As these pages load, we invite you to say as many Hail Mary's as necessary. You can click on the Rosary button to the left as well to see the Rosary Prayers in English, Latin and Spanish. We pray you will be imbued by the truths of the authentic Catholic Faith we provide here and yearn to learn more of the infrangible truths of the One and only Church founded by Jesus Christ.

It's time to launch our special drive once again which will determine whether The DailyCatholic and SANCTUS can continue in 2009. It is easy to say "yes, we're all in favor of the restoration of Holy Mother Church" but we need you to put your money where your heart is. The DailyCatholic exists solely through donations with no salaries to anyone, and this year, we're it not for a few regular contributors, and we do mean "few" The DailyCatholic would have shut down. Many write saying how much The DailyCatholic means to them, but so few show their appreciation with a love offering. Yes, we are in tough economic times, but have you ever thought the reason we are is because many have hoarded their money instead of helping those working in God's vineyard? Food for thought during this penitential season of Advent, a time of almsgiving. Won't you please show your Christmas spirit by helping? We have nine levels from which you can choose to pledge a monthly donation to show your sincerity, to show how much you really believe in the Traditional Catholic cause.

This special feature is provided by John Gregory with the Haydock Commentary found at the bottom of each page of the Douay-Rheims Bible. With the type so small in most bibles, we publish it here in larger type in conjunction with the Epistle and Gospel for the Sunday Mass with the cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary penned by Father George Leo Haydock on the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. The commentary for the Fourth Sunday of Advent lays out the expectations of the great Light in the darkness Who will redeem man as has been foretold with the immediate precursor of the Messias being St. John the Baptist proclaiming the Lord by being the Voice of one crying in the wilderness in fulfilling the prophecy of Isaias that "all flesh shall see salvation" by alerting the world to pray and repent, to "make straight His paths." A manifestation that God depends on man for cooperation in abiding by His holy will as can be seen in this Sunday's Commentary "Make Straight His Paths"

Coming Tomorrow through the Solemnity of the Epiphany: Twelve Days of Christmas Issue. We offer on this Christmas Eve our greetings to all by clicking below:

