    Each day we feature a title and/or salutation to Our Lady in celebration of Mary's month of May. Since the Double Major of the feast of St. John at the Latin Gate is, in many traditional chapels, transferred to today because yesterday's Sunday feast superseded it, and thus, keeping that in mind we remember that through Mary we are more resolute in cooperating with her divine Son in all things for she is the Gate of Heaven. Now let's all thank her by praying daily her Holy Rosary and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

As we begin to wind down the chapters of Book Three of the Prophesies and Revelations of St. Bridget, we come upon probably one of the shortest chapters in any of the books. Yet in this short quote from Our Lady, the Virgin's words to the bride reveal in an allegory how God the Father chose her from among the saints to be His mother and the port of salvation. Of all the titles accorded to the Blessed Virgin Mary, "Port of Salvation" equates to "Gate of Heaven" yet in a nautical metaphor for Mary is indeed the port to which all souls can safely steer. Why? Because Our Lord can never say no to His Immaculate Mother. And that is the glory of mooring our souls in the Port of Salvation for, as Mediatrix and Co-Remptrix she holds our passport to Heaven as we see in The Port of Salvation

On the seventh day of May, the Feast of Saint Stanislaus Kostka, Bishop and Martyr. The virtue is ATTACHMENT TO GOD and is represented by the BINDWEED which is truly not a weed, but a flower that is stately just as St. Stanislaus remained attached to God despite the pressure of his fellow Poles and even the King. He had only one King: Christ the King, ever remaining the loyal subject and attached always to God. It is most appropriate that this also falls on the First Saturday of Mary's month of May for there is no greater attachment to God than through His most Blessed Mother for Catholics realize to Jesus through Mary. This becomes a normal process if one has a fervent attachment to God and seeks to do His divine Will, one will always be joyful no matter what slings and arrows life and the devil fires at a soul. Mary will guide us to her divine Son and we see this in the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary
