We only have one week left in our special and, yes, desperate drive to begin the restoration of Holy Mother Church. By ourself we cannot do this and so far the response has been only the same few who always give. There have been very, very few new donations. Are we so hard-hearted that we no longer care about those striving to spread the True Faith? No one individual or organization could ever accomplish this massive, seemingly impossible task. But if we do not have faith that it can be done, then we're defeated before we even begin. Right now it looks pretty bleak, but yet we still look at it in how Christ gages it:

"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19: 26

We beg you to be generous for what is received this week will determine the direction for 2006. If the response is not positive, we have no choice but to cut issues of The Daily Catholic way back. Do you really want that? It's in our readers' hands See Choirs of Angels Christmas Pledge Drive

Because of a glitch in our e-mails, we've just received Father James F. Wathen's touching story of Christmas 60 years ago and it is a recollection we should all recall and cherish, preserving the traditions that have, by and large, been shelved by the conciliar church and cast into oblivion. We must hold fast to the Faith and Tradition, and Father gives us all a glimpse of the awe and majesty of a time not too long ago when everything centered on the Lord and the seeds for his vocation were nurtured by his faithful shepherd during a Pontifical High Mass. The Bishop warned him then about the candle. He could get burned. Ever since Fr. Wathen has been warning Catholics everywhere as a loyal priest of how they can get burned if they do not realize and truly know their Faith. In a tribute to Father and gratitude for his knowing the common sense of the Bishop's remark, we have fashioned a graphic above which hopefully will trigger more fond memories of that time for Father during these painful days of his dry martyrdom. Father shares his memories in his nostalgic Christmas piece which, because it occurred in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Owensboro, Kentucky, and because we are putting this on line on the First Martyr's Feast, we present here Father's piece sent to us by Maria Hughes, entitled A Christmas Recollection

    Christmas Message
Keeping with our tradition of bringing you our joint Christmas Message, we present on this Christmas paradox of this night, this Silent Night in which there is so much noise and clatter from the wheat and chaff mucking up hearts and souls today that no one can hear the Silent Night and why it is a Holy Night. Michael and Cyndi express their gratitude to the readers throughout 2005 and may the Light of Christ fill our readers with grace and glad-tidings on this Holy Night and all the year through. May we all strive, with our Lord's help, to be ever more fruitful in His vineyard in waking the echoes of the lukewarm. May we all gain our fuel from the unchangeable, perfect Prayer offered daily on traditional Catholic altars - the most beautiful thing this side of Heaven, the Propitiatory Sacrifice of the Traditional Latin Mass. They share their message in asking Why is the silence so deafening?
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Double of the First Class Solemnity of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, he relates the scriptural promise of the Messias - the longed-for event which comes to a joyful, glorious and majestic awe-filled crescendo with the Incarnation of the Word in today's Masses and which is recalled with love and devotion at every Holy Sacrifice of the Mass when, on the creche of the paten and chalice, Christ is "born" anew in our hearts at the miraculous words of the Canon with the Transubstantiation and Major Elevation. Just as He first appeared in the humble hovel of a cold barn, today He continues to welcome us by taking abode in the cold, human hearts of those who are repentant through the graces of the Sacrament of Penance and, like the shepherds on that Holy Night, approach the God-man with fear and trembling at this Awe-struck Divine Mystery. Yet there are those in the world who want to deny this omnipotence, to de-deify the Triune Divinity and make gods of themselves because of their itchy ears who, because they will not believe in something so magnificent and vital, will fall for anything. They, sadly, are unaware of the power of this night and the awesome miracle performed every day of the year through The Mystery of His Presence
    Twelve Days of Christmas
Today through January 5th we countdown the 12 Days of Christmas. While the commercial world crassly stuffs the Christmas decorations on the back shelf until next year and forgets the true meaning of Christmas, Holy Mother Church celebrates Christmastide leading to the Feast of the Epiphany. In days of olde England and the French Revolution when the song 12 Days of Christmas represented a secret code, if you will, of the basic catechism for each day represents an article of the Apostle's Creed. As customary this time of the year, we present the meaning of this with 12 Days of Christmas
    Miters that Matter
Bringing readers the meaning of the Christmas Liturgy as Holy Mother Church has always intended it is what His Excellency Bishop Mark Pivarunas highlights for the perennial Christmas message of Christ's Birth, first penned by him on the Nativity of Our Lord in 1994. The well-thought out and inspired, well-planned Liturgy of Holy Mother Church serves as the source of the salvation of countless souls providing many graces, many vocations, many conversions. The three Holy Sacrifices of the Mass celebrated on Christmas, the only day priests are permitted to say three Masses, epitomizes the purpose of Christ's birth humanly, spiritually and eternally. His Excellency explains the infallible, Living Magisterium's wisdom and beautiful, inerrant meaning of the liturgical season with his essay on The Liturgy of Christmas
    Gabriel's Clarion
