  • Because it's Pentecost Week, the Feast of the Queenship of Mary is transferred to next Monday, June 4. It is also the uncommorated feast of St. Petronilla whose chapel is inside St. Peter's for he was her close spiritual father. She is patroness of the sick and many others.

In Wednesday's issue we offered a heartfelt tribute to Lowell "Mickey" Cain, my earthly father for the past 64 plus years with "Come, ye, blessed of My Father". Dad has completed his 91 1/2 year journey in this vale of tears. The pictures above were taken on his 90th birthday so, as you can see, he aged gracefully and that smile you see was his trademark. There was no pretense about my dad, he accepted whatever God sent his way and was still happy. Very little fazed him. He passed away very peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, May 23, in his Minneapolis home with his second oldest son Patrick, his only daughter Marie and grandaughter Donna present. He had been lingering and slipping for the past six months after being diagnosed with an incurable cancer that consumed his body, but not his soul for we are eternally grateful to Father Brendan Hughes, CMRI for administering the Sacrament of Extreme Unction to him, bringing him Holy Viaticum, and granting him a Plenary Indulgence. He had a special devotion to Saint Joseph and this editor is so grateful that I was able to serve at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass specifically intentioned to the holy Joseph, Patron Saint of a happy death, just two hours before he passed. He had been slipping in recent months and we talked and prayed with him and would bless him each night over this last six weeks by phone and take great consolation that he was wearing the blessed Brown Scapular and Green Scapular of the Blessed Virgin Mary as well as her Miraculous Medal when God called him from this earth. Father Brendan said a Requiem Mass for him on May 25th and there will be another Requiem Mass here at Mt. St. Michael's in Spokane at the 8 a.m. Mass on Tuesday, June 5th. Again, we are most thankful to God and the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen. We want to thank you all who have sent condolences. Your prayers and encouragement mean so much, and we ask you to remember his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Receive his soul, offering it in the sight of the Most High. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Suscipiéntes ánimam ejus offeréntes eam in conspéctu altíssimi. Réquiem ætérnam dona ei, Dómine: et lux perpétua lúceat ei.

    Novena in Preparation
    for the Feast
    of
    CORPUS CHRISTI

From Pentecost Tuesday through the Feast of Saint Norbert, Bishop and Confessor
I thank Thee, Jesus, my Divine Redeemer, for coming upon this earth for our salvation, and for instituting the august Sacrament of the Most Holy Eucharist in order to remain with us until the end of the world.

I thank Thee for hiding beneath the Eucharistic species Thy infinite majesty and beauty, which Thy Angels delight to behold, so that I might have courage to approach the throne of Thy Mercy.

I thank Thee, most loving Jesus, for having made Thyself my food, and for uniting me to Thyself with so much love in this wonderful Sacrament that I may live in Thee.

I thank Thee, my Jesus, for giving Thyself to me in this Most Blessed Sacrament, and so enriching it with the treasures of Thy love that Thou hast no greater gift to give me.

I thank Thee not only for becoming my food but also for offering Thyself as a continual sacrifice to Thy Eternal Father for my salvation.

I thank Thee, Divine Priest, for offering Thyself as a Sacrifice daily upon our altars in adoration and homage to the Most Blessed Trinity, and for making amends for our poor and miserable adorations.

I thank Thee for renewing in this daily Sacrifice the actual propitiatory Sacrifice of the Cross offered on Calvary, in which Thou satisfiest Divine justice for us poor sinners.

I thank Thee, dear Jesus, for having become the priceless Victim to merit for me the fullness of Heavenly favors. Awaken in me such confidence in Thee that their fullness may descend ever more fruitfully upon my soul and let me always be worthy of Thee.

I thank Thee for offering Thyself in thanksgiving to God for all His benefits, spiritual and temporal, which He hath bestowed upon me. In union with Thine offering of Thyself to Thy Father in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, I ask for this special favor:

      (Mention your petition here)

If it be Thy holy Will, grant my request. Through Thee I also hope to receive the grace of perseverance in Thy love and faithful service, a holy death, and a happy eternity with Thee in Heaven. Amen.

