers are necessary and if the departed is in hell, no prayers are possible. Therefore, it only makes sense that after death it would be useless to pray for any of the dearly departed if there was not some way those prayers could help. That is why both faith and reason point to a place of purification for in order to be admimitted into the presence of the perfect Beatific Vision one must be pure. Just as gold is purified by fire, so also is it necessary for souls to be purified in Purgatory. Makes perfect sense and it is left to the Church Militant to assist the Church Suffering through our prayers, and indulgences gained solely for the souls through Masses, devotions, penances, sacrifices and the ultimate unselfish sacrifice of the Act of Heroic Charity
. Jesus says if one has not charity, all else is as tinkling cymbals. There is no greater love than to pray souls into Heaven as we see in Step Eighteen,
The Church Suffering
On November 9th we celebrated the Double of the Second Class Feast of the Dedication of the Basilica of Our Savior, better known the world over as the Lateran Basilica. Few realize it's the oldest church in Rome, dating back to the Emperor Constantine the Great when he turned a pagan palace into a church, one that rebounded from earthquakes and fires until Vatican II tragically returned this magnificent structure back to the status of a pagan palace by desecrating it with the pagan Protestant Masonic rite of the Novus Ordo
. For the long history of this fascinating basilica of Rome, see St. John Lateran Basilica
On the Octave Day of the Solemnity of All Saints, we presented all the Saints of November as a reminder if anyone needs some impetus to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory this month. It is a litany of all of the saints whose feast days are celebrated in this month of November. Many of these saints are little-known and often are not, for that reason, invoked in our prayers. Just as almost all in Purgatory are forsaken today by the conciliar church.
If you add this short litany to your daily Rosary, you will have the benefit of invoking the prayers of some of these lesser-known saints for November by employing the Litany of All of the Saints of November
John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary for the Twenty-Fourth Sunday after Pentecost the Propers, taken from the Fifth Sunday after Epiphany this year. Father Haydock illustrates in St. Paul's Epistle to the Colossians the essence of why holy Mother Church had, until Vatican II, so wisely and prudently guarded Sacred Scripture for fear of misinterpretation which led, as we know to Protestantism and heretical sects that today number over 33,000. While the Remnant has been whittled to but a few, God, in His mercy, will not separate the wheat from the chaff until that time when He will judge by placing the good wheat in His barn (Heaven) and the rest of the cockle, bundled into hell as Jesus relates via His parable in St. Matthew 13. Then many will realize that not all those who say 'Lord, Lord' will enter His kingdom, but only those who have done His holy will as Christ affirmed in St. Matthew 7 in assuring us we would know them by their fruits and the bad trees would be cast into the eternal fire. Separating the wheat from the cockle in God's time
Griff Ruby returns for the Fall with his eleventh installment on his series refuting a SSPX anti-sedevacantist book. The church of Vatican II is in total meltdown. Why? Connect the dots. Many don't want to. Instead they fall back on excuses, "he said it was okay" as they continue in their comfort zones. Meanwhile the anger and fallout mount in the face of the worst scandal in history with the corruption and perversion of the wolves in sheep's clothing continuing unabated. The longer the Great Apostasy continues, the theological opinion sede vacante gains more credence even to those who consider sedevacantists "bleeps." As time stretches on more and more must face the facts for with each passing day the Siri theory and Cassiciacum thesis lose any steam they might once have had. The only one with any momentum is the little known Lumen Gentium thesis that makes all the sense in the world. We know from history why it's so simple. Simon says think of Henry VIII. Griff explains in
Spontaneous Sedevacantism? .
About fifty years after the Protestant heresy began, Our Lord raised up a
mere youth to renew the face of His Church. The lifework of St. Charles Borromeo may
be divided into two periods, first, the activities he discharged beside his
uncle Pope Pius IV which embraced not only Rome but the Universal Church.
Secondly, the pastoral office which he filled in Milan, as the Bishop and
Apostle of that diocese. He may be said to have directed from Rome the last
phase of the Council of Trent.
