No wonder our Sorrowful Mother continues to weep. We take so little time to spend with her divine Son. We have been promoting the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in everyone's home as Fr. Mateo Crawley-Boevey, SS.CC encouraged. Now, as we see the prophesies of Sacred Scripture playing out in our time, we all need to intensify our prayer life. What better way for those who cannot be in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament because of the shortage of chapels where the True Presence resides, than to be encouraged to watch with Christ before a picture or statue of the Sacred Heart and spend one hour with him in a nightly Holy Hour in one's own home with one's own family? Many of us might feel we don't have one hour a day or week to devote to prayer with our busy life because things are so hectic. Yet, think about all the excuses we might give. Could it be things are hectic because we don't take the time to pray? Do we take our Lord's words seriously when He asked in St. Mark 14: 27, "Couldst thou not watch one hour?"

Our only answer is to do what Our Lady asked at Fatima: to pray daily her holy Rosary and to make reparation. The renowned "Rosary priest" Fr. Patrick Peyton said "the family that prays together, stays together." In this time when the family is being fractured and phased out by Christ's enemies, what better way can we maintain our sanity and work on sanctity then bringing the family together to watch one hour with Jesus? We encourage you to continue the Fifteen Week Rosary Crusade originated by Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P. for the very same purpose we have encouraged all to pray the daily Rosary and establish Holy Hour in the home.

Fr. Mateo has implored us to offer our holy hour in adoration and thanksgiving, petition and atonement just as in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. In fact, he encourages us to include in our Holy Hour the Prayers of the Canon of the Mass, offering these prayers in union with all the true priests who, in other distant hemispheres, are simultaneously offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in Latin. It is an opportunity to add to the Silver Chalice when we cannot assist with the Golden Chalice.

Whatever prayers you might choose, know that God will be pleased that you took the time to devote to Him. Remember Christ's words "Ask, and you shall receive; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.". Let us all storm Heaven and, as we face a pivotal and crucial time in history, heed Fr. Mateo's prayer: "Conquer America, most Sacred Heart of Jesus! Reign in America, Christ the King!" Vivat Christus Rex! Vivo Christo Rey!

With the 100th Anniversary of Pope St. Pius X mandating the Oath Against Modernism, which Fr. Joseph Ratzinger took numerous times in advancing in the Orders, Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey has filed an article on the anniversary that needs to be shared with all. Please circulate widely his short and poignant essay Witness Against Benedict XVI: The Oath Against Modernism.

That, in itself, is all the proof one needs to verify that Ratzinger cannot be a true Pope unless you believe a holy true Pope was totally wrong a century ago. You decide and when you realize Benedict XVI is an apostate antipope, e-mail those voices who refuse to connect the dots. Ask them why they conintue to stubbornly resist and recognize this Modernist blasphemer.

In order to begin to restore holy Mother Church we need to unite the Traditional movement and stop the madness that is the "Motu Mess" which, along with all the other conciliar novelties, contain more than just a "drop of poison" to infect souls as Pope Leo XIII asserted in Satis Cognitum in quoting St. Augustine: "There can be nothing more dangerous than those heretics who admit nearly the whole cycle of doctrine, and yet by one word, as with a drop of poison, infect the real and simple faith taught by our Lord and handed down by Apostolic tradition." We include here the e-mails to the chief traditional and semi-traditional defenders of Benedict on the internet for you to contact and share this powerful evidence:

We also strongly encourage you to send them Griff Ruby's magnificent treatise Down the Yellow Brick Road to Apostasy: The Lumen Gentium Syndrome which pinpoints exactly when and how the 'newchurch', 'Vatican II church', 'novus ordo church', new order church', 'conciliar church', 'post-conciliar church', or whatever you want to call the non-Catholic false collective that split away in the sixties from the only true Church founded by Christ. The fallout has been devastating due to the Modernists' near-total eclipse of the Mystical Bride of Christ, relegating faithful Catholics to the catacombs of today's traditional chapels. Yet, if those voices above who resist and recognize Benedict cannot recognize him as a non-Catholic who has absolutely no authority whatsoever per Pope Paul IV's infallible and perpetual edict Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio, then mounting a crusade to take back our Church is only fractured more. That division and confusion is exactly what the crafty, clever and devious Ratzinger has been counting on. Do we sit idly by and let this continue? It's in your hands, dear readers! It's time to take action. If not now, when?

Please keep in your prayers the renowned long-time Traditional Benedictine Abbot of Christ the King Abbey in Cullman, Alabama Abbe Leonard Giardina, O.S.B. who suffered a stroke and is recovering in a nearby hospital. He was ordained in 1949 and refused to go along with the New Order. In desiring to hold true to Catholic Truth and the Infallible, Dogmatic Decrees of Trent and perpetuate the Benedictine tradition and Rule, he received Abbatial Blessing from Bishop Robert Fidelis McKenna, O.P. to establish the Abbey in the South as a traditional stronghold. Sancta Maria, Salus infirmorum, ora pro patris.