O Lord, Thou hast given us this Sacred Banquet, in which Christ is received, the memory of His Passion is renewed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us who are worthy of Thee. Thou hast given them bread from Heaven. Having all sweetness within.

      Let us pray.

God our Father, for Thy glory and our salvation Thou appointed Jesus Christ eternal High Priest. May the souls He gained for Thee by His Blood come to share in the power of His Cross and Resurrection by celebrating His Memorial in this Most Blessed Sacrament, for He liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, forever. Amen.

O Jesus, since Thou hast left us a remembrance of Thy Passion beneath the veils of this Sacrament, grant us, we pray, so to venerate the sacred mysteries of Thy Body and Blood that we may always enjoy the fruits of Thy Redemption through Christ our Lord. Amen.

That is the "INCONVENIENT TRUTH" that so many don't want to acknowledge, namely that millions upon millions are heading for extinction in the everlasting fires if they do not take note of their souls and lifestyles. With the days of the Roman persecution of Christians coming full circle with the heinous, hideous "Hate Crimes" bill, being railroaded through by politicians who have long ago sold their soul to the devil; with other legislation intent on eliminating public acknowedgment to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; with the media in a free-fall both in the news, programming and commercials; with the ultra-liberal NEA commandeering curriculums and revising facts into fiction to fit the Marxist agenda, schools are brainwashing and dumbing down today's younger generation in Hitleresque fashion to accept perversion, diversity, contraception and abortion as normal while the next generation is helplessly being wiped out in the most devastating genocide in the history of mankind under cover of unlawful and horrendous laws that cry to Heaven for vengeance; and with the counterfeit conciliar church usurping the role of the True Church, the shepherds have fled their moral responsibility as hirelings are wont to do and the wolves in sheep's clothing continue to play their proverbial shell game bafflegab and, as they fiddle, Rome continues to burn; all this is only too evident that the world is going to hell in a handbasket, plummeting at breakneck speed. There is only one brake, only one answer and that is prayer for it is truly at the highest level of "Mayday!" as in Heaven help us!!! Therefore, this month is dedicated in a special way to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and we are devoting this issue, with the exception of a few changes, exclusively to devotions that will aid your spiritual life in intensifying your exercises to help right the ship. For this month, all regular articles and features have been suspended until early June. In the meantime the only sources you'll need to keep up with the currents are the cogent commentaries by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey, who we consider the most prolific Catholic writer alive today, and the updated no-nonsense notes from Father Moderator. For articles you may not have yet read, we refer you to our Previous Features. We are in those very times foretold in Sacred Scripture. The signs are everywhere. Are we aware? Do we have the faith of a mustard seed? The question remains, what are you going to do about the Cause of evil today? Know this: The Cure can work wonders!

We can begin to work on this cure by praying her Holy Rosary each and every day - especially during her Month of May - and, if your state in life permits, all fifteen decades as a spiritual bouquet that will pay tremendous dividends both spiritually and temporally for those of good will. We also remind you to pray the Regina Coeli during Paschaltide.

Featured on Monday and Thursday during Paschaltide

Featured on Tuesday and Friday during Paschaltide

Featured on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday during Paschaltide

To add to this bouquet we have the advantage during Mary's Month to offer special flowers each day and the beautiful prayer called...

This prayer, said each day of May, will please our Heavenly Mother greatly and cause Jesus to be merciful to those who trust in Him. You can print out this prayer at The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

There is also the annual Novena for Corpus Christi that begins on Pentecost Tuesday up to the Feast of Corpus Christi on June 7 this year.

We resume daily publication with this issue and will gradually increase articles again. Please be patient. For those days in May previous to Pentecost Sunday, see May Issue. We had suspended all articles for May to focus on the importance of the spiritual, incorporating the Proper of the day along with the special floral bouquet and its significance offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May. The flower buttons above around the beautiful depiction of the Blessed Mother signify each day of May and the explanation of each flower and the virtue it corresponds with is explained below by clicking on the respective dates for each day.

