The Fourth and Final Week of Advent

The "O Antiphons" were first put into use by Holy Mother Church in the eighth and ninth centuries. Said in the Office for the day, they are derived from various titles of Christ and scripturally based short prayers said from the 17th through the 23rd of December by which the Church expresses her deep longing for the coming of the Messiah.

O LORD AND RULER of the House of Israel, Who appeared to Moses in the flame of the burning bush and gave him the law on Sinai: COME, and redeem us with outstretched arms. Amen
The wreath is a tradition that symbolizes the endless circle of eternity; the greens represent life and growth; the four candles, preferably of beeswax, have been blessed at Candlemas and saved for this time of preparation. The candles, each one representing both the week and a millennium before Christ, represent those years of "sitting in darkness and the shadow of death." Each candle adds more light as Christmas nears until on Christmas Eve, the light from the wreath sets off, as it were, the blaze of light on the "tree of life" - the Christmas Tree from which the wood of the manger was crafted for it was with the promised coming of Emmanuel on that starry night in Bethlehem that time was fulfilled. It is the tradition that the youngest child or children in the family light four candles during this fourth week of Advent and the candles burn through the evening meal and then are extinguished until the next night. At every Holy Mass they are lit before Mass begins with the below prayer and Christmas Novena and extinguished by the altar boy after Mass. This will continue up to Christmastide.

O Lord, stir up Thy power, we pray Thee, and come; and with great might help us, that with the help of Thy Grace, Thy merciful forgiveness may hasten what our sins impede. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

That is still the question as several writers follow-up in rebuttal for and against the above question. We will resume our series of articles on this question with tomorrow's issue as we continue "round two" of the discussion. As we have stated all along, The Daily Catholic is here to provide a forum for both the prosecution and the defense and let the reader discern where the truth lies - for the key is to "Know the Faith in order to Keep the Faith!" Though there may be more articles to follow, below is a tentative schedule of articles slated thus far that will be presented on this topic and more:

It's time to launch our special drive to begin the restoration of Holy Mother Church. By ourself we cannot do this. No one individual or organization could ever accomplish this massive, seemingly impossible task. But if we do not have faith that it can be done, then we're defeated before we even begin. The way we look at it is to consider what Christ says:

"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19: 26

Truly believing this, we present our Choirs of Angels Christmas Pledge Drive with nine levels:

In keeping with Christ's assurance in Matthew 7: 19 that "Every tree that yieldeth not good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire" the disintegration of the Protestant-Masonic-Pagan man-made church is inevitable. The collapse of this synthetic pan-christian religion spawned from Vatican II, which has usurped the True Roman Catholic Church, is evident from the news reports below, the feature articles to the right, our EyeOpeners highlighting certain news stories, and the realization of what the True Church truly teaches on our CREDO & CULTURE Page, and especially in the infrangible Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the true Liturgy for each day of the Church's liturgical year, which we provide daily for readers with the Ordinary and Proper of each Mass in both Latin and English so Catholics may truly continue to practice their Faith and truly KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH! Tried and True! Tridentine True!

  • "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Fourth Sunday of Advent, he underscores the importance of this final week of preparation for the Coming of the Lord. In other words, if we are not ready yet, we may never be ready for the joy of Christmas does not come from exterior trappings but from the interior grace of the Holy Ghost Who alone can provide true Joy. Those seeking it elsewhere had best beware for the axe is being laid to the roots of the tree that yields no fruit. A barren tree is hardly the kind of present we want to present to the Divine Savior on His birthday, and yet, over the last forty-plus years that is all He has received - barren fruit from a gnarled, worldly tree that begs to be cut down and cast into the fire. God will not allow this fruitless tree to grow much more for it has already swallowed up so many souls in its barren bark, casting them into darkness. The only way to see the Light is to take the axe to the roots of that tree - that conciliar tree and our worldly passions - that tie our roots to Christ and His Love in knots and prevail us from knowing true Joy, and that very Love which surpasses all understanding. Father explains in his sermon The Axe at the Root of the Trees

    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica selects today's column - the first day of the Antiphons - to focus on the number seven in Divine Providence and proceeds to delve into the meaning of the number in Sacred Scripture and Christ's plan for His Mystical Bride the Church. Gabriel then reveals seven things the devil knows nothing about (hey, take advantage of that while you can, folks!) and then lays out the seven 'unwritten' rules the media applies when covering Catholic issues. Gabriel continues by pointing out the contradictions of seven logic points which he has come up with in a most logical fashion that shows the insanity of what is really going on. Speaking of insanity, total insanity, he finishes with a sad, shocking revelation of what those spineless miters, who so many in the New Order have been sadly entrusting their very souls to, have done in betraying their flocks yet again as the false shepherds they are. How many times are the people going to buy the rot they are spewing from their lavendar ivory towers? If this doesn't do it, as Gabriel points out, nothing will for this time they have blatantly upheld and even praised the unnatural sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance in condoning a movie on sodomy. Not that we should be surprised for these fruitless fruits are making it easier for all to see the seven horns on the prelates of America more clearly each day. Run from them as fast as you can! Gabriel explains in his column The Significance of Seven
    Faithful to Tradition
John Gregory continues his series on the Joyful Mysteries leading up to Christmastide. Today he delves into the Visitation and the magnificence of not only the Babe in Mary's womb, but the one in Elizabeth's womb - the one who leapt with joy: St. John the Baptist. John points out the purity of this moment and how the devil mocks it by enslaving man to abortion and rape. John then relates how scripturally Mary's visitation corresponds with David the Prophet, from whose House of lineage Jesus would come. John lays out the correlating verses of scripture from 2 Kings 6 and Luke 1, then, in the fashion of wrapping a package for the Christ Child for His Birthday, John ties it all in a beautiful bow as God intended by showing the correlation of the first book of the Old Testament (Genesis 3) with the last book of the New Testament (Apocalypse 12). He illustrates the role of the man, the woman, the serpent and the angel in salvation history with the man child Jesus Christ - the New Adam, the woman as the Blessed Virgin Mary - the New Eve, the serpent as the dragon which is the devil and the angel which is both Gabriel and Michael. For John's fascinating meditation, see The Second Joyful Mystery: The Visitation.
    FOCUS
Father Anthony Cekada, the target for much of Christopher Ferrara's lengthy rant against sedevacantism, replies with a rebuttal he provided for The Remnant the end of November in which he asks how can one recognize and then "resist" a true pope? This is what he has dubbed the R&R's - Recognize and Resist. He outlines the irrationality of that approach and then delves into the nature of heresy, specifically Ratzinger's "Frankenchurch" heresy that denies an article of the Creed: "I believe in one Church." He presents a short case for sedevacantism and presents evidence of the denial by the conciliar church to what was decreed by past reliable Pontiffs and infallible councils, beginning with the very first denial of the article of Catholic faith: Credo in unam Ecclesiam, followed by a litany of Papal decrees that exposes BeneRatz or "Doctor von Frankenchurch" - as Father has called one of the very architects of the non-Catholic conciliar church. In fact, with the Vatican II document Lumen Gentium and the heretical clause "subsistit in" which Ratzinger was the author of, the conciliarists split from the True Church. Father points out in conclusion that all traditional Catholics "are really sedevacantists --- it's just that they haven't figured it out yet." Father pulls no punches in his reply to the attacks with his answers on Resisting the Pope, Sedevacantism and Frankenchurch
    The Agony of Aggiornamento
Just as we did in "Round One" in October in order to provide the pros and cons - the case of the prosecution vs. the defense - and to assure you read the very words expressed, we have formatted Christopher Ferrara's follow-up attacks on the Sedevacantist "Enterprise" and specifically Fr. Anthony Cekada, published in the October and November issues of Catholic Family News and The Remnant. As we pointed out in October, for some reason Chris has chosen to launch out at a small segment that seems to be growing much larger as more have syllogized the sedevacantist viewpoint thanks to the anathematical abuses and apostasy manifesting themselves daily in the conciLiar church and its leaders. We are reaping the agony of aggiornamento and yet, in this time when a united front would serve the purpose of Traditional Catholicism much more in exposing the facts that the church of Vatican II is not Catholic, this high profile author and reporter has chosen to turn on the ranks as he delves further in a defense of the position that the conciliar popes are Catholic. We publish here his arguments in Part Two through Part Four. Again, you be the judge in reading Opposing the Sedevacantist Enterprise - continued
    The Sanity of Sanctity
Need some impetus to prepare for Christmas during this Advent as we are in Ember Week in Advent? What we provide is a litany to all of the saints whose feast days are celebrated in the month of December. Many of these saints are little-known and often are not, for that reason, invoked in our prayers. While there are several Advent feria days in this month along with the Ember Days Propers, almost each day is dedicated to one or more saints historically and acknowledged in the traditional calendars. If you add this short litany to your daily Rosary, you will have the benefit of invoking the prayers of some of these lesser-known saints for December and better prepare to offer a worthy gift to the Christ Child on Christmas morn. Litany of the December Saints
    Christ or chaos
We wanted to bring you, on the feast of Saint Lucy, the patron saint of Tom and Sharon Droleskey's young daughter, an excellent piece he wrote last week on the total futility of further muddying up the waters of Vatican II as Benedict XVI has proposed by his agenda of "redefining Vatican II." As Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey rightly asserts: Give it up, admit it was a colossal failure and return to what past reliable Roman Pontiffs already decreed and asserted. Tom totally refutes the feeble excuses of the conciliar apologists that Vatican II was necessary for concluding what was supposedly left undone at Vatican I. That is an old wives tale which Tom refutes with certainty by identifying each Vatican II document and applying a past papal decree that made the former totally unnecessary. He lays out the futility of the "reinterpretation of Vatican II in light of tradition" because of all the darkness that permeates the conciliar church. Eternal Rome and all that precededed Vatican II is the true "light of tradition." He explains in detail in his column from his Christ or chaos site this past weekend with Unambiguously Harmful.
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica takes the opportunity of today's feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe to share with readers how the Blessed Mother has interceded for his countrymen in Colombia in thrusting away the vile attempt to legalize abortion in the country of his birth. While most Americans equate Colombia with either coffee or cocaine, he provides a bit of history that exposes the ugly American that has bullied its way into the thread of society. Such was Theodore Roosevelt's "big-stick" tactics in usurping Panama from Colombia a century ago. To Colombians Roosevelt was a raider, an invader. Today, as Gabriel explains, there is a far worst raider and invader, a far more dangerous drug that threatens to destroy the bodies and souls of countless Colombians. Only through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin can Her children fend off this vile evil that cries to Heaven for vengeance. The devil has plenty of helpers including many who would pose as 'Catholic' but not all those who say 'Lord, Lord' will enter into the kingdom. And Our Lady will see to that by interceding with those whose hearts are sincere, who have called upon her as Our Lady of The Rosary of Chiquinquira - Colombia's patroness. Just as Our Lady appeared at Guadalupe nearly half a millennium ago to stop human sacrifice, her children implore her today to end the human sacrifice of abortion as the promoters of the hideous assault on the innocent within the wombs wield their tools of war: gavel and microphone. But the faithful have a tool, too: the Holy Rosary. Gabriel explains in his column The Blessed Virgin Frustrates The Devil in Colombia
    Living in Tradition
In honor of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we bring you a personal account of a man who in the early sixties was hand-chosen to photograph the miraculous tilma up close with the glass case removed at the request of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the magnificent old Basilica which since has been replaced by the modern circular edifice because the latter was sinking into the sifting Mexican soil. This wonderful mission was conducted by Howard Earp, then president of the Portland Apostolate of Our Lady of Guadalupe and a special FBI Agent to boot. He recorded his experience and how it touched his heart which was first printed in the sixties in the Mount Angel Letter and reprinted in the Fall issue of The Reign of Mary in 2001 from which we have received permission to republish it here for our readers on this special day of Our Lady of the Americas. We present the late Howard Earp's moving tribute: Our Lady of Guadalupe: A Photographic Mission