  •     This edition is mostly dedicated to uplifting devotional and inspirational pieces in honor of Our Lady during the month of Our Sorrowful Mother and in commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Pope Saint Pius X's landmark Oath Against Modernism released on September 1, 1910. We also present a feature on this holy The Holy Pope of the Blessed Sacrament.

In respect to how the concept of Modernism has been so twisted, Griff Ruby takes the writers of the Society bearing the holy pontiff's name to task for their scholastic dishonesty in the tenth installment - Worthy of Consideration - in his series on refuting their anti-sedevacantist book. In the twelfth step of "Catholicism Made Simple" we bring you the Moral Virtues, starting with The Cardinal Rule.

We honor the Saints of September which, besides St. Pius X, includes a tribute to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin in a feature by Denise Michele, followed by etimology for the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Lift High the Cross and A Mother's Love that Knows No Bounds and Mater Dolorosa. In addition, we focus on the essence of the The Power of the Prayer to St. Michael and the only Doctor of the Church celebrated this month - Saint Jerome, who is truly Father of the Mother Tongue.

To enhance one's spiritual journey we provide the full traditional liturgy for the month with an overview of the September Propers with more details for Each Day of the month along the left side of this page below. Complementing each Sunday's Epistle and Gospel, John Gregory has provided the Haydock Commentaries for September.

We had hoped we would have been able to have raised enough donations in pledges to schedule a return to daily publication or at least weekly, but alas, so few have responded that we are unable to at this time. But always hopeful and trusting in God's providence, we leave Cyndi's Letter on line in the belief that many over the summer may not have logged on and will be returning with school back in.

Lastly, besides the many other ports and pages we provide links to, we continue with our special Diadems of the Decade for selected articles featured in the month of September throughout the past ten years. These are listed below.

The world is at war. A war of terrorism against body and soul. We, in the United States, face two very large wars that are intrinsicly linked, yet very few connect the dots, as once we would have done when we remembered how to think for ourselves, when we knew right from wrong.

The first war, the far more serious of the two, is the spiritual war we must wage against the false conciliar church that dares call itself "Catholic." Despite the sodomite sex scandals and tacit approval of abortion by the conciliar hierarchy that rests fully with Benedict/Ratzinger and cry to Heaven for vengeance, countless souls continue to attend the newchurch's false "masses", receive phony sacraments, and pour their hard-earned money into the coffers of a heretical sect. How do we conquer this evil? First and always, prayer. Yet, in the heart of my soul, I feel an increasing need to don armor and mael, and begin a crusade just as once the Catholic world formed massive crusades to turn back the infidel Muslim hordes. Today, those who have been brainwashed into believing the false religion of Islam, have declared a fatwa to destroy by violence, infiltration and deception anybody who does not convert to their heretical sect. And what are the conciliar and progressives' response? Not only to tolerate this religion of hate, but to praise it, justifying it by placing Islam and every protestant sect out there, plus any other "ism" that exists, on an equal footing with the only Church founded by the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, the Son of God Jesus Christ.

At the beginning of August we put online a well-publicized spread offering readers the opportunity to pledge to fight for the One True Faith through following the Apostles ...in their footsteps, for we are the Church Militant, whether we don armor, or fall upon our knees in prayer. To this day, only a handful of people have made a small pledge, and, with every passing day The DailyCatholic remains in critical condition, on life support, if you will, with satan celebrating the apathy of traditional Catholics. All Michael and I can do, and do, is to pray for hearts to be softened, for those who can spare a couple of dollars a month to assist us in spreading the True Faith, to come forward. Sometimes, it seems that the harder we try to obey God's commands and teachings, to do what He and His Most Holy Mother Mary have asked of us, the fewer the people who respond to a genuine need. Why? Only God knows. Yet, in humility, I remind you that when we face our personal judgement, God will not ask us what we accomplished while here on earth for His Honor and Glory and the spread of the One True Faith, but, rather, whether we tried, or not. What will you be judged upon? Your help, or lack thereof.

The second war we face is a temporal one. That is to take back our nation as the Republic it was created to be by our founding fathers. That is the first step to restoring Christ as our Sovereign King and Mary as our Immaculate Queen. Only then can our beloved land return to the harbor of holy Mother Church. It is important to realize that under this Republic lies our Declaration of Independence, and our Constitution and Bill of Rights. In the last century, we have lost all knowledge of the above documents, as well as the labors of those founding fathers who knew, from studying history, that democracies don't work, and lead to socialism and eventually a dictatorship where even Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin or Mao Se Tung would be made to blush when the world wakes up one morning and finds that the new emperor is satan incarnate.