  • For those who cannot attend Holy Mass on a daily basis, or even on Sundays because quite possibly a Traditional Latin Mass is not near, you can always send your Angel to the Holy Sacrifice on your behalf in order to join the untold choirs of Angels adoring Christ come down upon the altar. May 27
On the twenty-seventh day of May, this year the birthday of Holy Mother Church - the Solemnity of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost descended upon the Apostles, the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May is the VERBENA with the corresponding Virtue of PRUDENCE. Bouquets of peachy-pink verbena, often grown in tropical and sub-tropical areas, are often mixed with the sacred boughs of laurel, olive or myrtle plants which are prized and intended to be cultivated just as the soul strives to manage itself by upholding all moral propriety and modesty, presenting itself before God as a victor over sin. So also on this day 1,974 years ago the appearance of the Sanctifier enabled the Apostles to go forth and mix with all nations to convert them as their Lord and Master Jesus Christ commanded them in St. Matthew 20: 28, St. Mark 16: 15-16 and St. John 21: 15-17. For today's Holy Mass, see The First Class Solemnity of Pentecost

      Doctors of the Church
Saint Bede the Venerable, whose feast would normally be celebrated this day is superseded by the Solemnity of Pentecost this year. St. Bede was the sixteenth Doctor in the chronological line of those elevated to the exalted status of Doctors of the Church. He was the illustrious ornament of the Anglo-Saxon Church and its first historian. Considered the Father of English History, he was the first to date events as in the "Year of Our Lord" - Anno Domini (A.D.) and would be appalled today to hear that the Modernist secularists want to do away with any reference to Christ whatsoever, all part of the anti-Catholic agenda to de-Christianize America thoroughly. That is the Masonic creed which Bede would never have stood for. This man was one of the few among saints to be termed "Venerable" and he was officially named a Doctor of the Church by Pope Leo XIII. Considered a Father of the Church, this man is one of the few among the saints who is called Venerable. He was the Benedictines' jewel this Holy Historian.

    May 28
On the twenty-eighth day of May, the feast of the holy Bishop Saint Augustine of Canterbury (which this year is superseded by Pentecost Monday), the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May is the HONEYSUCKLE with the corresponding Virtue of CONFIDENCE IN GOD. This confidence takes UNDERSTANDING which is the featured Fruit of the Holy Ghost today. The honeysuckle, a member of the columbine family is a sweet plant of long spurred flowers that resemble almost a trumpet like shape, trumpeting the Confidence in God. From the amazing floral display thus far in May, we can see the beauty He has created and this should spur on confidence in Him alone. Nothing, however is more beautiful to His beautiful Blessed Mother than a pure soul arrayed in grace. For today's Holy Mass, see Pentecost Monday
    May 29
On the twenty-ninth day of May, the feast of the holy Virgin Saint Mary Magdalen de Pazzi (which this year is superseded by Pentecost Tuesday), the flower presented to Our Lady is the ASTER with the corresponding Virtue being GOODNESS. The Aster is named for the Greek aster which means star and the blooming herbs of the Aster with the showy daisy-like flowers blooms in the Fall, shining amongst the changing foliage which is losing its leaves. Having the gift of Counsel, featured today for Pentecost Tuesday, allows one to exude Goodness which appropriately shines through when others lose their luster. Goodness is what the Blessed Mother cherishes so much in her Divine Son's children for Goodness is the foundation of a sincere heart and a pure soul. For today's Holy Mass, see Pentecost Tuesday
    May 30
On the thirtieth day of May, Ember Wednesday this year and the feast of the holy Martyr Pope St. Felix I (this year superseded by Pentecost Wednesday), the flower presented to Our Lady was the beautiful CAMELLIA with the corresponding Virtue being PERSEVERANCE which ties in so well this year with FORTITUDE, the gift of the Holy Ghost featured for Pentecost Wednesday. The magnificent Camellia, which is a greenhouse shrub, is relatively a new find from the tea plant. In fact, its Latin name was derived after the one who discovered it and who practiced perseverance: the Jesuit missionary Father Georg Josef Kamel, a missionary priest in Moravia. Perseverance also applies to the fact that there is but one more day left in this Month of May to honor Christ by showering His Blessed Mother with bouquets of flowers and virtues. For today's Holy Mass, see Pentecost Wednesday
    May 31
On the very last day of May we offer Our Lady both the ANEMONE flower which represents the beautiful virtue of UNION WITH JESUS and the full bouquet from the full month. It is appropriate that today's featured Gift of the Holy Ghost is KNOWLEDGE for in order to be in union with our Lord one needs to have a knowledge of Him. The Anemone is a woodplant whose beautiful flower is renowned. Also well known is the fact Our Lady constantly encourages us to come to her Divine Son and be united with Him through her. That is because He loves His Mother and His children so and is so pleased when we honor her as He honored her during His life on earth and after in Heaven where He, along with the Father and Holy Ghost crowned Mary as Queen of Heaven and earth. That is why today is so special for we take the entire bouquet offered throughout the month and offer them all to our Blessed Heavenly Queen with a bonanza of bouquets of flowers and the corresponding virtues that we have pledged to Our Lady to practice. Above and in this installment we provide a special graphic where Our Lady is surrounded by these beautiful flowers. This year, because the 31st falls during Pentecost Week, the Feast of the Queenship of Mary is transferred to Monday of the following week. Thus it will be on June 4th. For today's Holy Mass, see Pentecost Thursday

