    R. For the Lord hath risen indeed. Alleluia.
    Let us pray.
O God, Who through the resurrection of Thy Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, hast vouchsafed to make glad the whole world, grant us, we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may attain the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
First of all, let us make it perfectly clear: the First Sunday after Easter, the Octave Day of the Resurrection of the Lord, is known as Low Sunday, not 'Divine Mercy Sunday' as the Modernists claim. The latter is a canard concocted by Karol Wojtyla (aka John Paul 2) that has decimated the meaning of Paschaltide and diminished Christ's words to St. Thomas and Our Lord's Apostles, "blessed are they that have not seen, and have believed." Besides it being Low Sunday, it is also known in liturgical circles as Quasi Modo Sunday, and because of so many ferias this week, also Quasi Modo Week. And no, it has nothing to do with Victor Hugo's fictional hunchback of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, but rather, "As only" the Church can so wonderfully compile, the Introit of the Mass "As [only] (Quasi modo) newborn babes (géniti infántes), alleluia, desire (concupíscite) the rational milk without guile (rationábiles, sine dolo lac), alleluia, alleluia, alleluia." And, as the late Cyndi Cain noted in her final written words posted last week, "Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter the kingdom of Heaven" (St. Matthew 18: 3). In holy Mother Church's wisdom She realizes the "rational milk without guile" is the infrangible doctrines and traditions of the Church instituted by Christ, Who cannot deceive nor be deceived as we say each day in the Act of Faith. Thus, we must remain as little children, yes, newborn babes, innocent as possible and not tainted by the world, the flesh and the devil. Not easy in this day and age. Yet, as Jesus assures, as attested to by three of the evangelists, "With men this is impossible: but with God all things are possible."

Continuing with what we brought you last week in commemoration of the one year anniversary of Cyndi's passing on April 8, we bring you, up through the one year anniversary of her Requiem Mass and burial on April 16 (Spy Wednesday last year), her inspiring lessons published here several years ago that are just as pertinent, if not moreso, today. In addition, we also continue to reproduce John Gregory's series on Monsignor Joseph Clifford Fenton's magnificent work "The Catholic Church and Salvation" with Parts Six through Eleven with a few new installments slated for next week.

Finally, to keep abreast of events, their causes and consequences, and inspiration from other ports, we confidently recommend NovusOrdoWatch.org and Christorchaos.com for articles and links, as well as three blogs worth your while, Introibo Ad Altare Dei, Fr. Cekada's Quidlibet, and the satirical, but on-point Call Me Jorge. Also, please keep in your prayers Michelle Maher who is undergoing treatment for severe diabetes, and Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey who suffered a slight concussion resulting in knocking out a few teeth. He is scheduled for oral surgery this week. It takes a lot to silence ol' Tom and not even a few lost molars can stop his sage voice from proclaiming the truths and traditions of holy Mother Church with not one iota of compromise with Vatican Two. Besides all the informative articles in these links above, you can also gain great inspiration during this Paschaltide from John Gregory's meditative reflections on the Glorious Mysteries by clicking below on each of the mysteries.

Station at the Church of St. Pancras in Rome. Low Sunday, so called in order to emphasize the contrast between the great Easter solemnity and the Sunday which ends the Octave, is also known as Quasimodo, from the first words of the Introit. (Not the hunchback of Notre Dame!) In the Latin Missal and Breviary it is Called Dominica in Albis (depositis or deponendis), because the Neophytes on that day put aside their white garments. Another Latin name, Pascha clausum, is preserved in the French Paques - "closes" and in the Dutch Beloken Paschen, i.e. "close of Easter," this day ending the Octave (Collect). The Church compares the Neophytes to newborn babes, and the milk she gives them to drink (Introit) is the faith in Christ which will enable them to overcome with Him the world. This faith has for its foundation the testimony of the Father, Who at the baptism of Christ (water) declared Him to be His Son; the testimony of the Son, Who on the Cross (blood) showed Himself the Son of God; and that of the Holy Ghost, Who by Christ's Resurrection More for Low Sunday