For his Christmas article, Gabriel Garnica has chosen an heroic act from nearly two weeks ago in the Bronx to illustrate the true meaning of Christmas. A simple, instinctive life-saving act by a man who believed and responded made it possible for an instant, heartfelt prayer of a desperate mother to come true. Her infant son was saved because God chose to place at the right time and place as a providential instrument a man by the name of Felix Vasquez to preserve the infant, thus fulfilling this man's unknown fiat just as Our Lady said 'yes' to God when she had no idea how it would all turn out. While we are so thankful for Mary's fiat, we should also be thankful for Felix's quick-thinking and concern for the safety of an innocent child. Too many today are only concerned with themselves and not the innocent. Abortion is their answer. Christmas is the antithesis of this and though it came early, Tracinda Fox could not have received a better Christmas gift...because she believed enough to "let go of the branch" to do what Abraham was willing to do to his son Isaac because He loved God more. In an emergency, Tracinda prayed and put her trust in God. As he waited the split-second to catch her child, Felix prayed that he would have the strength to catch her child. Simple faith saved all three. We should all catch the love and concern of these two "everymen" who we can all relate to. Gabriel explains in The Christmas Catch
    Traditional Thoughts
It's been a few years since we brought you a special traditional take on Clement Moore's popular poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' in parodying the conciliar church and the ridiculous, tragic and outrageous wreckovation of Holy Mother Church that has occurred over the past 40-plus years. With apologies to Mr. Moore, this was first penned in 2001 by M.C. Siena and became a staple of our Christmas issue up until last year. We revise it this year but not for our Christmas issue. We have published a record number of issues this year and this year we are spreading various contributing writers' Christmas articles throughout several articles. Therefore we are running this in our Christmas Eve issue since tomorrow's issue will serve exclusively as The Daily Catholic's Christmas Card to our readers replete with Fr. Louis Campbell's Christmas sermon. The message in this parody should hit home and rouse countless Catholics from their long winter's night sleep. So, supposedly the mice are not stirring but let's hope hearts will be stirred into stopping the madness and the clutter as you'll see in 'Twas the Night of the Clutter!.
    Faithful to Tradition
John Gregory continues his series on the Joyful Mysteries leading up to Christmastide. Today he arrives at the great Mystery of Christ's incarnation - the Nativity of the promised Messiah. John provides insight from various reliable sources to enhance the meditation on the Third Joyful Mystery and better prepare ourselves for the Holy Night while giving all a greater appreciation of Mary's role in salvation and how, through the Nativity of her Divine Son, and in cooperation with the chosen Joseph, She cooperated with God's call to bear all things in love, silence and obedience to God in all things for His greater honor and glory. For John's inspiring meditation, see The Third Joyful Mystery: The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
    Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, fresh from a check-up at St. Mary's Hospital, begins our meditative preparation for Christmas on this sixth day of the O Antiphons - the King of the Gentiles - by focusing on the Mother of God, Mary Most Holy. Refined in the kiln of God's eternal Will and polished by Mary's fiat, the immaculate one chosen by the Almighty was truly the Domus Aurea for the King of kings. No tabernacle more pure, more radiating than the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mirror of justice, Seat of wisdom, cause of our joy, Singular vessel of devotion, Mystical Rose, Tower of David, Ark of the Covenant, Gate of Heaven, Morning Star, Health of the sick, Refuge of sinners, Comfort of the afflicted, and Help of Christians. As Father illustrates, Mary worth her weight in graces is truly the foundation God the Father provided from and for all time for the Cornerstone - His only-begotten Son, the Divine Son of Mary, House of Gold
    Miters that Matter
Today, in deference to the fast-approaching Christmas season, we complete this abbreviated "round two" of the debate on whether the conciliar popes are Catholic. His Excellency Bishop Mark Pivaranus traces the history of the papacy and illustrates clearly that, faithful to Christ's promise, Holy Mother Church cannot preach error and yet they have preached mega-errors over the past 40 years. That alone would suffice to come to the conclusion the conciliar popes are not Catholic, but he shows not only did the holy Apostle Paul foretell of the great apostasy in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4, but the very enemy, true to Sacred Scripture and evidenced from documentation of the masonic Alta Vendita, has truly produced a "Revolution in Tiara and Cope" where even today both have been expunged for a more modern look as the conciliar church tries to mask itself as Catholic. Christ has given us the barometer of how we will know the true popes from the false prophets: "By their fruits you shall know them" (Matthew 7: 20) The Bishop shows that, thanks to abandoning the absolutes of Christ's truths and compromising those very truths which no pope had ever done before, they have abandoned control of the Primacy of Peter and yet the papacy continues, albeit, in a state of extended sedevacantism. He explains in his Pastoral Letter The Papacy
    Mass Confusion
To wrap up this second round of discussions with Christmas approaching, John Gregory provides the logic of why sedevacantism makes sense, yet asks why there has to be so much antagonism between sedevacantists and non-sedevacantists. Both have been known to turn the world upside down to castigate the other while the truth of the matter is that both are Catholic in every way. They celebrate the same sacraments, the same Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the same prayers, the same beliefs. The only difference is the acknowledgment of men who should be wise and holy shepherds preserving the Primacy of Peter. When these popes don't, when they manifest themselves as the false shepherds by preaching or even allowing heresy, then sedevacantists have every right in the world to question their validity. If they don't, then indeed, as John titles his article, The World is Flat!