    Traditional Thoughts
Thanks to Tradition in Action, another late devotee of the Blessed Mother, Professor Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira has left an account of the miracle of the tilma and, through enlarged photos, shows the reflection within of the bishop who first beheld the image behind the cascading roses which Juan Diego had unfurled to His Excellency as a sign the latter had requested. It was not what he expected and from that moment on he believed. The Professor points out a simple but vital lesson" "Wherever true virtue exists, courtesy and noble manners develop as a consequence of it. The opposite is also true: When virtue is no longer present, courtesy and nobility of manners disappear. Juan Diego was from a very simple social level; notwithstanding, he acted as a noble when he dealt with Our Lady." For his comments and a greater insight into the scope of this miracle, we invite you to read: Our Lady of Guadalupe
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Third Sunday of Advent - Gaudete Sunday, he exhorts us to "rejoice" for the conciliarists will not have their way. God will not allow it. He will deliver His faithful ones from the darkness that envelops the earth, especially in these times when Modern Rome has sold out the Faith Christ established on the Rock of Peter - Eternal Rome. The conciliar popes have denied the Dogma of salvation by caving to the sin of placating man so as not to offend him while greatly and grievously offending God. Woe to them who would deceive the children of God, woe to them who would shroud them in darkness. Father points out that while the conciliarists can and do express whatever 'opinion' is popular with the people for world peace on man's terms, true Catholics realize we have all the answers with the light of Divine Revelation through Sacred Scripture which is infrangible truth and because of that we can readily recognize half-truths and compromises and deviation from the Faith for what it is: apostasy! We know what "the Truth, the Way and the Life" has set in stone and passed down through His Holy Church by guiding us through the darkness by that Light from the East as Father explains in his sermon. "The Orient from on High"
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica revisits the first installment of this "Tip of the Viceberg" series to expand on its impact and bring readers up to date on the tactics the progressivists have taken in pulling the wool over the eyes of the gullible and grabbing all the money they can at the expense of the innocent. Godless courts and the devil's courtesans and court-jesters are creating a new society that shies away from standing up for Christ and His little ones, selling out in order not to offend the offenders! Gabriel exposes the real agenda of satan's minions. It is a fact there has been a backlash against the evil one, but not enough. Even though Roe v. Wade is showing signs of breaking the dam and spilling into oblivion, the enemy is desperately countering to fill up the dikes by using the courts to sue for any reason. What price justice? Who cares, tie 'em up in the legal system and drive them insane. We may say it's only a matter of time, but the more we wait, the more we must keep an eye out for their modus operandi because there definitely is an "I" in "DEVIL." For This is imminent in internally infiltrating institutions to increase insurrection and incite the index of indecency, self-indulgence, and independence from God, and then indict the God-fearing through the inquisition of insidious insinuations by incompetent idiots who instill and increase the integration of indifferentism on those inundated by the innuendo of inequality and intolerance. This only induces iniquity and inoculates it in the inanity of irrationality inciting the incubus into more illusions that are very real in hell! Gabriel explains in his column The New Roe
    Faithful to Tradition
John Gregory begins today with a series on the Joyful Mysteries leading up to Christmastide. Naturally he commences with the wondrous Annunciation as John provides inspiring meditation that many might not have even considered as he equates the sinful selfishness of contraception and abortion today as the antithesis of Mary's fiat. God is not happy with those who deny not only a child a place in the inn, but snuff out the very life and soul of one of God's chosen ones. They have not tasted the wrath that will visit those who dare to play God, who dare to not serve, who dare to tempt Him or denigrate His Blessed Mother. That is why it is absolutely essential to have a healthy, renewed perspective of Mary's role in salvation and how, through the Annunciation, only by cooperating with her fiat can we enhance our chance of gaining Heaven. John shares his thoughts with the reader in his meditation of the beautiful words in Luke 1 announcing to the Virgin Mary her chosen mission for mankind in The First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation.
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, he speaks of the magnificence of God's perfect plan in creating His ideal human tabernacle to hold and nurture the Father's only-begotten Son Jesus Christ. Father points to the inspiring words of Pope Pius IX in declaring the Dogma of Mary's Immaculate Conception 151 years ago today, and to the praise and veneration given to Our Lady by holy saints, specifically the humble Cure of Ars St. John Marie Vianney who spoke of the immeasurable benefits of sanctifying grace. Father also points to the contrast of the two women of the Apocalypse: the one with the crown of twelve stars who opposes the harlot of Babylon, whose iniquities will be avenged by the Lord God. Those iniquities are prevalent today and in order to be counted with the "woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet" we need to be totally subservient to her Divine Son and follow her loving Motherly advice. If we do not we will fall under the siren of the harlot which is the courtesan of the world, the flesh and the devil. Father likens Mary to the Ark that lifts us above the swirling waters of sinfulness and elevates us to a mystical echelon where we can bask in God's goodness while still in our human bodies and possessing sound minds. Such spiritual ecstasy did the saints - from St. Paul - experience, including Venerable Mary of Agreda who recorded her rapport with Our Lady in her masterful Mystical City of God. Father shares this in illustrating how Christ's Mother was alone given by God, through her being conceived without Original Sin, this is truly as Pius IX said "A Singular Grace and Privilege"
    Catholic PewPOINT
Today should be reserved as the celebration of the wondrous Feast of the Immaculate Conception, but as editor Michael Cain points out, the devil loves to mock God and he has pulled a coup with today being the 40-year anniversary of the close of Vatican II. It is the height of "Commiseration Week." We might say, thank God it closed when it did or we might be worse off, but that is doubtful considering what proceeded from the dastardly, purposefully ambiguous documents that sold out the sensus Catholicus with skimble-skamble bafflegab that could be interpreted in whichever way the enemy chose. We say 'enemy' because many Saints and Popes, verily Holy Mother Church herself identified these rogues and judged the actions of what we have seen over the past four decades as gravely deviating from the Faith, Apostasy, heresy, and worse. Cain provides several quotes and sources that confirm that under the watchful Masonic eye of the One World Order and through the heresies of Modernism, Ecumenism and Humanism, the goals of Globalism and Solidarity are almost complete for establishing a One World Religion under control of the prince of the world. Thank you, Vatican II! One has to ask after forty years of futility and faithlessness, how can the blind ostriches, who cling to the novelties and innovations of the conciLIAR church, say with a straight face that the conciliarists are Catholic? Mocking God is no joke and countless souls plunging to perdition is no laughing matter. Cain gets serious in laying out a plethora of damning evidence against the 40-year-old conciLIAR church in his editorial God will not be mocked!
    Gabriel's Clarion
In preparation for tomorrow's Double of the First Class Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Gabriel Garnica provides the background and beauty of a little-known painting of Our Lady which so beautifully depicts her role in salvation. Using an immaculately white ribbon to represent her total and perpetual purity in body, mind and soul, the Blessed Mother is seen unraveling the knots that so confuse man in every age and make him prey to the wiles of the devil who delights in tying her children up in knots and making them so confused that they seek not to do God's will for their "nots" turn into twisted, contorted knots that are seemingly impossible to unloosen, but Our Lady has a special touch as the magnificent painting conveys in the Mother of God smoothing the path to Heaven for before Lucifer ever said "I will not serve", before the Lord God's "do not eat of the apple" or His "Thou shalt not" Decalogue to Moses, He had prepared immaculately for all time His precious Undoer of knots, so that through the merits of the Son, His obedient and co-Redemptrix Mother - Mediatrix of all graces - could help untangle the knotted souls and hearts of those who knew not. Gabriel explains in his column Mary as The Undoer of Knots
    Doctors of the Church
