TODAY'S PROPER OF THE HOLY MASS: Tomorrow's SUNDAY MASS is the Feast of the HOLY FAMILY which replaces the First Sunday After the Epiphany.
For the Proper of tomorrow's SUNDAY HOLY MASS, see Missa "Exultat gaudio pater"

WHY ONE CANNOT IN GOOD FAITH ATTEND THE NOVUS ORDO.

    REASON #10.
Because "The pastoral reasons adduced to support such a grave break with tradition ... do not seem to us sufficient." *
*The quote is from Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani and Cardinal Antonio Bacci to Paul VI on September 25, 1969 in the The Ottaviani Intervention This is the tenth of 62 reasons which were submitted by the Priests of Campos and endorsed by the late great Bishop Castro de Mayer. Each day we will publish one of the 62 until they're all complete.
Conversely in the True Holy Mass of All Ages:

GRACES RECEIVED FROM ATTENDING THE TRUE MASS.

    GRACE #10.

For thy salvation He sheds His blood in a mystic manner, and offers it up for thee to the Divine Majesty.
This is just the tenth of at least 77 Graces derived from participation at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass - the Mass of All Ages - the Latin Mass of the Roman Rite which was decreed to be said "in perpetuity" by Pope Saint Pius V in codifying the infallible decrees of the dogmatic Council of Trent. These graces are taken from Father Martin von Cochem's Explanation of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with an imprimatur by New York's Archbishop Michael Augustin on June 24, 1818 during the Pontificate of Pope Pius VII.

The entire thrill-packed suspense novel on the fight to preserve the True Faith and the world against the nefarious Legion of the Basilisk is now on-line at WHITE SMOKE, BLACK FIRE!

    TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Dr. Frank Joseph points out an article from yesterday's WorldNetDaily and asks if this is the same ol' rhetoric or truly the U.S. Bishops are going to take the bull by the horns and finally put some clout to their authority? If Frank is skeptical he as reason to be as he shares in his column today Miters Without Muscle

    A LOOK BACK...

1,768 years ago today... the Election of Pope Saint Fabian, 20th successor of Peter took place on this day in 236.. At the moment of his election a dove, symbol of the Holy Ghost, alighted on his head confirming to the his electors that they had chosen wisely and God was greatly pleased. During his fourteen year pontificate the exodus from Rome would be so great in order to flee from the persecution of the Roman Emperor Decius that it prompted the beginning of the hermitical life of the anchorites.

1,323 years ago today... the Christian world mourned the Death of Pope Saint Agatho, 79th successor of Peter on this day in 681. During his three year papacy he maintained strong relations with the English Bishops and encouraged Ireland as a center of culture. He called the Third Ecumenical Council at Constantinople which condemned Monothelitism and censured Honorius. Agatho received the title of "Healer" because of the many miracles he worked.

728 years ago today... marked the Death of Blessed Pope Gregory X, 184th successor of Peter on this day in 1276. Born in Piacenza, Italy, he was elected on March 27, 1272. There was almost a three year vacancy because of disagreements at the conclave of Viterbo. The people finally removed the roof of the conclave and put the cardinals on bread and water until they should come to a decision which they did in choosing Gregory. He convened the Second Ecumenical Council at Lyons, France which is also called Lyons II in which some of the Greek sects were reunited with the Western Church and disciplinary reforms enacted.

PAPAL PROOF OF WHAT THE CHURCH TRULY TEACHES
For those who truly want to delve deeper into what the Faith teaches and what past Sovereign Pontiffs have decreed, we recommend for your vital reading to better KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH, pertinent Papal decrees which put to the lie what is being promulgated today by the Vatican II church. We strongly encourage you to read these to understand how today the modern church is in Apostasy when compared to what had always been taught by Holy Mother Church and enforced and warned as most grievous by previous Pontiffs as you'll see in CREDO & CULTURE

    PRO LIFE PRESCRIPTIONS
Dr. Frank Joseph weighs in today with comments about an article that appeared in yesterday's WorldNetDaily which, really is old news about Bishop Raymond Burke telling pro-abort Catholic politicians, most specifically Democratic Congressman David Obey, to cease from receiving communion if he persists in his pro-abort agenda. We've heard this before and always nothing comes of it. Why should we think it will this time? Frank examines the facts and provides the only way these CINO politicians will toe the line: Public excommunication of the worst offenders. While Obey may not obey, neither have the bishops. Obey is small fish compared to the real whales of the pro-abortion, pro-sodomy anti-Catholic agenda - CINOs Ted Kennedy and John Kerry and that ilk. Frank explains in his column Miters Without Muscle .

      Yesterday:

      Gabriel's Clarion
In Gabriel Garnica's column Friday he continued on his treatise pointing out the alarming aspects of The New Order, focusing on time management and time itself. He showed that no matter how much we dialogue or talk about managing our time, no matter where in the world we might live, the only time standard that we can be sure of and not worry about being late for is by keeping Standard Salvation Time! Time is precious and so fleeting and we can't afford to waste it. Every person is granted 168 hours a week, at least a third or more of that devoted to sleep. But how many are sleeping through more of that time, indeed all of it by not recognizing time slipping away? All we can manage is the time God gives us and the only way is by doing what God asks of us each and every conscious moment as Gabriel explained in his column Efficiency and The New Order .