  • Cushings's Children by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the heretical mindset Boston's political prelate spawned on American thinking that today is so entrenched that Catholic truth means nothing for political correctness rules the roost and why morality has taken a holiday in society because there is no universal guardian of virtue as true Popes manifested before Vatican II.
  • Ratzinger's "Veil of Immunity" could fall in the New Year from Traditio on how the House of Cards that is the counterfeit church of conciliarism could soon come tumbling down as the U.S. Courts are about to rule on a loophole that will place the onus on the chief Robber Baron of souls over the past 40 plus years, specifically the heinous sex crimes. All that has to be proved is that the United States "bishops" work for the CEO in Rome. A no-brainer and there better be no bailouts. The guilty parties' only recourse: repent and recant all heresies and the New Order that has decimated and devastated billions of souls.
  • God Can Always Talk to His Saints by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on how the Modernists everywhere not only insult God with their apostate gibberish that today's youth can't be influenced by the saints of old and that they must be treated according to what the world dictates not the solid, infrangible teachings of Christ's 2000 year old true Church. Another gem by Tom that takes to task these apostates and their insane agendas.
  • Religious Liberty, a 'Monstrous Right' from Tradition in Action on the resounding words of Pope Pius VI in Quod aliquantum back in 1791 which over 200 years later still ring true in the face of the madness being peddled by Robber Barons who manipulate their agenda of a One World church by dispatching Catholic truths as quickly and deftly as they can. Just more evidence that Pius was a true Successor of Peter, Benedict is not!
  • The Vapid "Theology" of Moral Relativism from Traditio on how the Father Moderators explain the method of the madness behind JP2's "Theology of the Body" (first meticulously researched and exposed by Randy Engel) and why the counterfeit church of conciliarism has inevitably sunk into the cesspool of sin with a rock head promoting this filth masked by Modernism's moths such as Ratzinger and his ilk who will never turn into butterflies, but rather back to the worms they are. All we can do is pray that the Modernist church will disappear forever into that wormhole, and those grubbing for Ratzinger as a pope will see the error of their ways and flee, embracing the true Mass with true priests who make no concession to the Vatican II barbarians.
  • Wallpaper That Glows in the Dark by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on what happens when you put your trust in man and the naturalist, greedy methods that produce unbelievable Ponzi scams such as the one Bernard Madoff made off with before it all caught up to him. Everything we do will catch up to us in the Last Judgment and that is why we must put everything in perspective with Christ first and temporal things will mean much less.
  • Ratzinger to the UN: Why don't we all have a "gay 'good' time?" from Traditio on the asinine caving of the apostate Benedict to pressure from the homosexual collective to give up God's truths for man's approval. When will the resist-yet-recognize desperate ones realize the Church in Rome is without a rudder and definitely without a pope...for the past 50 years?!
  • Orthodox Heterodoxy by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the "orthodox heterodoxy" of one Fr. Joseph Ratzinger for the past 57 years of his priesthood. Wait a second, is that not an oxymoron? Of course it is, but considering the apostate moron, who should be the guiding light for millions in guiding them to Heaven, instead serves as a bludgeoning blacklight flickering in confused souls, creating bizarre images, heretical heterodox ideas, and monstrous excuses for why Original Sin and infrangible Catholic truth is no longer in the equation of the new world order he is fashioning.
  • The Glorification of Christmas through History by Margaret Galitzin on how God has chosen this special day of our Lord's Nativity to effect many significant events from the conversion of Clovis to initiate the long illustrious reign of Christ in France, eldest daughter of the Church to Columbus establishing the first European settlement in the New World for Christ the King. Oh how things have changed considering France's fate today and what the revisionists have done to the reputation of Christopher Columbus.
  • No Ambiguity Here by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the conciliar clowns in the curia, in this case Cantalamessa, Ratzinger's "papal preacher", all marching to the orders of their puppetmaster and all peddling the heretical gobbledygook that one can separate Christ from His Doctrine or Christ from the tenets of His Church. Isn't it time for the resist-yet-recognize crowd to admit they're lost in the cul de sac of cluelessness?
  • Archbishop Lefebvre Who? from Traditio on the course Bishop Bernard Fellay has taken in omitting the names of SSPX founder and the noble Bishop Antonio Castro de Mayer from being "reconciled" with the conciliar church. That's really a blessing in disguise for neither of the late prelates would ever have wanted such lukewarm compromise as posed by Fellay and the modern SSPX honchos.
  • Valuing Affronts to Christ the King by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the only-too apparent apostasy of one Joseph Ratzinger in denying Catholic truth regarding separation of Church and State. Benedict's latest words delivered this past Monday prove he is advocating what had been condemned by previous true Pontiffs, thus reaffirming without a shadow of a doubt that he cannot possibly be a true pope, let alone a Catholic. Read and compare what true Popes who guarded the Sacred Deposit of the Faith with such vigor have decreed and what the barbarous wolf, who has opened the barndoor to infidels, believes and preaches.
  • Living on the Edge of the Abyss? by Jorge Zamora on the fact that a leopard cannot change its spots. Obama's goal is to ramp up the abortion agenda, yet the worthless and wicked USCCB either doesn't have a clue or are in cahoots considering their cooperation with a man many believe to be one of the endtime Antichrists, along with the man currently in Rome whom the Chilean author Zamora dares to call "His Holiness." There is nothing "holy" or "Catholic" about what Ratzinger has ruled over; in fact, he is the reason for the moral malaise today as Zamora basically admits in blaming the American "bishops". Who appointed and empowered them? Therein you will see who is at the edge of the abyss, coaxed to bring more to the precipice by the demonic occupant of nether regions below the abyss.
  • When Shoes Say More Than Words by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the shoe-throwing episode in Iraq and what it really says concerning Chaldean Catholics who have been thrown to the whims of collateral damage in this senseless war.
  • Only Themselves to Blame by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the too-little-too-late attitude of the conciliar "bishops" over FOCA for they were the ones who helped create the monster whom the Electoral College fraudulently confirmed on December 15 bringing about the same situation in America as in the Vatican: Invalid leaders with no real authority. The conciliar hierarchs because they are heretics; the new president because he has violated constitutional law by going to great lenghts to conceal that he is not a natural-born citizen. For those not of good will, they get what they pay for; for those of good will, they get what they sincerely pray for in God's time. Be patient and keep praying.
  • Blair ashamed to declare Catholicism from Traditio on the candid admission of Britain's former Prime Minister that he was more afraid of what man thought than what God thought. But then his lies fall right in line with the conciLIARS he was schmoozing up with from JPII to Benedict XVI. No surprise there! Birds of a feather, flock together even if they're vultures!
  • From One Lodge to Another by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the maddening Masonic message delivered by yet another conciliar imposter that should prove to every Novus Ordo "Catholic" and Resist-Yet-Recognize stubborn traditionalists that what poses as the Catholic Church today cannot possibly be Catholic in any way, shape or fashion, and those who head this one-world church of the New Order have no authority whatsoever, thus proving the state of sedevacantism as the interminable interregnum continues. Pray for the those lost in the counterfeit church of conciliarism to be given the grace to flee before the total implosion and destruction of Ratzinger's one world order church, which can't come soon enough for the sake of souls everywhere.
  • Reparation by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on the recomendation to make the Octave Day of the Immaculate Conception a day of Reparation to amend in any way we can our own sins and the immoral malaise of souls due to the loss of the sensus Catholicus due to conciliar concessions to what the true holy Catholic Church would never have done and why we are in the moral mess we're in today. It's up to us to do something about it!
  • An Immovable Foe of Religious Liberty by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on what Saint Lucy and every other saint in the history of holy Mother Church would do in totally rejecting the heretical hellishness the counterfeit church of conciliarism has subscribed to at the cost of billions of lost souls.
  • More Direct Attacks on Christmas and Christians from Traditio on the silence of the mainstream media over the outrageous threats of an Islam leader that celebrating the Birth of the Christ Child is the "pathway to hellfire." Were a Christian leader to do the same about Ramadan (which some brave soul should do) there would be hypocritical outrage from the left. When will we say enough with the lies of the infidels?
  • Two Opposed Poles of Society: Prestige and Money by Professor Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira on how only prestige based on virtue can restore our revolutionary society. No dialogue, no concessions; rather only by uncompromising commitment to restoring the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ through His one, true Church can manners, decency, peace and sanity be restored.
  • It Pays to be Ignorant by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey on how the revisionists have totally skewered history whether it be biblical or constitutional thanks to the dumbing down process both from the counterfeit church of conciliarism and America's progressivist propaganda camps known as public schools. Soon truth will be but a flicker if we continue down this desperate, deadly road to perdition. Oh, will many be surprised what lies ahead.
  • Conciliarly Corporate Works of Corruption from Traditio on the situation in the counterfeit church of conciliarism when bailouts are the buzz words with banks and Detroit, what is needed is a bailout for Catholics from the total mismanagement of the Conciliar Corporation that has wasted so much and jeopardized not jobs, but souls. Also, you wonder about the Mumbai massacres? Look at the conciliar "prelates" who have sold out to the pagans and ask yourself which is really worst.
  • Traditional Latin Mass Locations across the United States where no concession is made to the counterfeit church of conciliarism and where you can be assured you will not be subjected to John XXIII's 1962 Missal.
  • Remember in your Prayers those listed who need your prayers. It is always a joy to remove someone from the list because they have healed. We'd like to share some very good news passed on to us from Fr. Daniel Ahern that he recently spoke with Sister Olive Rowley, the dedicated traditional nun who helps Fr. Martin Stepanich, OFM S.T.D., and he reports she "is fully recovered and, though a variety of ailments limit her activities, she is in good spirits, and still faithful to her Lord and her vows. The sacrament of Extreme Unction and your readers' prayers brought her through the crisis to which you referred." Thank you, Father, thank you , all, for your prayers, and Deo gratias. If some one on the list has recovered, the only way we'll know is if you notify us as Fr. Ahern did.
  • Pray for the Repose of the Souls of those listed who have passed away recently.