Today, besides being the Vigil of the Immaculate Conception and therefore a day of fast and abstinence - it is the Double Feast of the Holy Doctor of the Church Saint Ambrose. Ambrose was the first to migrate from the north, the Rhineland area of Trier and settled in Milan, Italy where he cast away a lucrative career as a lawyer and politician to accept the people's acclaim as their Bishop. He ruled in holiness and justice and was responsible for converting and nurturing Saint Augustine. Together they fought vigorously against the Arian heresy towards the end of the 4th century. Unlike the pansy 'bishops' of today, Ambrose stood strong against the heretics and even the emperor for he was not ashamed of proclaiming Christ's truths nor was he afraid of offending anyone if they offended God. This pagan-born saint is known as Saint Ambrose: "Converter of Saints"
    Miters that Matter
Today is the feast of good Saint Nicholas, the holy bishop who was known as a gift-giver and possessed of great charity. So also it is with charity that Bishop Mark Pivarunas shares with the faithful the gift of his clarity in a Pastoral Letter written ten years ago which delineates the difference between what is Catholic and what is a threat to the Faith. One such threat that gave license to licentiousness is the document which marks its 40th anniversary tomorrow (of when it was released by Paul VI) and which, as His Excellency reveals, veered greatly from Catholic doctrine. Though new men have followed Montini to head the conciLIAR church, nothing has changed except that the VaticanTwoArians have only tried to refortify a rotting, decaying rampart that is crumbling despite their protests that everything is fine as they blatantly celebrate as a "good thing" 40 years in the proverbial desert of devastation and destruction. That is why we make a special effort to acknowledge this week as "Commiseration Week" in lamenting the 40 years of wandering and wondering in the desert for we know from the Fidei Depositum and the sensus Catholicus that the conciliar church is not built on solid rock, but on the shifting sands of Modernism, and will eventually fall. The sooner the better. His Excellency shows with all clarity what Holy Mother Church truly teaches and in his exposé of Dignitatis Humanae he provides the documentation of how the church of Vatican II abandoned Catholic Truth and opened the doors for perdition to march right in. Forty years later we can see the obvious evidence of this tragic fact. The Bishop brings this home in his Pastoral Letter The Doctrinal Errors of Dignitatis Humanae
    Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, clears up much of the confusion surrounding the 1962 Missal. While there are some who claim it was altered and paved the way for the travesties of Vatican II, Father shows how it was actually initiated by Pope Pius XII and completed by John XXIII. Father points out how the confusion was actually cleared up by simplifying feasts which had been multiplying so many times and feasts that it caused one to need a roadmap to follow each day of the liturgy. He delves into the controversy of adding St. Joseph into the Canon which John XXIII did, and Father identifies the real purpose of this from those influencing Roncalli which also further altered the shortened Holy Week liturgy which, due to political correctness and tolerance, abandoned Catholic truth in identifying the perennial enemy of Catholicism. Those very manipulators were the ones who were the architects of the horrendous documents of Vatican II of which we commemorate "Commiseration Week" in lamenting the 40-year anniversary of the closing of that devastating event this week. The "spirit of Vatican II" was definitely not the Holy Ghost. Father explains all in his essay on The 1962 Missal
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Second Sunday of Advent, he makes it very clear that only in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church is salvation possible by citing Sacred Scripture and asking why don't the conciliarists take Jesus at His word. It is not surprising then, as we enter "Commiseration Week" in lamenting the 40 year anniversary of the close of the Second Vatican Council, that one who is obviously not taking Christ at His word or heeding orthodox Catholic teaching is Benedict XVI as he follows the sad legacy of his conciliar predecessors in acknowledging other religions while chipping away at the foundations of the Roman Catholic Church. His latest foray into heresy is to do away with Limbo. Just as Paul VI wasn't satisfied with the Divinely-ordained sacraments and Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and John Paul II wasn't satisfied with the Heavenly-sent Rosary, so also the great advocate of collegiality Ratzinger now wants to do away with Limbo for it is more "compassionate" for all those who "desire the transcendent." We knew Ratzinger was a Modernist, but we had no idea he was a Buddhist too. This is just another manifestation of the church of Vatican II abandoning the dogma of Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus. Father refutes Benedict's latest insanity with both Scripture and documentation by two of the greatest Doctors of the Church including the misquoted St. Augustine. Regardless of the conciLIAR liars, if we follow all that the infallible perennial Living Magisterium of the Church has always taught, as Father affirms we too, as St. Paul says in today's Epistle, will have "Joy and Peace in Believing
    Doctors of the Church
Though the feast is superseded by the Second Sunday of Advent, today is the Feast of the holy Bishop and Doctor of the Church Saint Peter Chrysologus who was born at the turn of the 5th Century and, like his predecessor colleagues in the great academy of Doctors, strove with his every breath and magnificent oratory skills to uphold and preserve the Sacred Fidei Depositum . St. Peter Chrysologus would never stand for the anathema being foisted on the faithful today. Just as he stood strong against the heresies of his time, he would recognize today the terrible tragedies in the Church today and either convert the conciliarists or boot 'em out. So great was his eloquence in conveying the Faith in all its beauty and simplicity that he is remembered, even though few of his sermons have survived the annals of history, as Doctor of Homilies: Saint Peter Chrysologus.
    Gabriel's Clarion
It is no coincidence that Gabriel Garnica presents a contrast to what true missionary effort should be with his column this day for it is the Feast of the Patron of Missionaries Saint Francis Xavier, the great Jesuit who traveled to the far ends of the earth to bring the True Faith unabridged, unadulterated, untainted to non-Catholics everywhere. Today we can see the bitter fruits of Vatican II with the charismatic clowns posing as 'Catholic evangelists.' One in particular is Scott Hahn who has dazzled the academia, duped the dolts running EWTN with Mother Angelica incapacitated, and captured the crazy charismatic crowds following him like lemmings. The running joke among Traditional Catholics is what will the masked man say next. You can bet it won't be worth a silver bullet, but thirty pieces of silver could very well betray the Faith for beneath the glamour of the shiny tip of the iceberg are the cold hard facts that what Hahn and his cronies of neo-connism are peddling is in no way Catholic, and even Protestants can be found scratching their heads as the masked man rides up in a cloud of dust and cries "Hi, ho, Hahnitism is Here!" Sorry, but Hahn is no hero. And the sooner the sheople realize this, the faster they'll start realizing the rest of the rot they've been fed over the last 40 years isn't Catholic either. Gabriel explains in his column The Wrong Ranger
    Faithful to Tradition
With Advent here, John Gregory begins a series on deciphering what is Catholic and what is not Catholic today. To those who truly know the Faith, it should be only too obvious. Sadly, due to the fact so many do not, they are blinded by the secular spin. John cites several examples and acknowledges that it all started with Adam and Eve and that pesky snake. That same devilish serpent is busier today than ever before and if we don't stay awake, keep our eyes on the Prize and look away from the apple of aggiornamento we too could fall just as easily as our First Parents. It happened in Noah's time and Moses' time. Though Advent chronicles their fall from grace in preparation for the promised Messiah, we have no excuses today because Christ has atoned for our sins....and yet we go right on sinning as if there's no tomorrow. The problem is, if we continue in our modernized comfort zone on the course of rebellion and concession accommodated by the conciliar church, there won't be a tomorrow we can look forward to without fear. The devil has seen to that, and that is why, as John Explains The Devil Never Sleeps.
    The Straight Stuff
Griff Ruby identifies for Catholics everywhere how to navigate back to the main road - the mainstream between Christ and His Mystical Body. It is not with the conciliar church, but with those who have remained stranded but determined on the main freeway of True Authentic Roman Catholicism. They say all roads lead to Rome, but the only sure road is the Traditional Interstate which is the main and only artery between what Christ established and today's confused and deceived elect. Modernist "Rome" has put in many detours and off-ramps to deter Catholics from realizing the only way to be true to Eternal Rome is to stay on the main thoroughfare. The signs are all there to guide all Catholics back to the main road, the only sure road. They just have to open their eyes and decipher the true signs from all the Vatican II graffiti. It is that very graffiti which has greatly defaced the reality of what is Catholic and what is not that needs to be cleaned up. It begins with not calling modern Rome Catholic as Griff explains in his column The Way Back to the Mainstream

    Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, presents a thesis that will make you think, and delve into the theology of God's omniscience and the why of many things. In God's master plan He has fashioned the blueprint of perfection. While in His Infinite Wisdom that we will know only in Heaven, He has allowed man - imperfect man - to tinker with perfection. The Lord of History has a method to his divine "madness" for with His infinitely-timed brush, men are the fine bristles and through His master stroke, the palette of causes and effect create a colorful and yet stark, smooth and yet rough, cohesive and yet scrambled portrayal of man's struggle on earth and quest for eternity. God creates and allows the paradox, and His masterpiece develops according to how the bristles touch the canvas of linear time in recording for all time the magnificent tableau of salvation history on the Scroll of Life, a perpetual parchment kept by the Lord of History. Father explains in his essay The Lord of History

    Miters that Matter
With Advent here, we present a pastoral letter by Bishop Mark Pivarunas written ten years ago for the First Sunday of Advent. You will see that though Benedict XVI has replaced John Paul II, nothing else has changed. In fact, things predictably have only grown worse. The Last Sunday of Pentecost and the First Sunday of Advent are intrinsically tied together and His Excellency explains why. Foretold in Sacred Scripture, warned of by previous reliable true Popes, and confirmed by the enemy themselves, we are in the time of the great apostasy - the time of persecution and a time when even the elect would be deceived. This was written in 1995 and nothing has changed except that the rot has only festered more and infected so many more souls. Consider how much has come to light just in these past ten years - the sex scandals, another Assisi scandal, more ecumaniacal concessions, abandonment of the mission of conversion, more bad, even evil bishops and scandals, scandals, and more scandals that persecute Christ and His Mystical Body, now so emaciated and unrecognizable to so many. Truly it is the time of the great apostasy as His Excellency documents in his excellent pastoral letter The Last Days and False Ecumenism
    One Hundred Years Ago Today
Today is the centennial anniversary of His Excellency Bishop Marcel Levebvre who was born on this day in Tourcoing, France in 1905 during the Pontificate of Pope St. Pius X to whom he later dedicated to his Society, dedicated to restoring what St. Pius X had called for: Instaurare Omnia in Christo - "To Restore All Things in Christ." This noble French Archbishop, a dedicated Missionary, stood fast by Tradition throughout his life when seemingly all others abandoned the house of God. For his transgression of obeying God before man, he was greatly persecuted. In his honor, he was enshrined as a charter member in the Tower of Trent Hall of Honor on May 19, 2004. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of his birth, we present the tribute to him, written for the most part by Father Ramon Anglais and first presented here in the Tower of Trent Tributes a year and a half ago. Remembering Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre

In concert with the debut today of SANCTUS' Choirs of Angels Christmas Pledge Drive, Editor Michael Cain explains the reasons why the time has come to launch this seemingly impossible task. He cites the necessity for this both for the continuation of The Daily Catholic and for launching phase one of SANCTUS' ambitious program in playing its part in restoring Holy Mother Church. It's a massive task, but somebody has to do it and so Cain volunteers SANCTUS to launch the impossible - identifying abandoned churches, establishing contacts in each diocese and recovering these magnificent old edifices and sacramentals that are being held hostage by the barbaric and pompous prelates of the conciLIAR church who are not Catholic and who, through their deception, are responsible to God for the loss of so many souls. As Cain points out, there aren't enough millstones to go around because the scandals have been so numerous. Something has to be done before the fig-tree of the novus ordo withers up and takes so many clueless souls with it. That is why phase one is essential in beginning the process of reclaiming the confiscated properties for the the Authentic Roman Catholic Church and for the good of souls everywhere. Cain emphasizes that it takes teamwork. One man can't do it, nor can a few; though 12 Apostles did. Just as St. Francis of Assisi engineered a restoration to "Rebuild My Church" it can be done again but by everyone pulling together. Cain lays out the blueprint to begin the Restoration in his editorial Together We Can Move Mountains!
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the First Sunday of Advent, he clearly shows how man-made religions have forsaken what God commanded and what Christ established with His only One, True Church. Father points out the meaning of Advent and the why of it - in perfect union and preparation for the coming of the Messiah Who would establish the New Covenant. Today, just as in the time of Moses, men have decided they know better and have carved idols, worshipping what they wanted, not what God demanded. From the First Commandment alone we can see how the conciliarists have gravely violated this precept by adding to the graven image of the golden calf for they have not only acknowledged false religions, but encouraged them as well. Father documents this travesty. He also shows the clear, concise words of Pope St. Pius X in his masterful encyclical Pascendi that warned of how one could tell if one is a modernist or not. Sadly, we can see today His Holiness' very omens being carried out to extremes for idols are being carved out of every ambiguity and relativism postured by the church of Vatican II where they find justification for good being evil and vice being considered virtuous by those very offenders of God's Laws. Father explains in his sermon "You shall not carve idols"
    Gabriel's Clarion
With today being the very last day of the Church's liturgical year, Gabriel Garnica hones in on two of the Four Last Things: Heaven and hell. There are two groups heading for the latter, and two groups hopefully on the path to salvation. Gabriel delineates these four groups and asks each to examine their conscience if they can identify with the last greater group. If so, then like St. Peter, they will be willing to give their all for love of God, not because they fear the everlasting depths of hellfire, but because they have learned to know God, to love Him and to serve Him in this world. That is the best preparation for punching our ticket to Heaven. There are many who think they'll get to Heaven if they just follow others, but as we can see from the bitter fruits of Vatican II, countless souls have been hung out to dry because they truly did not know their faith, did not know God and therefore did not love Him enough to totally trust in Him.Gabriel explains the four paths a soul can travel at the moment of death in his column Why Do You Come to Me?
    Faithful to Tradition
On this day when many are filled to the gills with turkey, and others are cramming in line at the stores trying to get a jump on Christmas shopping, many forget what is paramount in all of this, and that is prayer. Without it we haven't got a prayer! John Gregory weighs in on some important issues regarding prayer as he addresses posture, types of prayer and how we can benefit from various forms of prayer, both mental and vocal, and finally on certain traps we can all fall into if we take prayer for granted or become too scrupulous in the process. Prayer is communicating with God pure and simple and when we are communicating it is a two-way commitment. God is always willing. The question is, are we? Prayer is so important, so potent and yet so often we can take it for granted. In these waning days of November, all too quickly we can forget the Poor Souls in Purgatory and that would be our loss and theirs. Is it worth taking something so powerful that lightly? John details the benefits of prayer in his article One who prays is a Prayer.
    Doctors of the Church
Today being the Double Feast of Saint John of the Cross, the great counselor of St. Teresa of Avila, we feature a gems from the past on this holy Doctor of the Church. He was born in Spain and throughout his life had obstacle after obstacle placed in his path. Despite the roadblocks, from the earliest possible drowning accident he was protected - under the mantle of the Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph. He longed for perfection, desiring to please only Our Lord, so much so that he accepted pain and suffering willfully, even to being demeaned and ridiculed, called an apostate and worse. Through all of this he still kept the Faith when all about him wanted to take it away. He was encouraged by a saintly pupil whom he aided greatly in reform of the Carmelites. God confirmed to all his persecutors that this holy priest was right and deserved the aura of sanctity at his death which this saint had foretold the exact year, month, day and hour. He wrote a book that boosts the confidence of so many who have those times of doubt about their Faith. He showed where faith is not about feelings, but about perseverance during those dark nights of the soul. He was the dauntless Saint John of the Cross: Apostle of Perseverance.
    Echoes of True Catholicism
While this is a day for dressing up the turkey with all the fixings, here is an article to assure you don't spoil your spiritual appetite and fall into the trap of dressing down to Gehenna. As a follow-up to the subterfuge which Gabriel Garnica has been focusing on in society, we share an article written by Dr. Marian Therese Horvat on Fashion today and the baseness and depravity to which the communistic social engineers of this rot have stooped to, not just in style but in substance. As Marian shows, not only have they insulted our intelligence but blasphemed against the Son of God for their blatant use of Thomas a Kempis' magnificent and edifying work. These sirens of sin have taunted souls with trash that should be called what it truly is: obscenity and blasphemy. Lost on these lost souls are the infallible words in Deuteronomy 22: 5, "A woman shall not be clothed with man's apparel, neither shall a man use woman's apparel. For he that doeth these things is abominable before God" and in Apocalypse 21: 8, "abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, they shall have their portion in the pool burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Indeed these medusas who don this wretched apparel should realize the serpents entwining their vanity can be deadly. Marian spells it out in her revealing piece from Tradition in Action with The Imitation of Christ Collection: A Subversive Message in Fashion
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel enters the gallery of life today and reports on the works on exhibit which blatantly go against all the rules of great art, acceptable culture, and the natural law. He points out that this malaise will only continue as the hordes of greed rush the stores to possess more material things while forsaking the authentic art that is priceless: God's Divine Truth. He shows the comparisons and why God allows this for we all have free will and the intelligence to decipher and appreciate Divine Art from the doodling nonsense of imposters and fraud artists. There is a difference and that can be seen in the slogan Ars gratia gratis - art for the sake of art, which has been carried to the extreme in this day and age. Forgotten in the mix is the Master of masters Who alone is the reason for Ars gratia Veritatis Divinis - Art for the sake of Divine Truth. Gabriel explains in his column The Art of Divine Truth
    Symphony of Suffering
On the feast of the holy virgin and martyr St. Cecilia, Cyndi Cain reminds all what role each of us must play in the great orchestra and choir of Church Militants for the great harmony of the Communion of Saints. The ranks have been greatly thinned because of the very problems Our Lady prophesied in the 1600's as Our Lady of Good Success. Cyndi reminds all of the imagery used back then: the Sanctuary Lamp being extinguished. This, just as she foretold at Rue du Bac, La Salette and Fatima, is the result of her Divine Son's consecrated ones who have gone soft, abandoning their calling in favor of the siren of the world, the flesh and the devil. This and the great apostasy have caused Sanctuary Lamps to go out everywhere throughout the world. This very "abomination of desolation," which took place on the feast of Passover, April 3, 1969, is the very thing Christ foretold in Matthew 24: 15. Every day it becomes more and more evident, and yet, so few realize this. Let him who hears and sees, understand all that has been foretold is coming to pass and, as Cyndi explains, the only sure way to find Our Lord these days is by Taking Sanctuary Only Where He is Truly Present
    Miters that Matter
For the Double Major Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary we present a meditation written by Bishop Mark Pivarunas on September 8, 1994 and, which first appeared in the Reign of Mary. In very simple, but totally Catholic terms, the Bishop identifies why Mary is so special, for if the Son of God could honor her so by being obedient to her in all things for 30 years, should man do less? Her presentation in the temple by her parents Ann and Joaquim was the first step in preparing her for her eternal mission deigned by God. The only person ever born without original sin, no one is held in greater esteem by the Triune Divinity and Holy Mother Church than the Blessed Virgin Mary. No human has more titles and honor than the Mother of God, chosen by God from all time to be the Ark of the Covenant, Mirror of Justice, Vessel of Honor, Tower of David, Gate of Heaven, and Queen of Heaven and earth. Those are only a few reasons, as the Bishop documents, Why Catholics Honor the Blessed Virgin Mary
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Last Sunday After Pentecost, he cites the evident warnings in Sacred Scripture of the signs of the Antichrist and he documents very clearly how the conciLIAR church is paving the way for this with the blasphemy and insanity of those who do know better, who have so deceived even the elect. To promulgate acceptance of human respect and placate man through false ecumenism at the expense of losing all scope of the supernatural and respect for all Holy Mother Church has always held as key for true prayer and graces, is to betray Christ and His Mystical Bride. Yet the usurpers continue unfettered, spreading the heresy that Jews no longer need to convert for their Messiah is yet to come. Meanwhile countless Jews, Catholics and other non-Catholics are deprived of the salvific truths that Christ has promised and the Apostles have verified in Divine Revelation for no one can attain Heaven without belief in Jesus Christ the only-begotten Son of the Father and the Holy Ghost, Whom Our Lord left to guide what He established on the Rock of Peter. Jesus foretold of the very times we live in for what was prophesied in Daniel 11: 31 and in today's Gospel of Matthew 24: 15, indeed, has come out about with the abominable New Order sacrilegious Novus Ordo that has eclipsed, for the most part, the true and propitiatory Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Can the Antichrist be far behind? Father explains in his sermon Parleying with the Dark
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel continues with his tip of the viceberg series by identifying one of the great vices prevalent today which is doing all it can to wipe out virtue as well as Christmas. Anyone being fooled by the tinsel-covered tip is heading for disaster because beneath is a massive gnarled, suffocating mass of atheism. Anyone lured toward this glittery glacier jutting out should be aware they're on mighty thin ice for once it cracks, one will be swallowed in the commercial vortex that will engulf even the most unsuspecting consumer who has no clue that his or her God-given rights are being torpedoed into smitherines. In other words, things are topsy-turvy because so many are possessed by their greed for possessing material possessions. Blinded by the sparkle, they cannot see through the blinders and that they have, in fact, skewered their priorities and become possessed by the very thing they vowed not to succumb to. They have lost all sense of virtue and values. There's no value in that! All it has done is enable the great grinch in snakeskin to slither into our constitutional rights and take away everything, stripping Christmas bare of what is the real Reason for the Season: the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. One of the iceflows of corruption is the marketing of the inverted Christmas tree in copying the modus operandi of satan who mocks God with the inverted cross. Gabriel explains how life reflects reality through societal possession in his column The Tip of the Viceberg Part Five - Possessions and Possession
    Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
On this Double Major Feast of the Dedication of the Basilicas of St. Peter and St. Paul, John Gregory offers some introspection on one of the holy Pontiffs who so edified the faithful with his orthodoxy and totally Catholic leadership that never left any doubt as to where Holy Mother Church stood in those stable days before the apostasy of Vatican II. That Pope was His Holiness Pope Leo XIII who could, even then, see trouble on the horizon and wrote ten encyclicals on safeguarding the Faith through the Holy Rosary. John cites four of these decrees in illustrating how timeless they are and the importance of his words which are fully in harmony with God's will and totally contradict the shenanigans and sacrilege by John Paul II of altering the Holy Psalter of Mary by daring to add to her perfect 150 Ave's. John shows how the Rosary is our lifeboat to protect us in the storms, how it sustains us in suffering and how it toughens us to avoid laziness and the modern conveniences that divert our attention away from God, away from why we are here and where we are ultimately going. John also touches on Mary's role in this and how it can be understood in the context of true Catholic thought. He explains in his article Pope Leo and The Rosary