    The Straight Stuff
Griff Ruby weighs in on the series of articles in this "Second Round" with the flat-out practicality of the whole issue. Understandably, he can't fathom, for the life of himself and others, why so many do not see this clarity that should be so obvious. Consider if you will, no matter how much loyalty you have for the man, why it is practical to abandon the Narrow Path that leads to salvation and head pell-mell toward an abyss or rush into a roaring fire just because someone says it's safe? One must know the conditions and realize that the one beckoning is either a deceiver or doesn't know what he is doing. This, of course requires one to truly know their Faith. The fact that so many don't know what true Catholicism teaches plays right into the devil's hand; he who strews the wide path with roses and so-called "good" intentions and all the peace and justice bafflegab that has condoned humanism, modernism, ecumenism and other heresies. One must surely realize this, right? However so many don't. Don't they realize if the one calling the sheep to jump is one who we should be able to trust, but has proven by his actions and words that he is a wolf in sheep's clothing, having betrayed our trust time and time again, would you still jump? Only if you are a fool, a blind fool! Griff cites the practicality of seeing the obvious in his column Practical Sedevacantism
    Reality Check
Just as he did in Round One, Joseph C. Maurer was one of the first to respond to the short memory of Ferrara and company. While Chris Ferrara has dared to go where no man has gone before in turning on the "Enterprise" and 'klingson' to defending the indefensible, he should realize that the 'Final Frontier' is where the True Church resides, free of the errors and, yes, heresies, of the conciliar church - heresies which have been manifestly professed in word and deed many times over. Joe cites once again how Ferrara's attack on sedevacantism leaves him vulnerable credibility-wise since the very publications he has written for have contradicted his words several times. Joe points out specific documentation on this in identifying the obvious manifest heresies that Ferrara suddenly can't seem to see, yet for years was one of the more outspoken voices in pointing out "heresies" which now, thanks to some black hole in space, are not heresies! Joe refutes Ferrara's commentary in his piece which was originally sent to Catholic Family News as a Letter to the Editor. Joe nails the "manifest heresies" and his words are in perfect harmony with Catholic teaching and the integrity of the Primacy of Peter in upholding the very point Pope Paul IV infallibly decreed in Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio. We present Joe's follow-up response to Ferrara's attacks here as he sent it to us, updated for this issue: Opposition to the Anti-Sedevacantists Part Two
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Fourth Sunday of Advent, he underscores the importance of this final week of preparation for the Coming of the Lord. In other words, if we are not ready yet, we may never be ready for the joy of Christmas does not come from exterior trappings but from the interior grace of the Holy Ghost Who alone can provide true Joy. Those seeking it elsewhere had best beware for the axe is being laid to the roots of the tree that yields no fruit. A barren tree is hardly the kind of present we want to present to the Divine Savior on His birthday, and yet, over the last forty-plus years that is all He has received - barren fruit from a gnarled, worldly tree that begs to be cut down and cast into the fire. God will not allow this fruitless tree to grow much more for it has already swallowed up so many souls in its barren bark, casting them into darkness. The only way to see the Light is to take the axe to the roots of that tree - that conciliar tree and our worldly passions - that tie our roots to Christ and His Love in knots and prevail us from knowing true Joy, and that very Love which surpasses all understanding. Father explains in his sermon The Axe at the Root of the Trees
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica selects today's column - the first day of the Antiphons - to focus on the number seven in Divine Providence and proceeds to delve into the meaning of the number in Sacred Scripture and Christ's plan for His Mystical Bride the Church. Gabriel then reveals seven things the devil knows nothing about (hey, take advantage of that while you can, folks!) and then lays out the seven 'unwritten' rules the media applies when covering Catholic issues. Gabriel continues by pointing out the contradictions of seven logic points which he has come up with in a most logical fashion that shows the insanity of what is really going on. Speaking of insanity, total insanity, he finishes with a sad, shocking revelation of what those spineless miters, who so many in the New Order have been sadly entrusting their very souls to, have done in betraying their flocks yet again as the false shepherds they are. How many times are the people going to buy the rot they are spewing from their lavendar ivory towers? If this doesn't do it, as Gabriel points out, nothing will for this time they have blatantly upheld and even praised the unnatural sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance in condoning a movie on sodomy. Not that we should be surprised for these fruitless fruits are making it easier for all to see the seven horns on the prelates of America more clearly each day. Run from them as fast as you can! Gabriel explains in his column The Significance of Seven
    Faithful to Tradition