Until now ignorance may have been bliss, but in weighing all the evidence, we can see the consequences of continuing to acknowledge a known, blatant heretic as being in union with Christ and His Church.

In an effort to be fair and balanced as a certain network claims, John Gregory tackles a subject, that until recently had not been addressed fully in traditional circles. However the meaning of a certain sentence in the Diptychs of the Living has suddenly become a hot topic, infuriating some, reassuring others. The main point is that though "it" is said silently in the Canon of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, to be silent when one knows what "it" really means is to consent to heresy and be culpable in uniting with an Antichrist as St. John identifies in his epistle. That is not Catholic and, contrary to what some may have conveniently believed to this point in time, we can no longer hide our head in the sand as if we didn't know what is at stake. John provides the rationales for both sides of the una cum controversy in sedevacantist camps and has come to the only conclusion that faithful Catholics can arrive at considering the circumstances that one must always be honest with God and oneself. To be in union with a heretic is being dishonest! He provides the evidence in his piece Clarifying the una cum Controversy

In the midst of Advent we take time to rejoice as we say several times during the holy Sacrifice of the Mass Gaudete; something that gives us hope just as it inflamed the hearts of those hearing St. John the Baptist to repent for the Lord was nigh.

The commentary for the Third Sunday of Advent expresses joy for all in both the Epistle where St. Paul speaks of the attributes of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with Repentant Prayer, Adoration, Petition and Thanksgiving in preparation for the Lord and in the gospel of St. John, his namesake the Baptist, when grilled by the Jews, confounds them by not identifying Who the Lord is by name, but by the Old Testament prophecies and when interrogated as to who the Baptist is he answers with what Isaias foretold as "the voice of one crying in the wilderness" in The Voice of the Precursor

The tragic journey of a good priest who thought outside the box and, by his stubborn pride, found himself and his followers outside the Church even though ironically that is what he fought so hard to defend, but never to Christ's true Authority on earth.

Griff Ruby presents the second part of his eleventh installment of his mega-part comprehensive series "The Art of Scholastic Dishonesty." After exposing the cult, Griff now poses the question: What part of "Rome has spoken, the case is closed" didn't Fr. Feeney and his stubborn followers get? The Holy Office gave him every opportunity to state his case, but he cowardly refused, bunkering down with his cult followers at St. Benedict Center, fighting his battles through his tabloid. While he might have won some battles from the rooftops it all proved futile for he lost a war, one he started and was never necessary. Rather than honorable surrender, he went shamefully to the gallows outside the Church. A sad, tragic commentary on a man who ruined his life and the lives of many who even today continue to stubbornly cling to heresy. All Feeney had to do in order to become the good general, the noble soldier of Christ was to submit to the proper and highest authority in Rome when Rome was still the true Authority. Feeney had every opportunity and he shunned Christ and His Church out of pride. Griff chronicles the events and correspondence leading up to Fr. Feeney's excommunication as he documents in the second part of installment eleven The Church vs. Feeneyism

Today the darkness grows ever stronger, the unholy roam the earth, chaos has snuffed out the calm, the brightness of the True Light has been greatly dimmed. What will you do to keep the Light shining? The inmates are running the asylum with no authoritive power. We have the blind leading the blind. Where is the rage of those on watch? Where is our outrage?

Cyndi Cain returns with another lesson, this one on the energy problem. No, not oil, or alternative energy but rather the only energy that counts. She's talking about the energy to fuel our souls to conduct the True Light to others. Too many sources are draining that energy because we have allowed it to infringe on our spiritual conduits, on our power supplies of sacrifice and virtue. The world, the flesh and the devil with the help of the conciliar compromisers have sapped so many souls of the Light above that a great darkness creeps steadily and stealthily in from below, engulfing so many clinging to the shadows of political correctness and complacency. Lukewarmness on the right only feeds the frenzy of the radicals to snuff out all sense of decency and goodness, all sense of goodness and grandeur, all sense of the sacred and sublime. St. Ambrose encountered the same plight over fifteen centuries ago for he faced similiar erosion of morals, of the faith and of an epicurean endeavor to embrace the world, albeit, not as widespread and ensconsed as today, perhaps not as perverse either, but definitely authored by the same angel of light who refused to shine. Now it is our turn. Will we also refuse? Or will we answer God's call? His call to Rage, Rage Against the Dying of the True Light.

