The world is at war. A war of terrorism against body and soul. We, in the United States, face two very large wars that are intrinsicly linked, yet very few connect the dots, as once we would have done when we remembered how to think for ourselves, when we knew right from wrong.
The first war, the far more serious of the two, is the spiritual war we must wage against the false conciliar church that dares call itself "Catholic." Despite the sodomite sex scandals and tacit approval of abortion by the conciliar hierarchy that rests fully with Benedict/Ratzinger and cry to Heaven for vengeance, countless souls continue to attend the newchurch's false "masses", receive phony sacraments, and pour their hard-earned money into the coffers of a heretical sect. How do we conquer this evil? First and always, prayer. Yet, in the heart of my soul, I feel an increasing need to don armor and mael, and begin a crusade just as once the Catholic world formed massive crusades to turn back the infidel Muslim hordes. Today, those who have been brainwashed into believing the false religion of Islam, have declared a fatwa to destroy by violence, infiltration and deception anybody who does not convert to their heretical sect. And what are the conciliar and progressives' response? Not only to tolerate this religion of hate, but to praise it, justifying it by placing Islam and every protestant sect out there, plus any other "ism" that exists, on an equal footing with the only Church founded by the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, the Son of God Jesus Christ.
At the beginning of August we put online a well-publicized spread offering readers the opportunity to pledge to fight for the One True Faith through following the Apostles ...in their footsteps, for we are the Church Militant, whether we don armor, or fall upon our knees in prayer. To this day, only a handful of people have made a small pledge, and, with every passing day The DailyCatholic remains in critical condition, on life support, if you will, with satan celebrating the apathy of traditional Catholics. All Michael and I can do, and do, is to pray for hearts to be softened, for those who can spare a couple of dollars a month to assist us in spreading the True Faith, to come forward. Sometimes, it seems that the harder we try to obey God's commands and teachings, to do what He and His Most Holy Mother Mary have asked of us, the fewer the people who respond to a genuine need. Why? Only God knows. Yet, in humility, I remind you that when we face our personal judgement, God will not ask us what we accomplished while here on earth for His Honor and Glory and the spread of the One True Faith, but, rather, whether we tried, or not. What will you be judged upon? Your help, or lack thereof.
The second war we face is a temporal one. That is to take back our nation as the Republic it was created to be by our founding fathers. That is the first step to restoring Christ as our Sovereign King and Mary as our Immaculate Queen. Only then can our beloved land return to the harbor of holy Mother Church. It is important to realize that under this Republic lies our Declaration of Independence, and our Constitution and Bill of Rights. In the last century, we have lost all knowledge of the above documents, as well as the labors of those founding fathers who knew, from studying history, that democracies don't work, and lead to socialism and eventually a dictatorship where even Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin or Mao Se Tung would be made to blush when the world wakes up one morning and finds that the new emperor is satan incarnate.
In this war, we can and must take action. We must spread the truth, we must know the truth, and we must have God on our side. Why should He bother to help us save our nation, when we don't give Him the time of day, or begrudge giving Him even one hour on Sunday. Why should He help us when we're not willing to fight for him or support His soldiers in the Church Militant? Oh, how far we have fallen, not only spiritually, but also in our temporal care of that which the Good Lord deigned to give us--to be an American citizen, to live in a country that has prospered in all areas, and has been the most generous, charitable country to exist in the history of mankind. Yes, we must pray for our country, its leaders, and prepare to vote out every single progressive Democrat and Republican who is up for re-election in November. We must take back our country from those now in power who care nothing for the will of the people, but only their own agenda of Marxist Socialism. If you think we haven't lost all sense of what the United States of America should be, then you probably agree with the administration that building a mosque at ground zero is right and proper under the "freedom of religion" diatribe we hear about every day.
These two wars, my dear friends, are huge. They require much study of authentic books, written by not only scholarly people, but more importantly, people of profound faith. We must become the crusaders of the 21st century, using not sword or gun, but our profound faith and trust in God to see us to victory on both fronts. Do we trust Him to do that? I'm beginning to wonder just how much we do trust Him. The words "In God we trust" may very well disappear from everything. Why? Because we have demonstrated through our lethargy that we do not trust Him. We surely don't love Him. If we did, we'd keep His Commandments.
My dear friends, despite my frail health, which I willingly offer to God every day for the salvation of my own soul, and the souls of my family, and in expiation for the sins of the world, I am ready to don armor, and, duke it out in the trenches to uphold Trent against the counterfeit church of conciliarism and our Constitution and God-given Bill of Rights against the three corrupt federal branches of America. If you are afraid, then you don't belong in the crusade I am begging you to form, from north, south, east, and west. If we have to walk, we'll walk. But we will take back our country, and dedicate it to Christ Our Lord, and drive back the Muslim hordes and all other enemies of Christ who seek to destroy us any way possible.