Though the first Sunday following Easter is called Low Sunday, in truth St. John the Evangelists leaves us with a spiritual high in both his Epistle and Gospel, emphasizing how faith conquers all and is the answer to believing in Christ the Lord. The Haydock Commentary for today, provided by John Gregory, shows how those who believe not are liars and in deep trouble if they do not believe the Three in One Who gave testimony and the physical testimony of Christ's two natures - Divine (the spirit) and human (water and blood), which lives on in the Sacred Deposit of the Faith through the spirit (inspired divine revelation), the water (Baptism) and the Blood (the Perpetual Holy Sacrifice of the Mass) - all a Testament of Lasting Faith. As Catholics we go by faith, not feelings. That is why there are few lows when one goes on faith, but a constant confident high that is tempered by a steady keel provided by the sacramental life of the Church that enables us to believe and say the very same words the doubting Apostle said when he was at last convinced: Dominus meus, et Deus meus. My Lord and my God

Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Rector of St. Joseph's Minor Seminary in Rathdrum, Idaho at the City of Mary presents a 13 minute sermon for Low Sunday or as is known in some circles "Quasi modo Sunday" from the Introit of today's Mass. Father hones in on the Gospel of St. John on how Thomas had to see with his own eyes that Christ had risen before he would believe. Father reminds us that we should be encouraged by Our Lord's words "Blessed are they who have not seen, yet believe." To do so we must go on faith and it is the true Faith we believe in that we reaffirm each time we pray the Act of Faith daily as Father relates, "I believe these and all the truths of the holy Catholic Church because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst deceive nor be deceived." That in itself should be evidence that we have faith in all that came before Vatican 2 and anything after, well it is not the true faith because we've been deceived and that can never come from God. Father explains in his sermon Make Acts of Faith Everyday

The Church compares the Neophytes to newborn babes, and the milk she gives them to drink (Introit) is the faith in Christ which will enable them to overcome with Him the world. This faith has for its foundation the testimony of the Father, Who at the baptism of Christ (water) declared Him to be His Son; the testimony of the Son, Who on the Cross (blood) showed Himself the Son of God; and that of the Holy Ghost, Who by Christ's Resurrection attested the divinity of the Redeemer (Gospel). The Gospel further shows us how Christ, Who twice appeared in the Cenacle, dispelled the doubts of the Apostle - not present in the upper room on Easter night - Saint Thomas and praised those who, without having seen Him, yet believed in Him. Let us proclaim our faith in the risen Christ, and in the Divine Presence in the Holy Eucharist let us repeat with Thomas that cry of faith and humility, "My Lord and my God !" Feria for Low Sunday

In Msgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton's list of eight documents on salvation, in his work "The Catholic Church and Salvation" he applies Pope Eugene IV's landmark Cantate Domino towards the end of the Council of Florence. It is well to remember that the teaching of Cantate Domino is not that men must actually become members of the Church in order to attain to eternal salvation. The document insists that pagans, Jews, heretics, and schismatics will not be saved unless, before the end of their lives they are joined (aggregate) to the one true Church. It is Catholic doctrine now, and it was Catholic doctrine when Cantate Domino was written, that a man who is in the Church in the sense that he sincerely, even though only implicitly, desires to live within it, is in a position to be saved if he should die before he is able to attain membership in the Church. John Gregory presents Part Six: The Decree for the Jacobites: Cantate Domino

Where can be found the calibre of physicians like Saints Cosmas and Damian today? Especially in a world where much of the medical profession care nothing for the soul of man.

