    Divine Maternity of Our Lady

O God, Who didst please that Thy Word should take flesh at the message of an Angel in the womb of the blessed Virgin Mary, grant to us Thy suppliants that we, who believe her to be truly the Mother of God, may be helped by her intercession with Thee. Through the same Lord Jesus Christ Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

    FEATURED IN THIS WEEKEND'S ISSUE:

    Christ or chaos
The Secular Media has been painted by many within the Church, especially cardinals and in the U.S. by Father Benedict Groeschel, as the culprit of Catholic bashing by taking advantage of the homopederasty scandal that is rocking the Church in America. Father Groeschel maintain the media is blowing it out of proportion. The facts, as Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey points out in taking on Fr. Benedict, are that the scandal begins and ends with the Bishops who are squarely to blame. He also questions why these men in miters are allowed to continue to ravage souls through cover-up and blatant misrepresentation of the teaching of the Church. Could they have another agenda? Tom lays out the evidence in Blaming the Messenger

    Traditional Insight
Mario Derksen continues his series on "Humanism and John Paul II" with part fourteen in which he begins to wrap up his treatise on the death penalty with part VII. This time he illustrates how the American bishops, especially in Florida have damaged the pro-life cause greatly by blurring the line between the killing of innocent persons and the killing of guilty persons. This all evolved from the seamy side of the "seamless garment" theory begun by the late Cardinal Bernardin, which is, in reality, a rainbow cloth to cover such sins as sodomy, murder, and outright lies. Mario exposes the sham of the "seamless garment" with his seventh installment on "Death and Life" in his column Seamless, Shameless: Senseless!.
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
This weekend we bring you the Sermon Father Louis Campbell gave last month for the Feast of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is appropriate to feature Our Lady today for it is the Traditional Feast of her Divine Maternity. It is also the 40th commemoration of the Opening of Vatican II and in his homily this weekend, Father shows how the tree is barren for "By their fruits you shall know them." Sadly, those advancing the causes of Vatican II have forgotten the messages imparted to the children of Fatima for Sunday is the 85th Anniversary of the Final Apparition at the Cova when God allowed the Sun to dance to confirm that He had sent His Own Mother to warn and help His children. The reforms of Vatican II are hardly a fitting way to repay the Almighty by diluting His teachings, de-emphasizing the awe of God's equal Justice and Mercy in the plan of salvation, and compromising the first dogma of the Church of "no salvation outside the Church" as Father points out in his sermon "And thy own heart a sword shall pierce."
    FOCUS
Republished with permission from an article in the September issue of the New Oxford Review, Dale Vree uncovers the conspiracy to silence Michael Rose, author of the best-selling book Goodbye, Good Men. Though banned by bishops because it hits so close to home, his book reveals the truths the bishops are afraid to admit because it would shatter their glass houses that they have built upon the sands of ecumenism and relativism by compromising the Faith in seeking the favor of man. Favor, it would seem is what motivates many conservative - AKA neo-Catholic - publications for, in their haste to protect their territory and gains, are now coming to blows with those Traditional publications which will not compromise the Sacred Deposit of the Faith. The more volleys such publications as Our Sunday Visitor, The National Catholic Register,, and The Wanderer launch at those who will not compromise or be fooled by the modernists' rhetoric such as New Oxford Review, The Remnant, Catholic Family News, The Latin Mass and many others, to name just a few, the more the former end up with powder burns for their cannons are canonically lacking and they are flailing around, their ammo dampened by compromise and contradiction. Vree pinpoints the numerous faux pas the neos have published in his article Killing Michael Rose.
    Pro Life Prescriptions
Because of the importance of the upcoming election, we are carrying over Dr. Frank Joseph column wherein he gets down to brass tacks in entreating Catholics to not be afraid to shake the thunders under their pastors, bishops and fellow Catholics when it comes to expressing who to vote for. Dr. Frank illustrates clearly that it's not the Democratic candidates who, with the exception of a few in remote areas, all embrace the Democratic platform of the culture of death. He points out that we can no longer sit back and do nothing or pass it off as 'only one issue among many.' He questions both the sanity and intelligence of those who still vote Democratic. Yesterday it might have been the party of our grandparents, but today it is, without a doubt, the party of satan. Not only the future of countless preborn children depend on stopping pro-abort votes, but your very souls as well as he expresses clearly in his column Do Catholics enjoy Democrats bashing their Faith, or are they just plain stupid?
    Liturgy of the Saints
Friday is the Traditional Double of the Second Class Feast of the DIVINE MATERNITY OF OUR LADY in which we present a beautiful dissertation composed by St. Louis Grignon Marie de Montfort Saturday is traditionally the observance of Our Lady's Saturday. Sunday is the 21st Sunday After Pentecost as well as the Semi-Double Feast of Saint Edward the Confessor, King of England, who rebuilt the ruined churches on the British Isles including Westminster Abbey. Though not a priest, he is known as "Confessor" because of his great piety. He himself as king took the vow of poverty and had great concern for the poor and sick. For more on this weekend's feasts, see Divine Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Rosary of Mary: our most powerful weapon. October is Our Lady's month, the month of the Holy Rosary. It is also the month we remember her victory for all of Christendom at Lepanto and the 85th Anniversary of the final apparition at Fatima, the day the sun danced. Truly October is Our Lady's time, the month of the Holy Rosary. Pray for the unborn and that abortion will not be compromised by the political expediency of the times where misguided prelates mistakenly join the Death Penalty with the Abortion issue. The Catholic Church condemns abortion, not capital punishment. Pray that the flocks will not be further deceived. Click on the Rosary link to recite the full Rosary in either English or Latin.