John Gregory continues his series on the Joyful Mysteries leading up to Christmastide. Today he delves into the Visitation and the magnificence of not only the Babe in Mary's womb, but the one in Elizabeth's womb - the one who leapt with joy: St. John the Baptist. John points out the purity of this moment and how the devil mocks it by enslaving man to abortion and rape. John then relates how scripturally Mary's visitation corresponds with David the Prophet, from whose House of lineage Jesus would come. John lays out the correlating verses of scripture from 2 Kings 6 and Luke 1, then, in the fashion of wrapping a package for the Christ Child for His Birthday, John ties it all in a beautiful bow as God intended by showing the correlation of the first book of the Old Testament (Genesis 3) with the last book of the New Testament (Apocalypse 12). He illustrates the role of the man, the woman, the serpent and the angel in salvation history with the man child Jesus Christ - the New Adam, the woman as the Blessed Virgin Mary - the New Eve, the serpent as the dragon which is the devil and the angel which is both Gabriel and Michael. For John's fascinating meditation, see The Second Joyful Mystery: The Visitation.
Father Anthony Cekada, the target for much of Christopher Ferrara's lengthy rant against sedevacantism, replies with a rebuttal he provided for The Remnant the end of November in which he asks how can one recognize and then "resist" a true pope? This is what he has dubbed the R&R's - Recognize and Resist. He outlines the irrationality of that approach and then delves into the nature of heresy, specifically Ratzinger's "Frankenchurch" heresy that denies an article of the Creed: "I believe in one Church." He presents a short case for sedevacantism and presents evidence of the denial by the conciliar church to what was decreed by past reliable Pontiffs and infallible councils, beginning with the very first denial of the article of Catholic faith: Credo in unam Ecclesiam, followed by a litany of Papal decrees that exposes BeneRatz or "Doctor von Frankenchurch" - as Father has called one of the very architects of the non-Catholic conciliar church. In fact, with the Vatican II document Lumen Gentium and the heretical clause "subsistit in" which Ratzinger was the author of, the conciliarists split from the True Church. Father points out in conclusion that all traditional Catholics "are really sedevacantists --- it's just that they haven't figured it out yet." Father pulls no punches in his reply to the attacks with his answers on Resisting the Pope, Sedevacantism and Frankenchurch
    The Agony of Aggiornamento
Just as we did in "Round One" in October in order to provide the pros and cons - the case of the prosecution vs. the defense - and to assure you read the very words expressed, we have formatted Christopher Ferrara's follow-up attacks on the Sedevacantist "Enterprise" and specifically Fr. Anthony Cekada, published in the October and November issues of Catholic Family News and The Remnant. As we pointed out in October, for some reason Chris has chosen to launch out at a small segment that seems to be growing much larger as more have syllogized the sedevacantist viewpoint thanks to the anathematical abuses and apostasy manifesting themselves daily in the conciLiar church and its leaders. We are reaping the agony of aggiornamento and yet, in this time when a united front would serve the purpose of Traditional Catholicism much more in exposing the facts that the church of Vatican II is not Catholic, this high profile author and reporter has chosen to turn on the ranks as he delves further in a defense of the position that the conciliar popes are Catholic. We publish here his arguments in Part Two through Part Four. Again, you be the judge in reading Opposing the Sedevacantist Enterprise - continued
    The Sanity of Sanctity
Need some impetus to prepare for Christmas during this Advent as we are in Ember Week in Advent? What we provide is a litany to all of the saints whose feast days are celebrated in the month of December. Many of these saints are little-known and often are not, for that reason, invoked in our prayers. While there are several Advent feria days in this month along with the Ember Days Propers, almost each day is dedicated to one or more saints historically and acknowledged in the traditional calendars. If you add this short litany to your daily Rosary, you will have the benefit of invoking the prayers of some of these lesser-known saints for December and better prepare to offer a worthy gift to the Christ Child on Christmas morn. Litany of the December Saints
    Christ or chaos
We wanted to bring you, on the feast of Saint Lucy, the patron saint of Tom and Sharon Droleskey's young daughter, an excellent piece he wrote last week on the total futility of further muddying up the waters of Vatican II as Benedict XVI has proposed by his agenda of "redefining Vatican II." As Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey rightly asserts: Give it up, admit it was a colossal failure and return to what past reliable Roman Pontiffs already decreed and asserted. Tom totally refutes the feeble excuses of the conciliar apologists that Vatican II was necessary for concluding what was supposedly left undone at Vatican I. That is an old wives tale which Tom refutes with certainty by identifying each Vatican II document and applying a past papal decree that made the former totally unnecessary. He lays out the futility of the "reinterpretation of Vatican II in light of tradition" because of all the darkness that permeates the conciliar church. Eternal Rome and all that precededed Vatican II is the true "light of tradition." He explains in detail in his column from his Christ or chaos site this past weekend with Unambiguously Harmful.