What we need today are men with the backbone of St. Ambrose to stand against the usurpers, to cry out "You are false shepherds, begone! Bring back the true Faith to the starving, depleted, scattered flocks." He was a unifier. Is there anyone who will step forward and truly unite Catholics once more against the heresies so rampant today?

Today, besides being the Vigil of the Immaculate Conception and Second Sunday of Advent superseding the normal vigil day of fast and abstinence, it is the Double Feast of the Holy Doctor of the Church Saint Ambrose. Ambrose was the first to migrate from the north, the Rhineland area of Trier and settled in Milan, Italy where he cast away a lucrative career as a lawyer and politician to accept the people's acclaim as their Bishop. He ruled in holiness and justice and was responsible for converting and nurturing Saint Augustine among thousands of converts. Together they fought vigorously against the Arian heresy towards the end of the 4th century. Unlike the pansy 'bishops' of today, Ambrose stood strong against the heretics and even the emperor for he was not ashamed of proclaiming Christ's truths nor was he afraid of offending anyone if they offended God. This pagan-born saint is known as Saint Ambrose "Converter of Saints"

The prophecies play a part of the two succeeding liturgies for Sunday and Monday, one from Isaias foretelling the lineage of the Savior and the immediate Precursor of the Messias and the other illustrating God's plan from all eternity to effect the birth of the Promised One via the purest of tabernacles in the Blessed Virgin Mary

John Gregory has provided Father Leo George Haydock's cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary on the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. The commentary for the Second Sunday of Advent expresses hope for all in both the Epistle where St. Paul speaks of patience in persevering for Christ and in the Gospel our Lord manifests to the Baptist's disciples that Jesus is indeed the Messias Whom John the Baptist has strived to make way the path for. Christ proves this through the prophecies of the Old Testament, specifically the prophet Isaias who foretold the "Root of Jesse" and affirming St. John the Baptist as a prophet as the immediate Precursor of the Messias. In fact, Our Lord reveals that His cousin in prison is "More Than a Prophet"
The commentary for the Solemnity of the Double of the First Class Feast of the Immaculate Conception show how from all eternity God had chosen the most pure Star of the sea, the light of the heavens reflected in the purest human tabernacle ever created - the Blessed Virgin Mary. Though not specifically identified in Proverbs, we see in the Gospel of St. Luke that she is indeed named, not only specifically as Mary, but "full of grace" and "blessed"..."among all women." This confirmation comes directly from God via His Archangel Gabriel and is all the more stunning since Mary is truly a virgin, at the time of her conception through her Assumption she remains forever ever virgin, ever pure, ever Immaculate as we see in the commentary for this Holyday, From All Eternity

Stubbornness is a trait born of pride often found in cults who refuse to believe their leader is all wet, totally off track. Such is the case with the cult of Feeneyism entrenched at the St. Benedict Center which was founded by Fr. Feeney as ground zero and carried out in defiance of Eternal Rome's warnings to cease and desist. In their disobedience they ceased being "slaves of Mary" and became slaves of heresy.

Griff Ruby resumes his mega-part comprehensive series "The Art of Scholastic Dishonesty" as he now focuses on the messenger. Much has been said about the message of Feeneyism and now Griff sets his sights on the messenger who started this heretical mess, one Fr. Leonard Feeney and how he veered from the path that was formerly so promising. That is what happens when cults are formed and given more importance than the Faith itself. One definition of a cult is "zealous devotion to a person, ideal or thing" and that would definitely apply to those who have so stubbornly clung to the heresy of Feeneyism even in the face of what holy Mother Church has decreed. Normally, to prove a case against such a cult those outside the cult would be called upon to provide evidence or bring testimony to refute the defense of said cult, but in this case the evidence from members of the cult themselves easily indicts all those involved within the cult of Feeneyism. The question is are they, and their iconic leader of recent memory, really that stupid or that proud and devious? Griff shows, sadly, that it is the latter as he documents in the first part of installment eleven Conspiracy of a Cult