Friday, October 14th we completed Round One of this match in which a bevy of writers have engaged in the topic of Sedevacantism, caused originally by the attack on "the Enterprise" which Christopher Ferrara first launched last month. Because of the vital importance of this issue, we have found it necessary to publish essays from both sides. Several writers have weighed in on whether or not the conciliar popes are Catholic and you can see the links below. While next week we will return to normal publishing, we strongly believe there will be a Round Two since Mr. Ferrara has already launched a counter-attack in this month's issue of both Catholic Family News and The Remnant so stay tuned. As we have stated all along, The Daily Catholic is here to provide a forum for both the prosecution and the defense and let the reader discern where the truth lies - for the key is to "Know the Faith in order to Keep the Faith!"

The Domino Effect has begun as one after another of the ConciLiar hierarchs in the US will topple over. Clay feet and yellow spines all; many with blackened hearts!

History will record that the collapse of the conciLiar church in America experienced its complete fall during the leadership of William Skylstad whose very own diocese of Spokane was rendered devastated by a court decision handed down on August 26 by Bankruptcy Judge Patricia Williams that bishops cannot claim parish assets are not the diocese' s property. In a ruling that will have tsunami-like repercussions on every diocese in the land and rumble through modern Rome, leaving even Vatican assets at the mercy of the greed of barrister buzzards smelling the scent of bloodstained money earmarked to pay off sex scandals, it could cause parish revolts. In order to protect themselves, look for the laity to rise up and bolt from the diocesan structure of the New Order in order to protect their own assets and keep the doors open. There will be many casualties in body, mind and soul, but hopefully enough will recognize the total demonic bent of newchurch and do all in their power to preserve the Faith by returning to the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church and throwing out the rascals who have introduced the pagan masonic and protestant synthetic rite that has squeezed the life out of so many, leaving them limp in their Faith and lacking all strength to fend off the heresies being spread by the American apostates posing as bishops from the top - Skylstad on down. We provide two links here that give all the proof necessary to see the beginning of the end. We can only pray that the conciLiar church will go the way of Atlantis, for both upheld pagan rites.

Never in the history of the Church have so many apostate foxes been put in charge of the conciliar hen houses!

That gurgling sound is the last gasping of the conciLIARS who are finding their past sins coming back to haunt them such as William Levada whom Benedict XVI unwisely chose to succeed him in an office that used to be one of the Holiest of Offices that it was called the Holy Office. No longer. As one put it, the fox is now guarding the hen house. Levada is not only enmeshed in the swamp of cover-up from his woeful days in Portland, Oregon but a deposition has revealed that he had advocated artificial birth control to one of his priest's concubines to avoid scandal. With this kind of moral character how could Benedict ever appoint such a sordid rascal who should not even be a bishop, let alone a priest, let alone a Catholic in good standing?!? A true pope would never make so many errors as the conciliar ones in charge over the last 40 years have done. Think about that as you read the latest documentation of scandal and total silence from the top in modern Rome. Morals? What Morals? More proof of the collapse of the conciLIAR church. When will the vast majority wake up and realize the fulfillment of what Our Lady foretold at LaSalette? But then, if they won't even heed the Word of God, or Church Doctrine, why should we expect them to pay attention to approved messages from the Mother of God? Look what they have done to Fatima and the Third Secret. It's obvious, oh, so obvious! We provide some comments below.

Last one out of Canada, turn off the lights and be sure to shut the door! A mass exodus is possible if radical liberals get their way with Sodomite Bill!
It looks more and more like the fictional account of George Orwell's Animal Farm is fast becoming reality as Canada grows redder by the minute - both in communist leanings and out of embarassment for their people who are being herded toward hell faster than a Canadian Mountie can say "Sergeant Preston." That is why Gary Morella states that Canada is "in the grip of insantity - a Brave new world order" toward "State control of religion, ESPECIALLY Catholicism called for by Canadian Public Radio." Will the U.S. be far behind? Considering the communist laws being passed and the freedoms being suppressed, we can expect such mainly because the bishops both in Canada and the U.S. are mere "hirelings" who are not true shepherds and because they have veered and the people have not adhered to both God's Laws and infrangible Catholic dogmas, God is allowing this chastisement. These are the fruits of allowing satan into the sanctuary. Now he is plundering homes and hard hearts. Hell, it would seem, is indeed empty and more and more it looks right now that the devil's forwarding address is going to be Canada! To all Canucks, take a page from the martyrs and be prepared. To all Americans, a word to the wise should be sufficient. Stop the madness before the progressives gain full control in the U.S. as well. Hopefully the nomination of Judge John G. Roberts, who claims to be Catholic, will help, but prayer is the key to stave off the hand of God which is so overdue for America because of the heinous sins of abortion, sodomy, adultery, porn, and greed to name but a few. What we are seeing is the fulfillment of Our Lady of Good Success' prophecies to Mother Marian de Jesus Torres at Quito, Ecuador in the 17th Century. Strap in, gang, it's going to be a wild one!

It's Official! Benedict XVI signs off on New Vatican's fast lane to "sainthood" to enable the promotion of a known heretic!
Tuesday, June 28th, the day BeneRatz made it official, Fox News had a Fr. Jonathan Morris of the Legionaires of Christ on as a guest commentator who was also introduced as a "Fox News correspondent." For someone who should have been relatively journalistic in demeanor, he was simply giddy about John Paul II being made a saint. What is the overwhelming reason he gave for waiving the rules of the canonization process? Because of the people and placards at his funeral calling for his sainthood! Did anyone tell this poor misinformed and blind presbyter that it was a planned PR blitz by Chiara Lubich and her Focalare brigades who distributed the signs and frenzied up the crowds? Another indication of how the 'saint factory' works as man moves the gears, not the Holy Ghost. The floodgates for diminishing sanctity have been opened wide with the elimination of the long-standing necessary Devil's Advocate. Remember, satan can effect miracles. That is why holy discernment is mandatory. But now, it's anything for a buck with all kinds of propaganda and several religious items being peddled to capitalize on the phenomenon just as JPII encouraged when he was alive. Even rosaries are being pushed on dumbed-down Novus Ordinarians with JPII's graven image instead of Our Lady's and the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the "Salve Regina" / Hail Holy Queen" medal of the Rosary. We know Our Lady and the saints before Vatican II are all in Heaven; but there is grave doubt Karol Wojtyla even made Purgatory considering how he violated what he had promised to uphold and protect. Did Our Lord not say in Luke 12: 48, "And unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required: and to whom they have committed much, of him they will demand the more"? Yet the man-made push to make Wojtyla a 'god' continues with the runaway papolotry. Now books are being published that only verify the veering away from the Catholic Faith with a book already titled "John Paul the Great" with the subhead, "Maker of the post-conciliar church" [sic]. Even the new order writers (25 of them) have no respect for the new church by lowercasing it and have admitted that John Paul II is the "Maker of a new church." As we posted last month, if Novus Ordinarians can't see the unraveling through the obvious facts that modern Rome is in no way connected with Eternal Rome and the Church Christ founded, then at least Traditional Catholics had better. Let's face it. A heretic can never be a saint, especially a manifest public heretic that Karol Wojtyla was well before he was elected by the usurping hierarchy as pope. The fact he did nothing to refute those heresies or repent of his errors, unlike Peter had done, proves he could not have been a valid pope. Does that mean Traditional Catholics will go along with even the idea of sainting a man many consider, in taking his teachings into account, an anti-pope? One wonders as the time quickly approaches to make the line in the sand and admit the obvious. Shortly after Benedict was elected, Michael Matt and Chris Ferrara implored him to do the right thing. Canonizing a man responsible for the damnation of countless souls and who fostered the destruction of Catholicism sure isn't the right thing!!! It is truly amazing that in this day and age there is such a fabricated array of "saints" for this is the very same era which Our Lord and Our Lady indicated to Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres in the 1600's that, "The times will come when doctrine will be commonly known among the learned and ignorant. ...Many religious books will be written. But the practice of the virtues and these doctrines will be found in only a few souls; for this reason, saints will become rare" (page 63 of Our Lady of Good Success: Prophecies for Our Times, Tradition In Action). That last line from Christ Himself shows that John Paul II says something else by the 477 men and women he 'canonized' - more than all 260 Popes combined prior to Vatican II. Who is right Jesus or John Paul II? If you have to think about that then you have been thoroughly lobotomized by the VaticanTwoArians. Watch for an editorial soon on how un-Catholic this all is. It more readily represents the hype of American Idol than the august, sacrosanct process it should be reserved for in considering only those candidates who possessed and exhibited in all things totally Catholic heroic virtue and impeccable moral standards where there can be no room for controversy and no room for doubt...and definitely no room for scandal! Yet his 'pontificate' was peppered with scandal and heresy. The fact that much evidence bears out that he really died on April Fools Day but that the Vatican covered that up too makes it what it really is: a great big joke except God is not laughing. Below are some previous articles on these and similar subjects.