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica takes the opportunity of today's feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe to share with readers how the Blessed Mother has interceded for his countrymen in Colombia in thrusting away the vile attempt to legalize abortion in the country of his birth. While most Americans equate Colombia with either coffee or cocaine, he provides a bit of history that exposes the ugly American that has bullied its way into the thread of society. Such was Theodore Roosevelt's "big-stick" tactics in usurping Panama from Colombia a century ago. To Colombians Roosevelt was a raider, an invader. Today, as Gabriel explains, there is a far worst raider and invader, a far more dangerous drug that threatens to destroy the bodies and souls of countless Colombians. Only through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin can Her children fend off this vile evil that cries to Heaven for vengeance. The devil has plenty of helpers including many who would pose as 'Catholic' but not all those who say 'Lord, Lord' will enter into the kingdom. And Our Lady will see to that by interceding with those whose hearts are sincere, who have called upon her as Our Lady of The Rosary of Chiquinquira - Colombia's patroness. Just as Our Lady appeared at Guadalupe nearly half a millennium ago to stop human sacrifice, her children implore her today to end the human sacrifice of abortion as the promoters of the hideous assault on the innocent within the wombs wield their tools of war: gavel and microphone. But the faithful have a tool, too: the Holy Rosary. Gabriel explains in his column The Blessed Virgin Frustrates The Devil in Colombia
    Living in Tradition
In honor of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we bring you a personal account of a man who in the early sixties was hand-chosen to photograph the miraculous tilma up close with the glass case removed at the request of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the magnificent old Basilica which since has been replaced by the modern circular edifice because the latter was sinking into the sifting Mexican soil. This wonderful mission was conducted by Howard Earp, then president of the Portland Apostolate of Our Lady of Guadalupe and a special FBI Agent to boot. He recorded his experience and how it touched his heart which was first printed in the sixties in the Mount Angel Letter and reprinted in the Fall issue of The Reign of Mary in 2001 from which we have received permission to republish it here for our readers on this special day of Our Lady of the Americas. We present the late Howard Earp's moving tribute: Our Lady of Guadalupe: A Photographic Mission
    Traditional Thoughts
Thanks to Tradition in Action, another late devotee of the Blessed Mother, Professor Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira has left an account of the miracle of the tilma and, through enlarged photos, shows the reflection within of the bishop who first beheld the image behind the cascading roses which Juan Diego had unfurled to His Excellency as a sign the latter had requested. It was not what he expected and from that moment on he believed. The Professor points out a simple but vital lesson" "Wherever true virtue exists, courtesy and noble manners develop as a consequence of it. The opposite is also true: When virtue is no longer present, courtesy and nobility of manners disappear. Juan Diego was from a very simple social level; notwithstanding, he acted as a noble when he dealt with Our Lady." For his comments and a greater insight into the scope of this miracle, we invite you to read: Our Lady of Guadalupe
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Third Sunday of Advent - Gaudete Sunday, he exhorts us to "rejoice" for the conciliarists will not have their way. God will not allow it. He will deliver His faithful ones from the darkness that envelops the earth, especially in these times when Modern Rome has sold out the Faith Christ established on the Rock of Peter - Eternal Rome. The conciliar popes have denied the Dogma of salvation by caving to the sin of placating man so as not to offend him while greatly and grievously offending God. Woe to them who would deceive the children of God, woe to them who would shroud them in darkness. Father points out that while the conciliarists can and do express whatever 'opinion' is popular with the people for world peace on man's terms, true Catholics realize we have all the answers with the light of Divine Revelation through Sacred Scripture which is infrangible truth and because of that we can readily recognize half-truths and compromises and deviation from the Faith for what it is: apostasy! We know what "the Truth, the Way and the Life" has set in stone and passed down through His Holy Church by guiding us through the darkness by that Light from the East as Father explains in his sermon. "The Orient from on High"