In this war, we can and must take action. We must spread the truth, we must know the truth, and we must have God on our side. Why should He bother to help us save our nation, when we don't give Him the time of day, or begrudge giving Him even one hour on Sunday. Why should He help us when we're not willing to fight for him or support His soldiers in the Church Militant? Oh, how far we have fallen, not only spiritually, but also in our temporal care of that which the Good Lord deigned to give us--to be an American citizen, to live in a country that has prospered in all areas, and has been the most generous, charitable country to exist in the history of mankind. Yes, we must pray for our country, its leaders, and prepare to vote out every single progressive Democrat and Republican who is up for re-election in November. We must take back our country from those now in power who care nothing for the will of the people, but only their own agenda of Marxist Socialism. If you think we haven't lost all sense of what the United States of America should be, then you probably agree with the administration that building a mosque at ground zero is right and proper under the "freedom of religion" diatribe we hear about every day.

These two wars, my dear friends, are huge. They require much study of authentic books, written by not only scholarly people, but more importantly, people of profound faith. We must become the crusaders of the 21st century, using not sword or gun, but our profound faith and trust in God to see us to victory on both fronts. Do we trust Him to do that? I'm beginning to wonder just how much we do trust Him. The words "In God we trust" may very well disappear from everything. Why? Because we have demonstrated through our lethargy that we do not trust Him. We surely don't love Him. If we did, we'd keep His Commandments.

My dear friends, despite my frail health, which I willingly offer to God every day for the salvation of my own soul, and the souls of my family, and in expiation for the sins of the world, I am ready to don armor, and, duke it out in the trenches to uphold Trent against the counterfeit church of conciliarism and our Constitution and God-given Bill of Rights against the three corrupt federal branches of America. If you are afraid, then you don't belong in the crusade I am begging you to form, from north, south, east, and west. If we have to walk, we'll walk. But we will take back our country, and dedicate it to Christ Our Lord, and drive back the Muslim hordes and all other enemies of Christ who seek to destroy us any way possible.

Now, having tried to explain to you the two fronts we face in the most rigorous wars we've ever faced, I must tell you the truth about not just The DailyCatholic, but the person who has tirelessly overseen this apostolate for 20 years and who puts his entire heart and soul into it, working late into the night at the detriment of his own health. He has been crestfallen that so few have responded to our plea to follow ...in the footsteps of the Apostles. It is enough to lose faith in one's fellow man, but never in God. As Michael repeats the passage so many times, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

It has grown so bad finance-wise that my husband has had to pare back his work on The DailyCatholic in order to seek outside employment just to pay the bills, pay for gas and feed our family. As you know if you've followed our plight, with our older son disabled with severe epilepsy, our youngest son has been shouldering his share in helping us all survive. However, because of the economy he was laid off. For the past month he's been hustling to find work which is nigh unto impossible. There are countless skilled college grads who can't even get a gig at McDonald's. It becomes discouraging and tears at the confidence as well. Both sons struggle with the dichotomy of what they've been taught by us and the world's strong pull. Right now the world is winning and choking the coffers clean.

Our rent will be due on September third, which happens to be my birthday. (As my mother always said, I was truly a labor of love!). My mom had a terrific sense of humor, and I think I do too. But having a sense of humor, having absolute trust in God's providence for us, is not going to help us get through September or October, which will be crucial months in determining whether we are able to continue publishing The DailyCatholic, let alone keep our dwelling.

So, yes, I told my beloved spouse that I need to plead on these pages from the depths of my human heart as well as the heart of my soul. It is painful, more painful than any suffering the Good Lord sends me to fulfill my personal vows to Him, to see my husband looking older, suffering more in body than ever before, and our younger son frantic to find work, and I have not anything to offer them other than prayer and encouragement. We do not waste anything. We stock up when food items are on sale, try to eat as healthy as possible, eating fresh fruits and vegetables and cutting back on red meats, though Mike will never be a vegetarian except on Fridays. Yet, with each passing day it's slim pickings and getting slimmer.

As a wife and mother, I appeal to all wives and mothers who are reading this. You know how much it hurts you to see any member of your family suffering, whether spiritually, or temporarily. If I could do it, I'd try to get a job tomorrow to help us weather this extremely tough depression. However, my health has fallen to a new low, and in truth before God, I could not handle a job outside the home and I know there are none to be had.

And what is my job now? That which it has been for my entire life. Prayer. Yes, much prayer that supports the work my husband does for The DailyCatholic. I see the lines of worry and stress on his face, I hear his shallow breathing, and I hear the frustration in our younger son's voice as he calls about jobs every day, and finds nothing. As a wife and mother, I plead with all of you to help us. Help us to make ends meet. Our son doesn't want unemployment benefits. He wants to work...hard. He'll work two, three jobs a day if necessary, but he wants honest employment more than any government handout. All that is available are commission sales and that entails days of training without pay and then paying for his own gas. It costs him more and when he does make a sale, he barely breaks even. I believe many of you are in the same boat as we are financially, so I want you to know that you are never out of my humble prayers.

Yet, the Good Lord has put upon my soul the knowledge that there are many who can pay their monthly bills, and still have plenty left for a rainy day. My dear friends, it is raining in this household, and we do not have the plans for the ark. You are today's ark...and God will never let you down if you are charitable to us in this severe economic decline, as Michael and I have entered our sunset years.