Christ or chaos is the site where Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey has posted some of the most significant articles of our times. There is probably no more prolific writer in the Traditional Catholic Movement today than Tom, whose mission in life is to save souls and to restore the patrimony of the Roman Catholic Church. Few are more dedicated to this cause in not only preaching it, but living what he preaches. He has walked and driven the journey for it is doubtful anyone - anyone - has assisted at Holy Mass at more Traditional Chapels in the United States than Tom and his wife Sharon and their young daughter Lucy. If souls can be equated to miles, than we can be most optimistic that the fruits of his labors, the persecution he has endured both within and without the Traditional Movement, and his constant call for what Pope Pius XI called for as the only answer for world peace in Quas Primas - the restoration of the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ. Only by following His Blessed Mother's advice and honoring her as her divine Son honored and obeyed her for 30 years can we hope to attain such a lofty, but necessary goal for the sake of souls everywhere. We present several of his recent columns below since we'll only be updating and monitoring the site to alert you to his latest column once a week. We strongly encourage you to go there often for you will get the unadulterated Catholic truth and always a frank, honest, and crystal clear assessment of the current crisis and why Holy Mother Church is in eclipse as Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, Saints and Our Lady foretold. Tom has the solutions and it begins with prayer and perseverance and then truly knowing your Faith so you can keep it in this time of The Great Apostasy. Below are a few of his most recent ones. Each is powerful on its own. This should give the reader plenty of reading material for the month not only the few most recent articles below but by clicking on the button below seeing for the archives of his past articles at Christ or chaos Columns

PAPAL PROOF OF WHAT THE CHURCH TRULY TEACHES
For those who truly want to delve deeper into what the Faith teaches and what past Sovereign Pontiffs have decreed, we recommend for your vital reading to better KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH, pertinent Papal decrees which put to the lie what is being promulgated today by the Vatican II church. We strongly encourage you to read these to understand how today the modern church is in Apostasy when compared to what had always been taught by Holy Mother Church and enforced and warned as most grievous by previous Pontiffs as you'll see in CREDO & CULTURE

When it comes to all these ungodly laws being passed by liberal judges because of the lobbying and intimidation of a small minority out to do away with the natural and supernatural order, it is wise to keep in mind the following:

"Unjust laws are, properly speaking, NO LAWS!"
His Eminence Saint Robert Cardinal Bellarmine, Doctor of the Church

We invite you to find out for yourself the truth as we present a compendium portal of documents on the Faith in all aspects, past, present and to come. We guarantee what you read is in full harmony with the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church, and we guarantee you that if you read it all with a discerning heart you will be able to decipher the wheat from the chaff. You will better understand what the absolutes of our Faith are and not be fooled by modernism and ambiguities, no matter how cleverly they are couched. Remember satan is the father of half-truths. Read the fullness of the Truths and Traditions of the Roman Catholic Faith in the sections below.