      On the BattleLine
Friday we shared with you an interesting perspective from Atila Sinke Guimar„es as he took a look back at all the 'hope and promise' for 'justice and peace' that was supposed to bud from the 'fruitful' efforts of John Paul II's historical first visit to Cuba six years ago. But alas, in an Autumn letter from the Cuban bishops the euphoria is no more. Gloom seems to pervade all of Catholic Cuba. More evidence of the barren tree of the 'New Springtime'. No matter how they spin it, it is all evidence of the surface emotions of this regime that pushes form over substance with no solid foundations beneath the faithfuls' feet. Just like the shifting sands of Cuba's white shores, souls are being sucked under, hope waning as Cuba's rigidity and Communistic agenda grows even stronger while the Pope does nothing to follow-up. All show and no finish. Atila also hits on another sore point in Catholic doctrine today: another cardinal pandering to homosexuality by compromising on AIDS cures that only compound the sin explained in his Bird's Eye View of the News with The Cuban Fiasco

      Thursday:

      Chronicle of Catholic Tradition
Thursday we introduced a new series, one that will consist of beaucoup chapters on the history of Holy Mother Church and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We began with the Introduction, and the sources used in this ambitious project of imparting to our readers as many nuances as possible to the early growth of the Church so that more Catholics will understand the Faith, the better they understand it, the more they'll be open to knowing the True Faith and the more they realize how this differs greatly from what is being passed off as 'Catholicism' today indeed is not Catholic at all, but humanism, modernism, and was always opposed by Holy Mother Church as we will document in this vast series which originated Thursday with the Institution of the Blessed Sacrament in Chapter One: It is as it was!

      OP/ED Page
Gary Morella weighed in with the incredulous question "Tell me it isn't true" as he referred to an article in ZENIT Tuesday that does not bode well for True Catholic teaching. Many who have been pontificating that 'John Paul the Great' can do no wrong had better pay strict attention to what Gary revealed in the Pope's own words in the pontiff's relentless campaign to dissolve Catholic truth in favor of humanism and ecumenism as he pushes ad nauseam the agenda of 'justice and peace' - while seemingly shunning the God-given responsibility of Holy Mother Church to be the Beacon for all - by calling upon the satanic United Nations as the answer. Gary asked some very pertinent questions in his op/ed piece on the meaning of salvation in We're in trouble when....

      Wednesday:

      Gabriel's Clarion
In Gabriel Garnica's column Wedesday he continued on his treatise pointing out the alarming aspects of The New Order. He focused on the comfort level which indeed over 40 years has made so many comfortable in their comfort zones that they never want to go back to the way it was in "the good ol' days" - read the Latin Mass and the uncompromising absolutes of Holy Mother Church. This is sad, but what is even sadder is that the more they seek comfort and convenience, the farther away they venture from what Christ intended for us all. Couch potatoes listen up to the wisdom he imparted in his column Comfort and The New Order .

      Tuesday:

      Qui legit, intelligat
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Double of the First Class Feast of the Epiphany, he reiterated how regal men of great wealth bowed and knelt before the greatest of Kings exemplifying what all others must do. Father points out that Herod and his dynasty of seven members was no 'coincidence' but part of Divine prophecy for Herod was not of true Israeli blood. He was an 'Idumaean' - a hybrid if you will - which means 'red' and could very well refer to the Red Dragon of the Apocalypse. Father went on to equate the Herods in the Church today who persecute the innocent - read Traditional Catholics - in slaying the unchangeable tenets of the True Faith. Like the desert of the Apocalypse we can only pray that it will swallow the river of denial and heresies that has flooded so many souls today and, with the help of the Woman - the Blessed Virgin Mary - restore Christ's Mystical Bride - His holy Church. Come, Let us Adore Him.

      Catholic PewPOINT
On the Feast of the Epiphany editor Michael Cain focused on the King, not just on the Child King in the manger to Whom the Three Wisemen traveled to adore, but "The Return of the King" as in the epic by J.R.R. Tolkien which, thanks to the perseverance of Peter Jackson, will now be forever embedded on the silver screen in all the glorious imagery the master storyteller intended. Cain delved even deeper for he perceived an underlying theme within the Trilogy which speaks not of mythology but of a chronology of the True Faith as he detailed his own discernment on each character and place in "The Fellowship of the Ring," "The Two Towers," and "The Return of the King." He shared with the reader the hope that no matter how devastating the situation becomes in the months and years ahead, there definitely is a light at the end of the tunnel as our Catholic Faith teaches and Tolkien has so cleverly contained a compendium of the Faith within his majestic masterpiece of the "The Lord of the Rings" that Cain deduced the greatest storyteller of the 20th Century was not just a master word wizard, but a seer of what lay ahead. Cain explained in his breakdown of the characters and scenes in his commentary Tolkien the Prophet!.