To all of you, I commend you to the Sorrowful and Immaculate of Mary, the supreme wife and mother, who knows full well that our plea is just, and she takes all of our prayers, our needs to her Divine Son. She will do the same for you. My dear friends, God created us for a reason, and placed us on this earth at this time for the precise reason we were created in our mothers' wombs. Now, He does not need to perform miracles when He expects His little ones to help one another. Yes, it hurts to have to ask, but I do ask, with humility, and swallowing any pride I have left for Love of Him, and to spread the One True Faith.

There is no other way I can ask, my dear friends. We have come to a position where we are paralyzed in our mortal lives and I end by assuring you that you are remembered at every Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and in every prayer, Holy Hour, Rosary, and every sigh of my soul that the angels take to the throne of Almighty God.

We need a crusade, my dear friends, not only to take back our country, and to extinguish the heresy of the conciliar church, but to come to the aid of those in dire need who are laboring in Our Lord's vineyard. Is it not time to roust the lukewarm in prompting them to be generous, to get involved, to gear for the battle of battles we are all encountering? If not now, when? Perhaps never. That's the true tragedy.

Keeping every one of you in my prayers, I trust in God to move your hearts to help at this perilous time.

          Yours in Jesus through Mary,
          Cyndi

Traditio recently alerted readers that "One press that used to be considered 'traditional' was sold out a couple of years ago to a Protestant conglomerate, but still calls itself 'traditional,' even though its publications now fully support the Protestant Novus Ordo. That press that published Fr. James Wathen's 1971 seminal work against the validity of the Novus Ordo, The Great Sacrilege, has pulled the book from its list because, now under its Protestant directors, it is no longer permitted to state that 'the New Mass [sic] is illegal, immoral, and not Catholic.' The once-courageous press can no longer publish a book that it now claims, under its new Protestant management, 'defames the [New]church and calls its approved form of the mass [sic] an invalid sacrilege.' The press now specifically rejects the truth that the Traditional Latin Mass "is the 'only' and 'true' Mass and that the Novus Ordo is invalid or illicit."

The Fathers are, of course, referring to TAN Books. But have no fear. We are pleased to remind all readers that the late Fr. Wathen graciously gave The DailyCatholic permission in September 2001 to publish the entire book online so that it could be read by everyone, no matter the censorship by the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Thus, you can read his entire masterful work that has withstood the test of 40 years. No one has been able to refute the truth of his words in The Great Sacrilege

With so many unable to access the Traditional Latin Mass, you now have the opportunity to at least inspire your perseverance in keeping the Faith by the edification of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. You can now order a fantastic new DVD on the Tridentine Latin Mass with subtitles for both the Latin and English of a beautiful Low Mass said by Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI on last year's Feast of St. Michael the Archangel on the altar of St. Joseph's in Wayne, Michigan where Fr. Francisco Radecki, CMRI is the pastor and head of St. Joseph Media.

Also includes a Latin Mass Little Missal booklet of the Ordinary of the Mass in both Latin and English. The DVD also has BONUS material on the meaning of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the sacred vessels, vestments and liturgical explanations. A must have for all Catholics. Send them to your friends and family.

To make this available to as many as possible, the price has been lowered to only $15.95 plus shipping. Don't pass up this offer. Catch a minute and a half sample at The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on DVD Offer

In these times when Modernism has metastasized souls, we need to go back to the basics laid out by Pope St. Pius X and urge the "resist-yet-recognize" folks to compare and then decide with Pius and all the true Popes as well as the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church: Modernism is heresy; Ratzinger, and those before him-Wojtyla, Luciani, Montini and Roncalli - all Modernists. Ergo, they are all heretics and could not be true popes! Period!

On Wednesday, September 1 we commemorate the 100th anniversary of His Holiness Pope Saint Pius X issuing a seemingly failsafe mandate to prevent Modernism and other heresies from permeating holy Mother Church with his landmark "Oath Against Modernism". Tragically, as we know few calculated on how many insincere and blasphemous, sacrilegious priests would break that vow to God and rise in office through the ranks to join the enemy of Christ in their attempt to destroy His Church. St. Pius and his successors did not count on the minions forming in the fifth column that would work to eliminate this most necessary, vital Oath. Despite all the precautions this saintly pope did take, it shows just how powerful the devil can be. Remember also, dear friends, that one Joseph Ratzinger took this very oath several times in his rise through the orders to the priesthoood with other conciliar Modernists, beginning with Giovanni Montini, who did away with, thus exposing himself and all others who complied as enemies of God for their rejection of Catholic truth and tradition. Read this short oath for yourself and see for yourself. Oath Against Modernism