Now, having tried to explain to you the two fronts we face in the most rigorous wars we've ever faced, I must tell you the truth about not just The DailyCatholic, but the person who has tirelessly overseen this apostolate for 20 years and who puts his entire heart and soul into it, working late into the night at the detriment of his own health. He has been crestfallen that so few have responded to our plea to follow ...in the footsteps of the Apostles. It is enough to lose faith in one's fellow man, but never in God. As Michael repeats the passage so many times, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
It has grown so bad finance-wise that my husband has had to pare back his work on The DailyCatholic in order to seek outside employment just to pay the bills, pay for gas and feed our family. As you know if you've followed our plight, with our older son disabled with severe epilepsy, our youngest son has been shouldering his share in helping us all survive. However, because of the economy he was laid off. For the past month he's been hustling to find work which is nigh unto impossible. There are countless skilled college grads who can't even get a gig at McDonald's. It becomes discouraging and tears at the confidence as well. Both sons struggle with the dichotomy of what they've been taught by us and the world's strong pull. Right now the world is winning and choking the coffers clean.
Our rent will be due on September third, which happens to be my birthday. (As my mother always said, I was truly a labor of love!). My mom had a terrific sense of humor, and I think I do too. But having a sense of humor, having absolute trust in God's providence for us, is not going to help us get through September or October, which will be crucial months in determining whether we are able to continue publishing The DailyCatholic, let alone keep our dwelling.
So, yes, I told my beloved spouse that I need to plead on these pages from the depths of my human heart as well as the heart of my soul. It is painful, more painful than any suffering the Good Lord sends me to fulfill my personal vows to Him, to see my husband looking older, suffering more in body than ever before, and our younger son frantic to find work, and I have not anything to offer them other than prayer and encouragement. We do not waste anything. We stock up when food items are on sale, try to eat as healthy as possible, eating fresh fruits and vegetables and cutting back on red meats, though Mike will never be a vegetarian except on Fridays. Yet, with each passing day it's slim pickings and getting slimmer.
As a wife and mother, I appeal to all wives and mothers who are reading this. You know how much it hurts you to see any member of your family suffering, whether spiritually, or temporarily. If I could do it, I'd try to get a job tomorrow to help us weather this extremely tough depression. However, my health has fallen to a new low, and in truth before God, I could not handle a job outside the home and I know there are none to be had.
And what is my job now? That which it has been for my entire life. Prayer. Yes, much prayer that supports the work my husband does for The DailyCatholic. I see the lines of worry and stress on his face, I hear his shallow breathing, and I hear the frustration in our younger son's voice as he calls about jobs every day, and finds nothing. As a wife and mother, I plead with all of you to help us. Help us to make ends meet. Our son doesn't want unemployment benefits. He wants to work...hard. He'll work two, three jobs a day if necessary, but he wants honest employment more than any government handout. All that is available are commission sales and that entails days of training without pay and then paying for his own gas. It costs him more and when he does make a sale, he barely breaks even. I believe many of you are in the same boat as we are financially, so I want you to know that you are never out of my humble prayers.
Yet, the Good Lord has put upon my soul the knowledge that there are many who can pay their monthly bills, and still have plenty left for a rainy day. My dear friends, it is raining in this household, and we do not have the plans for the ark. You are today's ark...and God will never let you down if you are charitable to us in this severe economic decline, as Michael and I have entered our sunset years.
To all of you, I commend you to the Sorrowful and Immaculate of Mary, the supreme wife and mother, who knows full well that our plea is just, and she takes all of our prayers, our needs to her Divine Son. She will do the same for you. My dear friends, God created us for a reason, and placed us on this earth at this time for the precise reason we were created in our mothers' wombs. Now, He does not need to perform miracles when He expects His little ones to help one another. Yes, it hurts to have to ask, but I do ask, with humility, and swallowing any pride I have left for Love of Him, and to spread the One True Faith.
There is no other way I can ask, my dear friends. We have come to a position where we are paralyzed in our mortal lives and I end by assuring you that you are remembered at every Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and in every prayer, Holy Hour, Rosary, and every sigh of my soul that the angels take to the throne of Almighty God.
We need a crusade, my dear friends, not only to take back our country, and to extinguish the heresy of the conciliar church, but to come to the aid of those in dire need who are laboring in Our Lord's vineyard. Is it not time to roust the lukewarm in prompting them to be generous, to get involved, to gear for the battle of battles we are all encountering? If not now, when? Perhaps never. That's the true tragedy.
Keeping every one of you in my prayers, I trust in God to move your hearts to help at this perilous time.
Yours in Jesus through Mary,
Cyndi