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica revisits the first installment of this "Tip of the Viceberg" series to expand on its impact and bring readers up to date on the tactics the progressivists have taken in pulling the wool over the eyes of the gullible and grabbing all the money they can at the expense of the innocent. Godless courts and the devil's courtesans and court-jesters are creating a new society that shies away from standing up for Christ and His little ones, selling out in order not to offend the offenders! Gabriel exposes the real agenda of satan's minions. It is a fact there has been a backlash against the evil one, but not enough. Even though Roe v. Wade is showing signs of breaking the dam and spilling into oblivion, the enemy is desperately countering to fill up the dikes by using the courts to sue for any reason. What price justice? Who cares, tie 'em up in the legal system and drive them insane. We may say it's only a matter of time, but the more we wait, the more we must keep an eye out for their modus operandi because there definitely is an "I" in "DEVIL." For This is imminent in internally infiltrating institutions to increase insurrection and incite the index of indecency, self-indulgence, and independence from God, and then indict the God-fearing through the inquisition of insidious insinuations by incompetent idiots who instill and increase the integration of indifferentism on those inundated by the innuendo of inequality and intolerance. This only induces iniquity and inoculates it in the inanity of irrationality inciting the incubus into more illusions that are very real in hell! Gabriel explains in his column The New Roe
    Faithful to Tradition
John Gregory begins today with a series on the Joyful Mysteries leading up to Christmastide. Naturally he commences with the wondrous Annunciation as John provides inspiring meditation that many might not have even considered as he equates the sinful selfishness of contraception and abortion today as the antithesis of Mary's fiat. God is not happy with those who deny not only a child a place in the inn, but snuff out the very life and soul of one of God's chosen ones. They have not tasted the wrath that will visit those who dare to play God, who dare to not serve, who dare to tempt Him or denigrate His Blessed Mother. That is why it is absolutely essential to have a healthy, renewed perspective of Mary's role in salvation and how, through the Annunciation, only by cooperating with her fiat can we enhance our chance of gaining Heaven. John shares his thoughts with the reader in his meditation of the beautiful words in Luke 1 announcing to the Virgin Mary her chosen mission for mankind in The First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation.
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, he speaks of the magnificence of God's perfect plan in creating His ideal human tabernacle to hold and nurture the Father's only-begotten Son Jesus Christ. Father points to the inspiring words of Pope Pius IX in declaring the Dogma of Mary's Immaculate Conception 151 years ago today, and to the praise and veneration given to Our Lady by holy saints, specifically the humble Cure of Ars St. John Marie Vianney who spoke of the immeasurable benefits of sanctifying grace. Father also points to the contrast of the two women of the Apocalypse: the one with the crown of twelve stars who opposes the harlot of Babylon, whose iniquities will be avenged by the Lord God. Those iniquities are prevalent today and in order to be counted with the "woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet" we need to be totally subservient to her Divine Son and follow her loving Motherly advice. If we do not we will fall under the siren of the harlot which is the courtesan of the world, the flesh and the devil. Father likens Mary to the Ark that lifts us above the swirling waters of sinfulness and elevates us to a mystical echelon where we can bask in God's goodness while still in our human bodies and possessing sound minds. Such spiritual ecstasy did the saints - from St. Paul - experience, including Venerable Mary of Agreda who recorded her rapport with Our Lady in her masterful Mystical City of God. Father shares this in illustrating how Christ's Mother was alone given by God, through her being conceived without Original Sin, this is truly as Pius IX said "A Singular Grace and Privilege"
    Catholic PewPOINT
Today should be reserved as the celebration of the wondrous Feast of the Immaculate Conception, but as editor Michael Cain points out, the devil loves to mock God and he has pulled a coup with today being the 40-year anniversary of the close of Vatican II. It is the height of "Commiseration Week." We might say, thank God it closed when it did or we might be worse off, but that is doubtful considering what proceeded from the dastardly, purposefully ambiguous documents that sold out the sensus Catholicus with skimble-skamble bafflegab that could be interpreted in whichever way the enemy chose. We say 'enemy' because many Saints and Popes, verily Holy Mother Church herself identified these rogues and judged the actions of what we have seen over the past four decades as gravely deviating from the Faith, Apostasy, heresy, and worse. Cain provides several quotes and sources that confirm that under the watchful Masonic eye of the One World Order and through the heresies of Modernism, Ecumenism and Humanism, the goals of Globalism and Solidarity are almost complete for establishing a One World Religion under control of the prince of the world. Thank you, Vatican II! One has to ask after forty years of futility and faithlessness, how can the blind ostriches, who cling to the novelties and innovations of the conciLIAR church, say with a straight face that the conciliarists are Catholic? Mocking God is no joke and countless souls plunging to perdition is no laughing matter. Cain gets serious in laying out a plethora of damning evidence against the 40-year-old conciLIAR church in his editorial God will not be mocked!