On Friday we celebrate St. Pius X's Feast of the holy Pontiff Pope Saint Pius X who was such a crusader against Modernism, the "synthesis of all heresies." Three years ago we commemorated the centennial anniversary of two of his landmark papal decrees warning the faithful of the dangers of this insidious heresy. Lamentabili Sane on July 3 and on September 8 his landmark encyclical Pascendi Dominic Gregis against Modernism, that would be reinforced three years with the mandatory Oath. In recalling St. Pius X's life and studying his encyclicals and papal decrees, it is as if he had seen ahead of time what would occur in his beloved Church and so tried to warn the faithful and the hierarchy. In honor of the legacy of this saintly Pontiff, we present a detailed biography of the man the kind of shepherd so sorely missing today; We can only hope and pray that someday, in God's time, He will lift up a true shepherd devoted to upholding the Apostolic Traditions as St. Pius X was and who did all in his power to safeguard the Sacred Deposit of the Faith For more about this cardinal from northern Italy, see The Pope of the Blessed Sacrament

Griff Ruby files his tenth installment on his series refuting a SSPX anti-sedevacantist book. Sedevacantists are often misspoken of as being disobedient by those who don't understand. But to the true bishops of Holy Mother Church we are most obedient, even when it is not convenient. The SSPX book discusses the opinions of certain sedevacantists regarding the Mass said una cum Benedict XVI. In obedience to our Bishop, our lips are sealed on this. However, what is to be made of the fact that, in the course of that discussion, it is brought out that we sedevacantists are obliged to claim that the Church only gradually has began to come to ascertain Her Sede Vacante status? Are we sedevacantists to be accused of being modernists for claiming that the Church has been obliged to go through something of a "learning curve" in order to understand the true nature of Her present circumstance? It is also ironic in this month we honor the centennial of St. Pius X's Oath Against Modernism that this oath would be mocked by those who cannot bear to admit that what we have done and must claim is not the least bit Modernist, no matter how much they might, through sloppy thinking, manage to make it seem so. Griff provides the reasoning for this and other matters Worthy of Consideration .

While the theological virtues focus on God, the moral virtues focus on man's role in God's plan. The foundation of this are the Four Cardinal Virtues on which are built the other moral virtues. Sadly, today those moral virtues are sorely lacking as society has unabashedly accepted immorality. Once satan infiltrated the Church and took down the safeguards, it was easy for the devil to manipulate man into accepting whatever agenda he wanted to foist down our soulful throats from planting a false church to ape the True Church to poisoning generations with "anything goes". That included every sin of the flesh possible, something Our Lady warned against at Fatima. Today immorality rules the roost for evil is considered politically correct and virtue is looked upon as intolerance. Hate speech is anything that would hinder one from sinning. Lost is the foundation for treating one another in the image and likeness of God. In order to conquer vice we must uphold the virtues for only the virtuous will possess the kingdom of God as we can see in step 12, The Cardinal Rule.

Though September is the month of Our Sorrowful Mother, she is anything but sorrowful over the saints celebrated this month from the most recent holy Pontiff to God's chief captain of celestial beings St. Michael; from holy abbots to courageous martyrs; from an Apostle to his successors, including a holy Doctor who formulated the "guide" for salvation with the Latin Vulgate. There are a plethora of saints and feasts in this ninth month including four feasts dedicated to Our Lady. One can read more about each saint in the Propers of their feast day, but we encourage you to add this short litany to your daily Rosary so that you will have the benefit of invoking the aid of some of these lesser-known saints. Litany of September Saints.

As we wrap up this second year of the Rosary Crusade highly recommended by His Excellency Bishop Robert Fidelis McKenna, O.P., it is vital that we take our responsibility as the Church Militant seriously for NOW is the time; later is too late - all might be lost by then! Just in one short year our country is that much closer to losing its freedom to Socialism, Fascism, yes, Marxism as the Communists and atheists mount a viscious, insidious campaign to destroy America and the faith. At the same time Catholics continue to be ravaged by Modernism and Ecumenism, and grave confusion in that 95% of Catholics do not realize they belong to the counterfeit church of conciliarism and therefore, it is not the true Catholic Church. This Rosary Crusade is an ideal way to pray that those confused will be given the grace to see, flee the Novus Ordo lodges and return to the true Faith before it truly is too late. For those who cannot attend Mass on Saturday, please make your Holy Communions on Sunday, praying a Rosary both on Saturday and Sunday. We should all be praying our Rosary daily and as many decades as our states of life permit. Remember what is at stake as we participate in the Final Four Weeks of the 2010 Rosary Crusade

When you think about it, the Nativity of the Son of God would not have been possible without a prior nativity. So many miss out on the significance of the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary for she was conceived in her mother Saint Anne's womb as immaculate, without the stain of Original Sin. But then why wouldn't the Father prepare the most pure tabernacle for His only-begotten Son? Makes perfect sense that she would be the most perfect being possible. And if Christ honored His Mother with recognition of such respect and love, should any of God's children ever do less? We didn't think so. To put this in greater perspective we bring you a short essay composed a few years ago by Denise Michelle, who is presently recovering from cancer and asks for your prayers in her struggle to regain her strength. We share her tribute to Our Lady with her piece, The Nativity of the Virgin Mary