The zeal displayed by St. Charles in fulfilling his pastoral duties is
almost incredible. His field of action as Archbishop of Milan and Legate of
the Holy See was very extensive. Yet there was no deserted Alpine village
which was not included in his pastoral visitation. His biographers tell us
that in three weeks he consecrated no less than fifteen churches. He
established a seminary, whose rules have been the basis of seminary
regulations since that time. He died on November 4 in 1584. For much more on this fascinating force for the Faith in enacting the Counter-Reformation, see Saint Charles Borromeo
Because of All Souls Day we bumped Catholicism Made Simple to Wednesday, but we can't bump the truth that everyone of us will face the inevitable: Judgment Day. In this time when technology has run amok and everybody has an opinion on everything under the sun few think to remember that in the end only one opinion counts: God's! And it's called Judgment Day. It will be gut-check time for no one can escape the Trinity's judgment. It is truly amazing in these times when everyone talks of everything but the Last Four Things which are Death, Judgment, Heaven and hell incorporated as De Novissimis. It it truly the Final Four and we're not talking the NCAA but rather the Day of Reckoning that ultimately charts our path; a path that we choose freely by how we lived. What our destination will be will be decided by the Supreme Court in Heaven. The evidence that will tip the scales in our favor will be determined by how we lived in accord with the divine Will as we see in Step Seventeen,
Because of the emphasis on the Church Suffering during November we bring you another excellent work from the noted pre-conciliar Irish priest Father Paul O'Sullivan, author of "The Wonders of the Mass" and several magnificent traditional booklets that have increased in popularity as the years go on and as the souls in Purgatory increase and sit, and wait, and wait, and wait because we here on earth are not doing our part as the Church Militant to relieve those poor souls of their suffering. Only by helping them can we avoid Purgatory, only by remaining in the State of Sanctifying Grace, assisting at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass - the centerpiece of our Faith and the only true worship pleasing to the Holy Trinity. Through the propitiatory sacrifice, our Rosaries, and making reparation for our own sins and those of others can we help the holy souls in Purgatory and hope to either cut down our time there or, by the grace of God and our total commitment as members of the Church Militant, to discover How to Avoid Purgatory
Do we realize when we die we could very well be in the same predicament of the souls in Purgatory today? Do we feel comfortable with that? Father Paul O'Sullivan, O.P. helps us better understand what we must do. Do we realize how few pray for the souls in Purgatory today? Who knows, the way the conciliar church is going, they may soon attempt to do away with the Church Suffering. Don't put it past them. First Limbo, then Purgatory. After all, they've tacitly done away with hell, giving the impression to many that everyone goes to Heaven and there is no need to convert. If that's true, then the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the centerpiece of our Faith and the only true worship pleasing to God, is useless. True Catholics see the error in such logic for they know the truth of the fruits of the Holy Mass and prayers for the souls in Purgatory. They also know that the conciliar church has borne no good fruits and cannot per our Lord's words in St. Matthew 7: 15-20. It's another reason to read Fr. Paul O'Sullivan's poignant words Read Me or Rue It!
It has definitely been a decade of transition, as this editor dubs it - Transition to Tradition, our last opportunity before God really lowers the boom. Looking back, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see the deterioration in society as the ranks of the good, decent ones striving for holiness grow smaller and the enemy flanks are massing larger and larger, more threatening than ever. With every day we inch closer to the apocalypse foretold in the book of the same name, contrary to Protestant and conciliar concerns that it was always called "Revelation." Would St. John the Evangelist be surprised, and for that matter the holy Doctor of the Church who translated it and several of the holy hierarchs who ratified the Scriptures at various major councils of the Church, most recently at the dogmatic Council of Trent. Many closet conciliarists reading this may not be familiar with that council since the robber barons have sought to eliminate any mention of Trent in the same manner as the U.S. Government is doing everything it can to wipe out any mention of God. For both these offenses there are consequences, grave ones and we are beginning to see now that both anti-Catholic campaigns by the counterfeit church of conciliarism and the United States Congress and its cohorts in the Obama administration both in Washington and Chicago are getting more desperate as each day passes. Those not grounded in grace had best get right with God before it is too late. Call it "gloom and doom" if you want, but that doom can be eternal and that would cause anyone gloom. Can you say fire and brimstone? To remind you, we will be bringing you throughout this year "Diadems of the Decade" featuring an article from each month of each of the past ten years. We're not saying these are the "Best" of the decade for how do you choose which ones are the best? Yet, they are gems that we want to share for we're sure you will treasure them and realize, like fine jewels, they are still as valuable today especially when investing in souls. For this edition, we present a diadem for each November from 2000 through November 2009.