    Gabriel's Clarion
In preparation for tomorrow's Double of the First Class Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Gabriel Garnica provides the background and beauty of a little-known painting of Our Lady which so beautifully depicts her role in salvation. Using an immaculately white ribbon to represent her total and perpetual purity in body, mind and soul, the Blessed Mother is seen unraveling the knots that so confuse man in every age and make him prey to the wiles of the devil who delights in tying her children up in knots and making them so confused that they seek not to do God's will for their "nots" turn into twisted, contorted knots that are seemingly impossible to unloosen, but Our Lady has a special touch as the magnificent painting conveys in the Mother of God smoothing the path to Heaven for before Lucifer ever said "I will not serve", before the Lord God's "do not eat of the apple" or His "Thou shalt not" Decalogue to Moses, He had prepared immaculately for all time His precious Undoer of knots, so that through the merits of the Son, His obedient and co-Redemptrix Mother - Mediatrix of all graces - could help untangle the knotted souls and hearts of those who knew not. Gabriel explains in his column Mary as The Undoer of Knots
    Doctors of the Church
Today, besides being the Vigil of the Immaculate Conception and therefore a day of fast and abstinence - it is the Double Feast of the Holy Doctor of the Church Saint Ambrose. Ambrose was the first to migrate from the north, the Rhineland area of Trier and settled in Milan, Italy where he cast away a lucrative career as a lawyer and politician to accept the people's acclaim as their Bishop. He ruled in holiness and justice and was responsible for converting and nurturing Saint Augustine. Together they fought vigorously against the Arian heresy towards the end of the 4th century. Unlike the pansy 'bishops' of today, Ambrose stood strong against the heretics and even the emperor for he was not ashamed of proclaiming Christ's truths nor was he afraid of offending anyone if they offended God. This pagan-born saint is known as Saint Ambrose: "Converter of Saints"
    Miters that Matter
Today is the feast of good Saint Nicholas, the holy bishop who was known as a gift-giver and possessed of great charity. So also it is with charity that Bishop Mark Pivarunas shares with the faithful the gift of his clarity in a Pastoral Letter written ten years ago which delineates the difference between what is Catholic and what is a threat to the Faith. One such threat that gave license to licentiousness is the document which marks its 40th anniversary tomorrow (of when it was released by Paul VI) and which, as His Excellency reveals, veered greatly from Catholic doctrine. Though new men have followed Montini to head the conciLIAR church, nothing has changed except that the VaticanTwoArians have only tried to refortify a rotting, decaying rampart that is crumbling despite their protests that everything is fine as they blatantly celebrate as a "good thing" 40 years in the proverbial desert of devastation and destruction. That is why we make a special effort to acknowledge this week as "Commiseration Week" in lamenting the 40 years of wandering and wondering in the desert for we know from the Fidei Depositum and the sensus Catholicus that the conciliar church is not built on solid rock, but on the shifting sands of Modernism, and will eventually fall. The sooner the better. His Excellency shows with all clarity what Holy Mother Church truly teaches and in his exposé of Dignitatis Humanae he provides the documentation of how the church of Vatican II abandoned Catholic Truth and opened the doors for perdition to march right in. Forty years later we can see the obvious evidence of this tragic fact. The Bishop brings this home in his Pastoral Letter The Doctrinal Errors of Dignitatis Humanae
    Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, clears up much of the confusion surrounding the 1962 Missal. While there are some who claim it was altered and paved the way for the travesties of Vatican II, Father shows how it was actually initiated by Pope Pius XII and completed by John XXIII. Father points out how the confusion was actually cleared up by simplifying feasts which had been multiplying so many times and feasts that it caused one to need a roadmap to follow each day of the liturgy. He delves into the controversy of adding St. Joseph into the Canon which John XXIII did, and Father identifies the real purpose of this from those influencing Roncalli which also further altered the shortened Holy Week liturgy which, due to political correctness and tolerance, abandoned Catholic truth in identifying the perennial enemy of Catholicism. Those very manipulators were the ones who were the architects of the horrendous documents of Vatican II of which we commemorate "Commiseration Week" in lamenting the 40-year anniversary of the closing of that devastating event this week. The "spirit of Vatican II" was definitely not the Holy Ghost. Father explains all in his essay on The 1962 Missal