Benedict explores digging in deeper in efforts to sleep with the enemy!
Also, as we reported last month, the great compromise with China continues to plow forward as more Catholic truths are abandoned to placate man. Never mind the persecution of Christians by the Chinese Communists, and the radical Muslims, now Benedict XVI not only going to dialog to death - literally perhaps - those very enemies of the Church who have openly defied the Traditions of 2000 years and sought to persecute Christ and His followers, but is approving lax bishops as the Red Chinese dictate. Calling for diplomatic ties this modernist church will reach out to all of mammon but hold those most faithful to the faith as lepers. Go figure! It's easy to figure because the Vatican II church is the enemy of Jesus Christ and His True Church. The evidence is overwhelming for those who have eyes to see.

Miami Vice 2005-style - Exposing the Flavor and Favor of South Beach's clerics should put Favalora on the hot seat, Finally!
Odds are that it won't be much longer that this apostate archbishop of Miami John C. Favalora will continue to smile since the rot is finally catching up to him. That is because a Polish priest, who isn't even a Traditional priest, was summarily dismissed and persecuted because he dared to complain of sodomite presbyters in every parish where he was assigned. Favalora's hatchet men tried to silence and intimidate him, but Father Andrew Dowgiert was not to be intimidated and has retaliated with a full-fledged suit in which he is ready to open Pandora's Box in requesting a jury trial. Great for public relations of newchurch whose credibility is totally nil, right!?! What makes it all the worse is that the rector of the seminary in Miami Irish monsignor John Noonan - long a fixture on the Florida coast - was just named an auxiliary bishop of Miami by Benedict XVI which only compounds the very problem that modern Rome is complicit in the cover-up of homosexual presbyters for Noonan has long known of the perversion among his fellow clerics and aided and abetted the sinners, and has also covered for his own rotten prelate. His reward? In worldly terms the bishopric. What price will it cost him and Favalora in the long run? Christ answers that in Sacred Scripture very clearly. And now the scandal is about to spill out into public view. As we wrote two years ago, Boston was just the tip of the iceberg of the fetid frozen fruits of the conciliar church - the false church.

The Passion and Plight of Susan Torres and the plea for prayer and help
A case that reminds one of Terri Schiavo and her family is playing out right now with Susan M. Torres, but her situation is even more devastating and yet so encouraging for the sanctity of life. It is the story of the on-going Passion of Mrs. Rollins-Torres, a Catholic wife and mother of a two-year old son in Virginia. Susan's plight also parallels the fiat of the holy Italian doctor and mother Gianna Beretta Molla, for both women have offered their lives for their children. In the case of Susan, we just learned of her terrible predicament on Father's Day, but it was on the day before Mother's Day that Susan, pregnant with the family's second child, collapsed into a brain-dead four stage melanoma. Her husband, rather than pulling the plug as Michael Schiavo so eagerly wanted to do, is doing all he can to keep her alive in order that life within her will continue for she is presently in the 19th or 20th week of her pregnancy and the family hopes and prays that a caesarean will produce Susan's offspring. No greater love can one express than to give one's life for another. Needless to say, medical expenses are obscene and donations are encouraged to help defray costs for hers and the baby's care. We encourage you to go to the special website set up for the family's cause and give what you can.

There are several sources we strongly encourage you to follow so that one can get a true picture of what the traditions should be during this time of transition and questions. One is the regular news wire we carry below from a fairly closely related Traditional Catholic perspective from AngelQueen.org. In the face of so much fawning and false information from the secular media and especially the Novus Ordo media, Fr. Moderator's daily commentaries are a must to understand what is really going on. We encourage you to go to Traditio.com for he is usually on top of whatever event has come down the pike and calls them pretty much as we see them here at The Daily Catholic in striving to uphold and preserve the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church as part of the Resistance to the Revolution of Vatican II, especially during this time when so much misinformation is flooding into homes as fact and the Novus Ordo mentality and novelties will be ingrained in so many.

Like Fox News, The Daily Catholic seeks to provide a fair and balanced perspective on modern Rome always from a Traditional point of view. There are traditional Catholics who believe Ratzinger is a legitimate successor of St. Peter. Their views need to be heard. There are also traditional Catholics who believe he is not a true Pope in light of the heresies of Vatican II and his own complicity in the conciliar church, and have documented such. Their views also definitely need to be heard. Therefore, The Daily Catholic from this point on will provide both views for the discernment of readers for these are very, very critical times - indeed, a time of epikea - the likes of which have never afflicted the Church as it is today. We are all fighting a common enemy and need to be united as Traditional Catholics. We are the Church Militant and in all charity, need to speak out when wrong is being done. The Church is not above Christ. The greatest criteria for our own salvation is being fully Catholic in every way. That means not veering one iota from what Holy Mother Church has always taught. Not one iota! We must cling to the Faith handed down by the Apostles in Divine Revelation and Divine Tradition, reinforced and codified, often with the power of perpetuity by popes, many holy ones, down through the ages. When those infrangible truths are tampered with, we will not stand still and let the marauders have their way. The Church is not a democracy, does not sway with political correctness, polls, public opinion or the times. True authentic Catholics will always confront the barbarians both at the gate and inside the gate, having as their allies our Lord Jesus Christ, His most Blessed Mother, the Primacy of Peter, and all His angels and His saints.

When it comes to all these ungodly laws being passed by liberal judges because of the lobbying and intimidation of a small minority out to do away with the natural and supernatural order, it is wise to keep in mind the following:

Let us pray. O God, our refuge and our strength, look down in mercy on Thy people who cry to Thee; and by the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary Mother of God, of St. Joseph her spouse, of Thy blessed apostles Peter and Paul, and of all the saints, in mercy and goodness hear our prayers for the conversion of sinners, and for the freedom and exaltation of our Holy Mother Church. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

PAPAL PROOF OF WHAT THE CHURCH TRULY TEACHES
For those who truly want to delve deeper into what the Faith teaches and what past Sovereign Pontiffs have decreed, we recommend for your vital reading to better KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH, pertinent Papal decrees which put to the lie what is being promulgated today by the Vatican II church. We strongly encourage you to read these to understand how today the modern church is in Apostasy when compared to what had always been taught by Holy Mother Church and enforced and warned as most grievous by previous Pontiffs as you'll see in CREDO & CULTURE
