Let Thy Heavenly grace, we beseech Thee, O Lord, enrich Thy Church, which Thou hast vouchsafed to make illustrious by the glorious merits and example of blessed Francis, Thy Confessor. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

FEATURED IN THIS WEEKEND'S ISSUE:
Traditional Insight Mario Derksen resumes his series on "Humanism and John Paul II" with part thirteen in which he cuts to the chase by questioning how capital punishment can in anyway be equated with the pro-life cause for by aligning the death penalty with the abortion issue, it has only diluted Catholic doctrine by changing catechetical truths into ambiguous relativism and misinformation where anything can be justified for the cause of man. Mario proves this in citing changes in the New Catechism. It is also vital to realize that, on this Respect Life Sunday, by placing capital punishment on the same moral level as abortion, the Modernists are able to continue the destruction of the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church and, in so doing, greatly weaken the entire sanctity of life movement. The ambiguous rhetoric and over-emphasis of eliminating the death penalty has also enabled pro-aborts to continue unabated. Mario explains in his sixth installment on "Death and Life" with his column Changing Doctrines.
Christ or chaos
In observance of Respect Life Sunday, Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey reminds all what being truly pro-life through and through means. It is not just those who say they are pro-life but then approve of artificial abortificients, nor those who compromise on abortion by making exceptions. To truly make the words "Respect Life" mean something we must respect life beginning with a deep, reverent respect for the holy sacrament of marriage - the only situation wherein the reproductive process can be blessed by God. Yet, as Tom delineates, few there are who believe this as he explains in As Always the Babies Lose!
"Qui legit, intelligat"
This weekend we bring you the Sunday Sermon Father Louis Campbell gave last year for the 20th Sunday After Pentecost. Monday we will bring you his sermon for this year's 20th Sunday. Father Louis stresses the faith of the man in this Sunday's gospel whose faith became stronger because Jesus affirmed that his son was healed. Father emphasizes that "without grace it is impossible to please God" and yet, the more the modern Church stresses ecumenism, the closer it becomes Pelagianism for the grace is lacking and therefore, it is impossible to please the Almighty. This is only too evident over the last forty years in the lack of fruits and the disintegration of the faith as Father points out in his homily A Good Man is Hard to Find
Liturgy of the Saints The weekend begins with the Double Major Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi on the First Friday of October, followed by First Saturday on Our Lady's Saturday and the feast of Saint Placidius and Companions, martyrs. This weekend of saints begins with Saint Francis of Assisi.

Obituary Tribute by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey to a great Traditional priest who passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2002 in the Los Angeles area. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, October 4 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 9621 Bixby in Garden Grove, California with the Requiem Mass there on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Our Lord is so very merciful. He permits us weak vessels of clay enough time here in this vale of tears to learn how stupid we have been in the past, to see how others cooperated with the graces made available to them to see clearly the state of the Church and of the world. This gift of divine mercy is ineffable and gratuitous, thoroughly unmerited.