The crux of our faith rests on the Holy Cross for without Christ's ultimate sacrifice on the Cross there would be no Resurrection, no salvation. Thus we bring you the etimology of the word in a special feature to help the faithful focus on the message Holy Mother Church conveys in the liturgy of the Proper of the Holy Mass so the faithful can better understand the magnificent correlation of Sacred Scripture. It is also our hope that in choosing the Latin word with its meaning and derivative more will be attuned to hearing Latin read at the altar and better comprehend the beauty of the Mother tongue. The VerbumQUO for the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is "crucis" the possessive noun for "cross", taken from the Proper for the Mass of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the Collect, Epistle, Gradual, Offertory, Secret, and Communion Prayer. We shares the etimology in Lift High the Cross

Tradition says that Mary, meeting her Divine Son Jesus bearing His cross, fell under the weight of her anguish. Upon the place of this awful meeting a chapel was raised, which took the name of St. Mary of the Spasm, and a feast was celebrated under the same name for several centuries. At the provincial Council of Cologne in 1413, to rebuke the audacity of the Hussites, who had laid sacrilegious hands upon the images of Jesus Christ crucified and His Holy Mother, was instituted the feast of the Commemoration of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and its celebration was fixed for the Friday of Passion Week. This Feast, substituted for that of the Spasm, or rather blended with it, was eagerly accepted by the faithful. To represent the anguish of Mary, painters have shown her with her heart pierced with seven swords. According to Pope Benedict XIV, this was the origin of the custom: Seven merchants of Florence withdrew to a mountain near that city, and there laid the foundation of the Order of Servites, or Servants of the Blessed Virgin. These pious founders, in meditating on the sorrows of their august pataron, discovered seven, of which some are found in the Gospel, and others are based on other pious reasons as you'll see in the reflection Mater Dolorosa

The VerbumQUO for the Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary is "Stabat Mater" meaning "The Mother stood" or "The Mother was standing" and is the well-known 13th century Gregorian Chant Hymn, taken from the Sequence Stabat Mater for the second of two feasts in the liturgical year for Our Lady of Sorrows; the September observance being the greater Double Feast of the Seven Sorrows, the signature feast for the month of September dedicated to Our Sorrowful Mother. In Passion Week this feast precedes Holy Week and the Triumph of the Cross, but this month it is that triumph, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross which immediately precedes this Double of the Second Class Feast of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let Mary lead us and show us the combination that unlocks the door, possible only by the ultimate Sacrifice of the Cross for we can clearly see as Catholics that A Mother's Love that Knows No Bounds

In honor of the Double of the First Class Feast of St. Michael on September 29, we highlight the entirety of the prayer Pope Leo XIII composed. We all know the short version, mandated to be included in the Leonine Prayers after every Low Mass, but few are aware of the longer version. After Vatican II, in legion with the devil Giovanni Montini outlawed this necessary prayer and then one wonders how "the smoke of satan" got into the sanctuary? The conciliarists wanted to make sure this powerful prayer would never see the light of day again for in it Leo foretold what would happen: The shepherd would be struck, the sheep scattered. We present both the long and short versions of this poignant prayer which should never be forgotten. The Power of the Prayer to St. Michael

The final day of the month, following immediately the Double of the First Class Feast of the Dedication of St. Michael the Archangel, is the feast of the holy Doctor of the Church St. Jerome. He was born into a wealthy family and used those riches to receive the finest education at the hands of the world's greatest professors in Rome and then employed that wealth of knowledge for Christ's holy Church. He amassed all of the Scriptures and, through the grace of the Holy Ghost was able to translate the inspired word into the Latin tongue, all wrapped up in the magnificent Latin Vulgate. For this massive work that he accomplished while continuing to carry out his vocation and mission of shepherding souls into Heaven, he has often been called Father of the Mother Tongue

The problem, as many know when trying to read the commentary compiled by Father George Leo Haydock, is that the typeface is so small that many cannot read the gems contained in these commentaries and miss out on discernments of the Douay-Rheims Bible by the Fathers and Doctors of the Church as well as many saints and theologians. Now, thanks to John Gregory's efforts, we can provide readers with those words republished here in larger type and immediately following each respective verse to aid the contemplation of our readers. We publish these cogent commentaries here in conjunction with the Epistle and Gospel for the following Sunday Masses:

It has definitely been a decade of transition, as this editor dubs it - Transition to Tradition, our last opportunity before God really lowers the boom. Looking back, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see the deterioration in society as the ranks of the good, decent ones striving for holiness grow smaller and the enemy flanks are massing larger and larger, more threatening than ever. With every day we inch closer to the apocalypse foretold in the book of the same name, contrary to Protestant and conciliar concerns that it was always called "Revelation." Would St. John the Evangelist be surprised, and for that matter the holy Doctor of the Church who translated it and several of the holy hierarchs who ratified the Scriptures at various major councils of the Church, most recently at the dogmatic Council of Trent. Many closet conciliarists reading this may not be familiar with that council since the robber barons have sought to eliminate any mention of Trent in the same manner as the U.S. Government is doing everything it can to wipe out any mention of God. For both these offenses there are consequences, grave ones and we are beginning to see now that both anti-Catholic campaigns by the counterfeit church of conciliarism and the United States Congress and its cohorts in the Obama administration both in Washington and Chicago are getting more desperate as each day passes. Those not grounded in grace had best get right with God before it is too late. Call it "gloom and doom" if you want, but that doom can be eternal and that would cause anyone gloom. Can you say fire and brimstone? To remind you, we will be bringing you throughout this year "Diadems of the Decade" featuring an article from each month of each of the past ten years. We're not saying these are the "Best" of the decade for how do you choose which ones are the best? Yet, they are gems that we want to share for we're sure you will treasure them and realize, like fine jewels, they are still as valuable today especially when investing in souls. For this edition, we present a diadem for each September from 2000 through September 2009.

Touched by an Angel. It's not fiction, our Guardian Angels really are there for us to light and guide our way.

This column ran ten years ago in which Sister Lucy Astuto, one of our very first contributing writers in the 90's with her "Getting to the Heart of the Matter" series, shared with all her personal experience with her Guardian Angel and a stunning, inspiring story of Padre Pio's angel. Yes, everyone of us is touched by an angel each and every day, and it's not fiction. The angels are so powerful and there to assist us in the way God wants if only we welcome them in, let them spread their wings and shelter us, let them comfort us and keep us out of harm's way. Allow your Guardian Angel to be at your side, "to light, to guard, to rule and guide." That's what your Guardian Angel is there for. Get to know this wonderful supernatural being, give your Guardian Angel a loving name because they're your best friends and will always be there for you as she verifies in her piece, Wheeling and Dealing with Angels .

Why didn't the last Ecumenical Council condemn communism? The secret accord made at Metz supplies an answer.

Nine years ago Atila Sinke Guimaraes filed a most revealing piece that triggered a tsunami of investigation and resulted in discovering the real truth and why the conciliar church is a false church and not Catholic. It answered the questions we had on why the conciliar church had been so silent about the travesties of Communism? Why? Angelo Roncalli had sold out to the very enemy Our Lady had warned against at Fatima and we see it repeating today with Benedict/Ratzinger selling out with his "hermeneutics of continuity" whatever syncretic bafflegab that entails. It is the same in the United States where we have sat idly by while Barack Hussein Obama sells out our country by making a pact with the enemy, be they Communists or Infidels. This article is an eye-opener for anyone who has been living in a bubble. The Pact of Metz

If we turn our backs on God, why should we expect Him to help us?

This column by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey ran eight years ago on the first anniversary of 9-11. Tom wrote it in the immediate aftermath of 9-11 and it is important to give the reader a look back and how few things have changed for he nailed the reasons why the demonic devastation occurred and, fearfully, will occur again, because we have not heeded God and His holy mandates. Tom followed this with an update which reaffirmed the necessity of establishing the Social Kingship of Christ in every nation, beginning with our own. This can be realized only by obeying fully and faithfully what Our Lady asked at Fatima. There is no other way!! After nine years shouldn't we have seen that? Just look at the feud building between Christians and Muslims. Those who are not with Christ are against Him. It's as simple as that as Tom explained in We've Done This to Ourselves!

A "Transitional" leader who was definitely not traditional. Rather, in looking back, one can see was quite radical. By their fruits you shall know them.

Back in 2003 Mario Derksen, one of the young breed who exemplifies the thinking of many more young men and women today in realizing that the new thinking of the conciliar church does not add up to true Catholic teaching. Thus they long for those traditions so tried and true. Mario's insight not only showed great promise, optimism and hope for the future of Holy Mother Church, but alerted others to question, to challenge and to stand firm to the traditions. He reflected on the "coincidences" of a "transitional Pope" which, no one could deny, John XXIII was. Mario contended in his theory that it was all prearranged in order to implement the very agenda that has rendered the Church so impotent in grace today, all begun by setting Angelo Roncalli up as a "transitional Pope" - the "Good Pope" in the eyes of the world. That alone should have warned us of what was ahead after the "transitional pontificate" ended as Mario identified in his column A "Transitional" Pope?

Pope Pius XI's encyclical Casti Conubii is the best response any Catholic can give to the assault on the institution of marriage today by the hedonists and agents of the devil.