Unlike the shepherds who tended to their sheep on the hilly slopes of Bethlehem, so many of the human sheep today, shorn of the faith, are hurting because the modern shepherds have abandoned them for easier apostate pastures. The flock is failing, unkempt, with no direction. They grow sicker in body, mind and soul daily and there are so few physicians willing to treat both the body and soul. For her seventh lesson in the University of Virtue curriculm, Cyndi highlighted two brothers who were truly holy physicians - Saints Cosmas and Damian. She points out the virtuous attributes of these holy blood brothers who lived their Hypocratic Oath and, as physicicans, realized that their talents to heal were from God. They understood well through prayer and penance that they had a responsibility to God to give of their talents freely to His flocks. They did so with joy, working long hours with the utmost love and patience in treating patients whether rich or poor. It mattered not, for they saw first and foremost the soul. While they administered the Corporal Works of Mercy to all, they never neglected the Spiritual Works of Mercy. When was the last time you could say that of a doctor today? Those who have taken the Hypocratic Oath should intern on the example of Sts. Cosmas and Damian and recall the words of that Oath. And yes, remember, it was an 'Oath'; that is, a promise made to God. He remembers. The question is will those in the medical profession today, so many who have compromised their pratices, return to using the gift God endowed them with for the good of man's soul as well as his body? The sheep await to get healthy so that they may grow in grace and be well again and multiply. The flocks need urgent care as Cyndi explained in Physicians: Heal the Sheep

Saint Justin, a converted philosopher, and probably priest, is the greatest of the early Apologetes. Before arriving at the sublime knowledge of the Cross he passed through all the various schools of philosophy. He fearlessly proclaimed Christianity, both in argument with the Jew Trypho and in his Apologies to the Emperors and the Senate. As in the writings of St. Justin, so in his Mass said today, the antithesis between human learning and divine knowledge is ever recurring. Thus in the Gradual we read "The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (I Cor. III, 19). Under the Emperor Marcus Aurelius he was scourged and put to death April 13, 162. His tomb is believed to be in the Cemetery of Priscilla, and in 1882, Pope Leo XIII made him after Thomas Aquinas, Patron of Catholic Philosophy, and prescribed the celebration of his feast throughout the whole Church. There is also a commemoration of three more martyrs in today's Mass - Sts. Tiburtius, Valerian and Maximus. St. Valerian was espoused to St. Cecilia, and was converted to the Faith by her, and with her became the means of converting his brother, Tiburtius. Maximus, the officer appointed to attend their execution, was brought to the faith by their example. Feast of St. Justin, Martyr

Who is to say there is not another St. Charles Borromeo out there who will come forth to help set the Barque of Peter upright again? Hopes can be realized through Humility and Prayer.

To provide encouragement that there is hope on the horizon, Cyndi provided a shining example of the possible. It happened before, why can't it happen again? That is the question you will ask when reading of the humility in the short-lived, but fully fruitful life of a holy and influential Doctor of the Church St. Charles Borromeo. In the midst of turmoil, tension, rebellion, lukewarmness, and heresies in the aftermath of wicked popes, God rose up this humble soul to wrest back the true faith from the usurpers and infiltrators. Now, nearly 500 years later the situation is even worse, for the Protestants have managed to cleverly masquerade themselves as part of and inside, and yes, even as the Church itself where man has reached, in their warped thinking that has permeated every conciliar curia and chancery, an equal footing with God. Heresy? Of course, but considering the counterfeit church of conciliarism's track record, should we be surprised? No, nor should we be surprised, if we pray with humility and hope, that God will be merciful and raise up more dedicated bishops of St. Charles' caliber to help bring holy Mother Church back to her rightful order. It can be done! Cyndi laid out the blueprint on how it worked a half millennium ago in her lesson, Humility Hungers for Holy Happenings

In Msgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton's list of eight documents on salvation, in his work "The Catholic Church and Salvation" he applies Pope Pius IX's allocution Singulari Quadam who urged the Bishops to use all of their energies to drive out the deadly error that the way of salvation can be found in any religion. To a certain extent this is a mere restatement of the erroneous opinion according to which we may well hope for the salvation of men who have never entered in any way into the Catholic Church, the first misinterpretation of Catholic teaching reproved in this section of the allocution. Yet, in another way, the error that the way of salvation can be found in any religion has its own peculiar and individual malignity. It is based on the false implication that the false religions, those other than the Catholic, are in some measure a partial approach to the fullness of truth which is to be found in Catholicism. According to this doctrinal aberration, the Catholic religion would be distinct from others, not as the true is distinguished from the false, but only as the plenitude is distinct from incomplete participations of itself. It is this notion, the idea that all other religions contain enough of the essence of that completeness, of truth which is to be found in Catholicism, to make them vehicles of eternal salvation. This is debunked in Singulari Quadam. Compare this to the heresy Bergoglio has been spewing lately. John Gregory presents Part Seven: The Allocution: Singulare Quadam

Msgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton, after citing the allocution Singulari Quadam by Pope Pius IX, returns in his work The Catholic Church and Salvation by offering another papal decree by the same Pontiff, this time Quanto Conficiamur Moerore which reinforces the necessary means of salvation that always include the dogma that outside the Church there is no salvation. He addresses who is not outside and that would include those who might be invincibly ignorant of the true religion and faithfully obey the natural laws and have not committed a mortal sin, though they may not even know the term, they can receive actual grace through the workings of divine light and can be saved, through the baptism of desire. As to who, that is left to God. Conversely one cannot be saved if he knows and refuses to convert to Catholicism and dies in mortal sin. John Gregory presents Part Eight: The Encyclical: Quanto Conficiamur Moerore

God is shouting to us with all these Global Warning signs He has provided, not to mention His infrangible Laws and Church, and still we do not hear Him? If we all took a page from St. Joseph's life and were just still and silent, if we would just shut out all the exterior noise, we'd hear Him in an instant. It is we who are causing the interference, not God!

Cyndi posted a poignant article that should leave us with our jaws dropped and hopefully our mouths shut and our ears and hearts open. We need to turn down the volume and tune into the whispers of the Holy Ghost. After all, how can we hear God if we're constantly talking? How can we communicate with Him when there is so much noise and clutter? Modern technology may be great to most but what is the benefit if it prevents us from communicating with the one Being Who we owe our life to? Why is it so few really can hear God? Why do we think that is impossible? After all He is God. He can do anything. If we who are finite can talk to the Infinite, how in the world can anyone think the Infinite cannot communicate with us? Maybe that's because we don't let Him into our lives. We're too busy, too occupied with things of the world and all its loud and obnoxious chaos. We would be wise to take a lesson from the silent saint the good and holy Saint Joseph whose words cannot be found in holy Writ but whose example should be forever with us for he is the Saint of the Virtue of Silence. Cyndi explained how quiet can be the ideal quietude we need in her lesson, I can't hear You, God!

Let us proclaim our faith in the risen Christ, and in the Divine Presence in the Holy Eucharist let us repeat with Thomas that cry of faith and humility, "My Lord and my God !" Feria for Low Sunday

Cyndi posted a poignant article that is just as pertinent now as it was when she wrote it six years ago. She shared a lesson we can all still use during these days leading toward summer when the sun is the hottest and when the Son is not necessarily too cool with our lacksadaisical attitudes that more readily represent the cultural icon of pulp fiction Alfred E. Neuman, "What Me Worry?" Yes, we should worry if we are not putting our hearts, souls, minds, time, talents and treasures to 100% use for Christ and His holy Church, so afflicted in these times. Cyndi asked if it is pride that keeps us so blaize about so many things, so apathetic in responding to help others spread the Gospel and True Faith amidst the sea of CONciLIAR confusion, or is it a false assumption that we've got it made? She reminded all that such thinking can lead away from God, right into the traps set by the wily evil one who, as St. Peter warned us, goes about like a roaring lion seeking whomever he can to devour - especially those in the Traditional movement, especially true priests and bishops. The devil will use every tool he has to bring us down. We have to be on our guard at all times and Cyndi reminded us of the ruler we have that should clear all confusion: the infrangible tenets of the infallible dogmatic Council of Trent. That is our barometer that we can best gage on our knees. She explained in her lesson Pride and Luklewarmness Lead to the Abyss

In Msgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton's list of eight documents on salvation, in his work "The Catholic Church and Salvation" he applies Pope Pius XII's Encyclical Mystici Corporis Christi in which the last true Pope clearly delineates who is a member of the true Church and who is not. As determined by the holy Cardinal and Doctor of the Church and leading theologian of the Counter-Revolution of Trent, the term agreed upon is "membrum ecclesiae" - members of the Church. The orthodox Fr. Fenton then delineates who are members and who are not and this clearly shows that the true Church founded by Christ does not merely "subsists in" subsistet as the Hegelian Fr. Joseph Ratzinger so deviously inserted into Lumen Gentium while a planted peritus at Vatican 2, but rather IS the Church, the ONLY Church and, without a committed desire to belong, puts one outside the Church with chances of salvation nigh unto nil. No wonder being in the state of sanctifying grace and heeding all the Church has always taught is paramount to reaching eternal salvation. John Gregory presents Part Nine: The Encyclical: Mystici Corporis Christi

The Church compares the Neophytes to newborn babes, and the milk she gives them to drink (Introit) is the faith in Christ which will enable them to overcome with Him the world. This faith has for its foundation the testimony of the Father, Who at the baptism of Christ (water) declared Him to be His Son; the testimony of the Son, Who on the Cross (blood) showed Himself the Son of God; and that of the Holy Ghost, Who by Christ's Resurrection attested the divinity of ...More

In Msgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton's list of eight documents on salvation, in his work "The Catholic Church and Salvation" he applies another decree by Pope Pius XII. Following up on his Encyclical Mystici Corporis Christi, Papa Pacelli released a Letter from the Holy Office titled Suprema haec sacra in which His Holiness makes no question that one can be saved by the baptism of desire, something that contradicts the Feeneyites' contention that one can only be saved by the waters of Baptism. John Gregory shares the Monsignor's points and how it is possible to be saved if one is not a member per se in the Church, but has the implicit desire to be for invincible ignorance comes into play. Yet isn't it amazing how ignorant the stubborn Feeneyites are in not admitting that fact? Alas, proof their arguments are not invincible. John Gregory presents Part Ten: The Holy Office Letter Supremea Haec Sacra

The Mass of the Blessed Virgin shows us Mary as Mother of our Savior. She was predestined from all eternity for the role of co-redemptrix (Epistle), for as Eve was the intermediary chosen by the angel of darkness to bring about the fall of Adam, so also Mary the intermediary to whom the angel Gabriel delivered the message of salvation from Heaven. She is also blessed since she heard the word of God and obeyed it (Gospel) ...More

In Msgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton's list of eight documents on salvation, in his work "The Catholic Church and Salvation" he applies another decree by Pope Pius XII. Following up on his Encyclical Mystici Corporis Christi and Apostolic Letter Suprema haec sacra, Papa Pacelli made sure to clear up any confusion about the dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus (Outside the Church there is No Salvation) with his Encyclical Humani Generis that John provides below in a response to one who had been duped into buying into the slippery slope. His Holiness' thoroughness clarifies and leaves no doubt as to what is necessary for attaining the Beatific Vision for God has the final say. Despite what the Feeneyites' objections may be, the true Church cannot err. Christ has guaranteed that, which only proves the church of Vatican 2 cannot be that Church. John Gregory presents Part Eleven: The Encyclical: Humani Generis

We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

    Prayer Before the Crucifix

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst fix deep within my heart lively sentiments of Faith, Hope and Charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment, whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds; having before my eyes the words which David in prophesy spoke concerning Thee, O Good Jesus: "They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones."

  • The Fatima Prayers

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