Ten years ago Pat Ludwa gave his take on the gridlock that occurred after the election and showed how the definition of conscience differed greatly from what the Church says and what many Catholics in the United States perceived as "voting their conscience." That was evident from the large Catholic vote for a pro-abort presidential candidate in New England, the heavily populated New York City, New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as Michigan and Illinois. Pat pointed out that this misinterpretation of how a Catholic should act was the core of the problem in the Church of America today, and we might add, kept most of us in the dark as to why until we the realization became evident that it was the conciliar church, not the Catholic Church. He cited then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger's affirmation that relativism is one of the greatest dangers in the Church today. The answer, Pat surmised was to align consciences with the Catholic definition as clearly defined by the Holy Father, the Vatican II documents, in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and many other areas which Pat used to expose the shallowness of those who proclaim to be Catholic but their actions betrayed this allegiance. What the editor's discovered a year or so after this was first published is that you cannot get good fruit from bad trees. Nevertheless, to hide nothing and share what someone else said a decade ago we present The Light of Catholic Conscience is in Danger of Being Snuffed Out by Relativism
We can see today what was warned nearly a decade ago. The infidel has invaded and is now a definite threat to Christianity
Nine years ago Atila Sinke Guimaraes reminded readers of the traitorous Archbishop Oppas who betrayed the Catholic cause in favor of Islam in Spain well over a millennium ago. He traced other historical facts about Islamism and how today the True Faith has been compromised for the sake of compliance and compromise as Atila illustrated how Vatican II's ecumenism agenda opened the door for allowing Muslimism to spread uncontrolled throughout Europe, stifling the Catholic conscience and sensibilities to the truths that Islam is the religion of infidels and its goal is to destroy the Church rather than the presiding politically correct thought that ignores this in the effort to compromise for the sake of being accepted. We can easily see nine years later that is a ruse just as Atila warned in his short two-part series
How the Crescent Moon intends to eclipse the Cross
Too many lukewarm don't realize they are slowly being boiled and have no clue what the end result will be. Can anyone say "boiled frog"?
Eight years ago Catharine Lamb contributed her talents with such things as "Notes from the Trenches" in an effort to share why neo-Catholics had become so entrenched in novelty and bought into whatever ambiguity was interpreted for them, even if it was out and out heresy. Truly sheep without shepherds she noted for they have no one to guide them on the narrow path which Christ confirms is the only way. Instead they are scattered, thinking they don't need a shepherd, don't need to follow the path millions have traveled to eternal safety over the past 2000 years. If it weren't for loyal, traditional Catholics, we might have totally forgotten our Faith and moral values, especially the Church's true stance on marriage and procreation. She pointed out how the sheep first were scattered when they rejected Humanae vitae. She also stressed that we should all be righteously incensed at what the conciliarists have done to our faith and our lives as she explained in her column
Turning up the Heat
Seven years ago Mario Derksen reflected on the devastation that has been visited upon the Church. Just as we were discovering more each day, 9-11 was not an isolated, spur of moment passionate terrorist act, so also it was no happenstance or inspiration from above that triggered the outbreak of Vatican II and a new religion. And since then the epidemic has spread from "Ground Zero," a virus affecting the soul that was engineered by the very "technicians" and "spiritual physicians" we should have been able to trust. Looking back over 50 years now, we can clearly see the only antivirus to the venom of this new doctrine is to hold to the traditions handed down in doctrine and liturgy, and realize that Christ will triumph in the end just as His Mother's Immaculate Heart shall triumph and the Revolution defeated. Until then, realize that the revolutionists are in charge. Pray and resist as Mario explains in his column
The selling of sin tries to be sublime but it is the subliminal that can be deadly
Six years ago, Gabriel Garnica took note of the dark landscape modern advertising has contributed to shrouding by promising everything and delivering nothing. The gray, dark tones, almost void of color, seem to permeate television screens and magazine ads, selling hopes but never Hope. Marshall McCluhan once said the medium is the message, but the message today is lost in the sizzle, not in selling the steak, as much as what is at stake - the hot coals of hell where consumers are being softened to accept whatever the devil has to sell. The saddest part is that so many are buying it lock, stock and hellbent to sell their souls for a fleeting second of satisfaction that quickly dissipates as fast as a 15 second commercial. What is equally as sad is that the Church could have prevented this destruction had the Modernists not infiltrated her. He explains in his column Persuasion, Propaganda, Products and Politics = Perdition
Half a decade ago Father Kevin Vaillancourt got down to brass tacks in trying to hammer through the thick skull of so many hopeful "traditionalists" who had bought the charade that Benedict was going to improve things, was going to restore the Latin Mass and grant a universal indult for the Latin Mass. The Motu turned Novus Ordo-lite proved that fallacy. Father pointed out why this was all a pipedream, and also, even if Modern Rome had granted such it wouldn't change a thing since a universal celebret was granted "in perpetuity" by Pope St. Pius V for all priests at all times and all places. The fact is it still would only be scratching the surface. He stated this because those, who kept saying about Benedict "wait and see", can't see the modernist agenda he's always been primarily because that's who Ratzinger always was - a liberal modernist who, because of even more radical progressives in the conciliar church today, might have seemed conservative but he is definitely not traditional and never has been. If anyone doesn't understand that, we'll put it bluntly: It's the Doctrine, dummy! Father Kevin documented these facts in his article first published in The Catholic Voice in September 2005. We share his wisdom with you which we've titled How Long Does It Take To "Wait and See?"