With every day we can see so obviously more and more incidents and occasions where Fr. Joseph Ratzinger posing as a "pope", continues to scandalize, but then should we be surprised of such action from a blatant heretic? Of course not. The problem today is that Catholics do not hate heresy the way the saints have urged us to despise sin. Yes, we are to love the heretic, so much so that we must resist any persistent sinner and seek them back in the good graces, but for some this is nigh unto impossible since the vast majority accept a heretic as not only a "pope" but as being in good standing in the Catholic Church while gravely offending God and His First Commandment. Sadly there are many traditional Catholics who ignore this point by attending "una cum" Masses that are illicit. Fr. Anthony Cekada follows up his thoroughly researched thesis of last year The Grain of Incense: Sedevacantists and Una cum Masses with a two-page summary of that essay to reinforce that it is not just an "opinion" to stay away from Masses said in union with a heretic, but a fact backed by the Magisterium of the Church and a serious occasion for sin as Father explains in his article Should I Assist at a Mass that Names Benedict XVI in the Canon?

In addition, we present Bishop Daniel Dolan's affirmation of Fr. Cekada's solid Catholic stance with his sermon given at St. Gertrude the Great on the Last Sunday after Pentecost this year on "the abomination of desolation" in which His Excellency addresses the issue of assisting at Mass. To do so we must actively participate in the propitiatory holy Sacrifice of the Mass as decreed by Eternal Rome for beaucoup centuries and obliged before God "in perpetuity". When we do this we are in accord with the alter Christus - the priest - and if the priest is not in accord with Catholic truth than to knowingly participate is a grave sin. This includes recognizing a heretic as one in good standing before God. It cannot be done and since it is that is enough evidence that it is wrong and should be avoided as a danger to one's soul just as the ancient Christians refused to offer one grain of incense to the pagan gods, show also true Catholics must refuse any recognition to a pagan "pope." This recognition is the major problem with the SSPX, Motuarians, and those who resist yet recognize Ratzinger as a true "pope." His Excellency spells it out succinctly in his sermon Why Do We Say 'No' to the una cum Masses?

The total lack of charity came to a head and continues in the aftermath of the elections, but should that surprise anyone considering America has shown by their omissions and commissions that they don't love God. How then could they ever truly love their neighbor? Therein is the downfall in domino fashion of America as we know it. Civilization has asked for Chastisement and God will answer in kind. Beware.

In light of the recent elections and vitriol of the culture of death and sin-all-we-want crowds that have demanded rights that fly in the face of God, Scott Montgomery weighs in with a short essay on what we have lost for true love (not amare or agape, or even the kind of charity caritas St. Peter refers to in 1 Peter 4: 8, but the sincerest love with which Christ expects us to love Him and our neighbor, to truly love: diligere) - is trampled under when family and values are abandoned and ridiculed. This is the kind of love our Lord references in St. John 14: 15, Si diligis Me, Mandata Mea servate "If you love Me, keep My Commandments." Have we? It's obvious America has not and the consequences are also quite obvious for we have not learned from history or from Scripture. The result, as Scott shows, is the decline of civilization, even in the great United States of America. so blessed for so long by God, but which now cries out to Heaven for vengeance because of its blatant sins and abandonment of God and His Laws, both Natural and Supernatural. Scott laments America's fate for their faithlessness in his essay Charity and the Fall of the American Empire

Have we not seen the signs? There have been signs and we fail to see what they mean as the rest of the world goes merrily on its way toward perdition. Today's Gospel and Epistle forewarns us and yet so many opt to be politicaly correct rather than Christ-correct!.

John Gregory has provided Father Leo George Haydock's cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary on the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. The First Sunday of Advent, the very first day of the new Liturgical Year begins the one-year cycle anew picking up with the apocalyptic warning Christ echoed in the Last Sunday of Pentecost's Gospel and Epistle. With the world, especially America ignoring the Scriptures of "not rioting and drunknenness," "not in chambering and impurities, not in contention and envy" should we follow the PC police and policies or Christ? That is a no-brainer to those who take their Faith seriously. Unless we "put on Christ" in all we do, we had better be prepared to put on an asbestos suit for we're going to need it when "the powers of Heaven shall be moved" and many will realize it's too late. For those who have clothed themselves in the armor of Faith and grace, there will be nothing to fear for "the kingdom of God is at hand" as indicated in the Haydock Commentary, Don't say we weren't warned