Back in 2004 Kevin Tierney shared some pertinent thoughts on Pope Pius XI's most definitive decree on Christian Marriage in his encyclical Casti Connubii in 1930. Kevin illustrated how it holds truer today than ever before when attacks against marriage have forced all faithful Christians seeking to preserve this sacred institution and sacrament to call for "Protect Marriage Sunday" and fend off the perverted. Had the conciliar 'popes' heeded the advice and wisdom of those who were truly Popes prior to Vatican II, we would never have arrived at this crisis point. Kevin commented on His Holiness' identification of the methods of attack on the holy institute of matrimony in his essay, Modern Society's Attack on the Sacramental Aspect of Marriage

Though a blur to most, what subsisted in Lumen Gentium caused the spark of aggiornamento and ecumenism that has raged into a holocaust of souls, responsible for the scorched faith of billions.

Of all the series we have run, this and Atila's expose on Ratzinger signing off on the heresy that the Jews' wait for the Messiah is not in vain are the most important impact series we've run and are keynote in identifying that the conciliar church, newchurch, the Vatican II church, the Novus Ordo church or whatever you want to call the entity that eclipsed the true Church in the sixties and beyond is in no way Catholic. Because of its vital importance and because you again have a month to digest what Griff Ruby had presented five years ago, which has proved to so many to be one of the greatest arguments to expose the very point of how, when, what, where, who and especially why modern Rome broke away from Eternal Rome. We have compiled his six-part installments into one compendium for September so you can see all the components and nuances and undeniable facts that prove Griff's point as he takes us past the spin right through the skin to the bare bones and then fleshes out what really happened in 1964. Griff laid it all out in his series we've since entitled Down the Yellow Brick Road to Apostasy: The Lumen Gentium Syndrome

Which tower are we building? The Tower toward Everlasting Life or the Tower of Babel that leads to confusion and chaos?

Four years ago Fr. Louis Campbell illustrated the bitter fruits of the new world order and those who would seek to usher it in whether they be high potentates posing as pope or despots posing as madmen intent on bringing about the events of the Apocalypse by bowing to the diabolic UN. They speak of peace, but there is no peace because in stubbornly building the tower of pride - today's Tower of Babel - they have rejected the only Tower that can provide lasting peace - everlasting peace - Jesus Christ - for He is the King of all, and must be the King of all hearts. As the Gospel asserts the proud will be humbled and the humble will be exalted. Only the true Roman Catholic Church can provide "the breadth and length, and heighth, and depth" of God's love and power which can only be found in the fullness of His Church as St. Paul attests. And yet, as Christ points out, so many are "Slow of heart to believe"

At the International House of Liturgies you may have Catholic cravings for reverence and truth, but don't look for any lasting sustenance for you're sure to leave still hungry, having been waffled and flapjacked.

Three years ago when the Motu Mess first raised its ugly head, Father Paul Trinchard, S.T.L. filed an interesting piece with the analogy of a well-known restaurant chain. This time they need to go back to the menu because the Novus Ordo cookie isn't fulfilling souls. The problem is that if, something is poison from the beginning, nothing can save it and it will continue to infect those consuming it no matter how they mix and try to match the batch. Without a validly confected Eucharist by a true valid priest, it will always remain dangerous to one's spiritual health, a sad commentary for those so starving for sustenance. The truth is that all IHOL will do is leave customers waffled and flapjacked. Such is the progress of conciliar concepts draining souls of grace by IHOL's hostile takeover. We can see today Father was right as he explained in his article, IHOL's New Motu Menu

Can those anti-sedevacantist agitators actually hear themselves when they begin squawking away that such an interminable interregnum without a true Pope would be impossible? Have they actually listened and watched the quacks that are running things in Rome? If not they're duck soup!

Two years ago, amid the confusion finally cleared up by Griff's series on the Art of Scholastic Dishonesty in debunking Feeneyism, John Gregory could also see the irony in those who wouldn't connect the dots. Frustrated by this, John illustrated how the idiom of what's good for the goose is good for the gander applied quite aptly to those who will argue against Feeneyism with great logic, but will turn into flapping, stumbling imbeciles when trying to defend anti-sedevacantism. Is there an ulterior motive why they refuse to fly closer to the truth before diving to conclusions? The more dishonest they are with others, the more likely it is that their opinions will eventually get shot down. The question is: What are they trying to protect? Certainly not the obvious truth. John gets at the truth with his article The Truth and Nothing But the Truth!

Will it take being thrown to the lions or herded into prison camps to wake up Americans and Catholics to what is really going on?

One year ago Editor Michael Cain pointed out that Barack Hussein Obama is more sympathetic to terrorists in not only weakening our country, but stripping us of protection and, most importantly, eliminating Christ from the face of the earth. By his actions he is an antichrist and we must speak out on that very fact, just as is the man in Rome who offends Our Lord so by his apostasty. A year later it has only grown worse. How we so offend the Sorrowful and Sacred Hearts. This decay can be traced back to Vatican Two and the loss of the True Faith by countless millions. Those are the kind of damages God will certainly not consider collateral. Cain gives tribute to the forgotten and reminds us of those we should forget, except in prayer - for we may be commanded to love our enemies, but we sure don't have to like them - especially those who think nothing of the carnage of Collateral Damage