At this time back in 2006 many waited for a comprehensive summary of the Debate on the validity and credibility of Sedevacantism that was held in Spokane, Washington in October and no one could have put it clearer than Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey who highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of each of the two participants. He pointed out that for a debate to have a defined effect, the format has to be such that points are addressed without evading the issue or else it becomes separate entities that do not warrant debate but more replicate the incessant political commercials so prevalent this time of year. Dr. Droleskey, who graciously agreed to moderate the debate between John Lane and Robert Sungenis on whether the conciliar popes could possibly be Catholic, remained firm in his integrity to stay neutral until well after the debate. You can listen to the debates themselves at St. Robert Bellarmine.net. The statute of limitations for being neutral had passed and it was time for Tom to speak out and he graciously allowed us to format his cogent comments from Christ or Chaos for this column four years ago this month with Debating Past Each Other
Has anyone ever realized why Mary has been seen weeping by valid visionaries? Could it be she cries because so many souls are heading to perdition?
Three years ago on the feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, Cyndi Cain reached ahead to an apparition that occurred sixteen years after Rue du Bac to 1846 and the remote mountain slopes of La Salette to share the significance of the apparition of Our Lady there. The Blessed Mother's Church-approved message has been, for the most part, hidden and dismissed by operatives of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Cyndi pointed out how, from early in the 19th Century, Heaven provided all the help necessary to stave off the Great Apostasy and still we didn't listen. From the Miraculous Medal to our Lady's copious tears to the Sun spinning it would seem man has been deaf and dumb to all Heaven has warned. Now we face exactly what our laxity has asked for: Rome has lost the faith and become the seat of the antichrist. Will we continue in the perilous path or turn back to God before it is too late? Have we not learned from the mistakes of the Jews of the Old Testament, even when we have the powerful aid of God's Own Mother to guide us? Our Lady of Perpetual Help is perpetually trying to help. The problem lies with those she's seeking to protect and warn. Cyndi shared why, at LaSalette, Our Lady Wept for a Reason
Our Lady Wept for a Reason
Famed cartoonist Walt Kelly's words, voiced through his quirky character Pogo back in 1971, have truly become prophetic when we look in the mirror. Now what do we do?
Editor Michael Cain provided a sober commentary on how America has reached it's final crossroad. Just two short years ago he focused on the quandary of where this country goes from here is either by falling on our knees in repentance and reparation, donning sackcloth and ashes as God's chosen people did in Old Testament times, or suffer the consequences of this sinful generation that has gone far, far further than even Sodom and Gomorrah had for that was at least confined to city limits, if you will, whereas what has happened in the United States has permeated every home. We have a choice. But what do you do when even those choices hold no answers? You look to the Answer, the only Answer to all our woes and trust in Jesus for everything. If we do not, we will deserve the chastisement that will grow worse, much worse under an Obama dictatorship. The similarities of Obama to godless, ruthless revolutionaries and dictators of the past is all too real to dismiss. Yet so many mesmerized citizens are following this pied-piper right towards the abyss, smiling all the way. Oh, when will they wake up? When it's too late? When will they realize there is only One Who can lead us out of this "Valley of Death"? Cain syllogizes our only sure choice in his editorial We have met the enemy and he is us
One year ago Stephen Grieve continued his multi-part series intended to stir the sensibilities of those who continue to elude the inevitability that a true pope would never and could never do what the conciliar leaders in Rome have done for the past 50 years. For his sixth installment, Steve provided more scriptural evidence that Peter was the one Paul was protecting for while Paul was preaching to the Greeks, Peter was in Rome laying the foundations for the Church entrusted to him by Christ in St. Matthew 16: 18-19. It was a commonly held secret that Peter was the chief man above all in the position he had been appointed to by Our Lord. Steve shows how this was known as was the fact that sometime in the future another man (katechon) [ό κατέχων] 'acting as a pope' would rise to the position Peter held and would lead the Church away from Christ into apostasy. Paul was speaking in code for it did not pertain to the generation he was preaching to, but to a later generation - ours. Hopefully all will take note of this sixth part of "Towards a Scriptural Brief proving Sede Vacante" with The 'Secret' and The Roman Connection - Further Backgrounder on 2 Thessalonians 2: 6-7