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Second Sunday of Advent, he makes it very clear that only in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church is salvation possible by citing Sacred Scripture and asking why don't the conciliarists take Jesus at His word. It is not surprising then, as we enter "Commiseration Week" in lamenting the 40 year anniversary of the close of the Second Vatican Council, that one who is obviously not taking Christ at His word or heeding orthodox Catholic teaching is Benedict XVI as he follows the sad legacy of his conciliar predecessors in acknowledging other religions while chipping away at the foundations of the Roman Catholic Church. His latest foray into heresy is to do away with Limbo. Just as Paul VI wasn't satisfied with the Divinely-ordained sacraments and Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and John Paul II wasn't satisfied with the Heavenly-sent Rosary, so also the great advocate of collegiality Ratzinger now wants to do away with Limbo for it is more "compassionate" for all those who "desire the transcendent." We knew Ratzinger was a Modernist, but we had no idea he was a Buddhist too. This is just another manifestation of the church of Vatican II abandoning the dogma of Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus. Father refutes Benedict's latest insanity with both Scripture and documentation by two of the greatest Doctors of the Church including the misquoted St. Augustine. Regardless of the conciLIAR liars, if we follow all that the infallible perennial Living Magisterium of the Church has always taught, as Father affirms we too, as St. Paul says in today's Epistle, will have "Joy and Peace in Believing
    Doctors of the Church
Though the feast is superseded by the Second Sunday of Advent, today is the Feast of the holy Bishop and Doctor of the Church Saint Peter Chrysologus who was born at the turn of the 5th Century and, like his predecessor colleagues in the great academy of Doctors, strove with his every breath and magnificent oratory skills to uphold and preserve the Sacred Fidei Depositum . St. Peter Chrysologus would never stand for the anathema being foisted on the faithful today. Just as he stood strong against the heresies of his time, he would recognize today the terrible tragedies in the Church today and either convert the conciliarists or boot 'em out. So great was his eloquence in conveying the Faith in all its beauty and simplicity that he is remembered, even though few of his sermons have survived the annals of history, as Doctor of Homilies: Saint Peter Chrysologus.
    Gabriel's Clarion
It is no coincidence that Gabriel Garnica presents a contrast to what true missionary effort should be with his column this day for it is the Feast of the Patron of Missionaries Saint Francis Xavier, the great Jesuit who traveled to the far ends of the earth to bring the True Faith unabridged, unadulterated, untainted to non-Catholics everywhere. Today we can see the bitter fruits of Vatican II with the charismatic clowns posing as 'Catholic evangelists.' One in particular is Scott Hahn who has dazzled the academia, duped the dolts running EWTN with Mother Angelica incapacitated, and captured the crazy charismatic crowds following him like lemmings. The running joke among Traditional Catholics is what will the masked man say next. You can bet it won't be worth a silver bullet, but thirty pieces of silver could very well betray the Faith for beneath the glamour of the shiny tip of the iceberg are the cold hard facts that what Hahn and his cronies of neo-connism are peddling is in no way Catholic, and even Protestants can be found scratching their heads as the masked man rides up in a cloud of dust and cries "Hi, ho, Hahnitism is Here!" Sorry, but Hahn is no hero. And the sooner the sheople realize this, the faster they'll start realizing the rest of the rot they've been fed over the last 40 years isn't Catholic either. Gabriel explains in his column The Wrong Ranger
    Faithful to Tradition
With Advent here, John Gregory begins a series on deciphering what is Catholic and what is not Catholic today. To those who truly know the Faith, it should be only too obvious. Sadly, due to the fact so many do not, they are blinded by the secular spin. John cites several examples and acknowledges that it all started with Adam and Eve and that pesky snake. That same devilish serpent is busier today than ever before and if we don't stay awake, keep our eyes on the Prize and look away from the apple of aggiornamento we too could fall just as easily as our First Parents. It happened in Noah's time and Moses' time. Though Advent chronicles their fall from grace in preparation for the promised Messiah, we have no excuses today because Christ has atoned for our sins....and yet we go right on sinning as if there's no tomorrow. The problem is, if we continue in our modernized comfort zone on the course of rebellion and concession accommodated by the conciliar church, there won't be a tomorrow we can look forward to without fear. The devil has seen to that, and that is why, as John Explains The Devil Never Sleeps.
    The Straight Stuff
Griff Ruby identifies for Catholics everywhere how to navigate back to the main road - the mainstream between Christ and His Mystical Body. It is not with the conciliar church, but with those who have remained stranded but determined on the main freeway of True Authentic Roman Catholicism. They say all roads lead to Rome, but the only sure road is the Traditional Interstate which is the main and only artery between what Christ established and today's confused and deceived elect. Modernist "Rome" has put in many detours and off-ramps to deter Catholics from realizing the only way to be true to Eternal Rome is to stay on the main thoroughfare. The signs are all there to guide all Catholics back to the main road, the only sure road. They just have to open their eyes and decipher the true signs from all the Vatican II graffiti. It is that very graffiti which has greatly defaced the reality of what is Catholic and what is not that needs to be cleaned up. It begins with not calling modern Rome Catholic as Griff explains in his column The Way Back to the Mainstream
