Month of the Blessed Sacrament
SUNDAY     April 30, 2006      Volume 17, no. 107

On this Second Sunday After Easter, Father Louis Campbell features a sermon for Good Shepherd Sunday in which he illustrates, through Holy Writ, how to identify a "good" shepherd, something sorely lacking save for traditional circles today. In the Word we have the assurance of who is a true shepherd and who is a false shepherd, and that should govern our actions and obedience to God first and foremost. One who was totally obedient to the will of God no matter the task at hand was Saint Catherine of Siena, who out of Fear of the Lord did not fear what man would think, even popes whom she took on when they veered from what a Vicar of Christ should be. Let us look to her example and contemplate on Sacred Scripture in realizing we have been inundated with false shepherds today. From them we must flee by listening to the words and voice of The Good Shepherd and find our way back to the true fold, small though it may be today. That is our only refuge on this planet: the True Faith, the Faith that has not veered one iota from what has been handed down from Apostolic times.

Pray for those who have been wandering and wondering in the conciliar desert for lo over 40 years. Pray for the conversion of the Novus Ordo hierarchy from the highest to the lowest echelons of the clergy, who, in the same manner as the Arian bishops, have apostasized from the True Church which Jesus Christ established on the Rock of Peter. Pray that they will wake from their devastating slumber, cast off their lukewarmness, and demand the unadulterated dogmatic Faith with no novelties, no ecumenism, no modernism, no anything but truly Catholic, embodied by true shepherds who will mandate the only possible Catholic worship - the true and continual sacrifice: the Traditional Latin Mass, set in stone for all time by Pope St. Pius V. Accept no substitutes or compromises. Modern Rome is in apostasy if they think otherwise! Let us recall the prayers recited on Good Friday for they need to be said daily in prayerful hope of conversion.

Amen.
Let us pray for heretics and schismatics, that our Lord and God may deliver them from all their errors, and vouchsafe to recall them to their holy Mother, the Catholic and Apostolic Church. Almighty, eternal God, Who dost save all, and willest not that any should perish, look upon the souls deceived by diabolical fraud, that, abandoning all heretical depravity, the hearts of the erring may regain sanity and return to the unity of truth. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Who livest and reignest, with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

2006 Nominations Open for the induction into the Tower of Trent Hall of Honor!

There are 13 days left in which the reader has the opportunity to nominate the person of their choice who would be a worthy recipient for the noble Tower of Trent Trophy. This should be someone who has spent at least 20 years in the promotion of True Catholicism and helped the Traditional cause in upholding the dogmatic tenets of the holy Council of Trent. While the emphasis has been on those who have so valiantly worked for tradition in our times, the person does not have to be living and can be anyone from Trent on. So send in your nominees now. The Tower of Trent Nominations will close on the Feast of Saint Robert Bellarmine, the holy cardinal who had so much input in the Council of Trent and worked with Pope St. Pius X to codify the infallible dogmatic decrees of the Council of Trent. Those worthy recipients will be announced beginning on the Feast of the QUEENSHIP OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY. < To submit your nomination/nominees for induction into the Tower of Trent Hall of Honor for 2006, send who you think is worthy to 2006 Nominations

Because the news and rumors ebb and sway with each news report daily, we provide alternate sources above in order to be - to quote a certain network - "fair and balanced" with the various news-sites NovusOrdoWatch.org, Traditio.com, and Angelqueen, as well as the official SSPX site in case they publish anything of landmark importance. Also we are adding to this list an intriguing site called Whisper in the Loggia which has recently seemed to be quite accurate - perhaps because of the moles within the modern Vatican who have provided reporter Rocco Palmo with information. We in no way endorse Palmo, just merely provide it for you because it seems Palmo uncanningly knows the skivvy well before Zenit can ever put a spin on it. We do this all as a service in the same manner The Daily Catholic strives to give both sides of the story when it comes to Traditional issues.

We sometimes have to wonder, other than the few faithful ones who always give, if anyone else cares. We invite you to read the letter from a prisoner in "Lord, Remember me..." which should be a real eye-opener to those who think they are doing enough. Your tax-deductible contributions can help save souls. Does that matter to you or would you rather ignore this plea and not worry about helping others? You have a free will, but you also have a duty before God to help those laboring for the Lord in His vineyards. How much each of you can give will determine how many we can reach for the True Faith. Please think about it and pray on how much you can give from your heart.        For those who might have missed any features during Holy Week, we provide here a brief synopsis of what you might have missed. Gabriel Garnica prefaced Palm Sunday with a piece that proves the hypocrisy of the modern potentates such as Roger Mahony, who lords over his lodges with fork tongue while apostasizing from the True Faith to suit his political agenda as Gabriel revealed in The Ultimate Immigrants. On Palm Sunday Father Louis Campbell illustrated how man today mimics the actions of the Jewish leaders of Christ's time by denying His existence and revising history to suit their own stubborn disobedience and denial as Father pointed out in "He shall bear their iniquities". On Monday we initiated Holy Week by bringing you a "Gems from the Past" of Gabriel Garnica's The Palm and the Wood showing the solidity of the latter and the flimsy, instability of the former. Tuesday, the feast of Saint Leo the Great we brought you a profile on this holy Roman Pontiff and Doctor of the Church Defender of Rome and Codifier of Orthodoxy. On the same Holy Tuesday Timothy Duff delivered a no-nonsense piece on the insanity of even considering Karol Wojtyla for the slightest consideration of any possible chance of canonization. Impossible in the True Church; probable in the false church as he conveys in Was John Paul a "Saint"? On Wednesday we brought readers another "Gems from the Past" in Gabriel's comparison of today's weapons that inflict even more on the precious Body of Christ as he explained in The Five Sacred Wounds We Face, and on Holy Thursday two more magnificent "Gems from the Past" with Catharine Lamb's marvelous description of The Mandatum of Love and Fr. Campbell's Maundy Thursday sermon emphasized the importance of what Christ also established in the Cenacle Room - the holy priesthood - in "I will take up the cup of salvation". On Good Friday we presented two stirring pieces for reflection on this most solemn and somber of day with Father James F. Wathen's meditation on the The Seven Words From The Cross and John Gregory completed his scriptural meditations on the Sorrowful Mysteries with The Crucifixion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Up until the holy Triduum, editor Michael Cain continued to provide a VerbumQUO for each day with ramos, expugne, sacrificium and genu flectatur, meaning "branches, overthrow, sacrifice," and "genuflect." With that the Lent of 2006 came to an end and we welcomed the glorious Resurrection with Fr. Campbell's sermon "When Christ, your life, shall appear".

In keeping with Christ's assurance in Matthew 7: 19 that "Every tree that yieldeth not good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire" the disintegration of the Protestant-Masonic-Pagan man-made church is inevitable. The collapse of this synthetic pan-christian religion spawned from Vatican II, which has usurped the True Roman Catholic Church, is evident from the news reports below, the feature articles to the right, our EyeOpeners highlighting certain news stories, and the realization of what the True Church truly teaches on our CREDO & CULTURE Page, and especially in the infrangible Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the true Liturgy for each day of the Church's liturgical year, which we provide daily for readers with the Ordinary and Proper of each Mass in both Latin and English so Catholics may truly continue to practice their Faith and truly KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH! Tried and True! Tridentine True!

We encourage you to continue to check often with the two best sources for cutting through the spin and chaff to get to Catholic truth:

Two years after we went all out to promote a film - The Passion of The Christ, we're doing just the opposite this year by imploring all Traditional Catholics to support the Boycott of the fiendish film due out this Spring called The DaVinci Code for it is full of blasphemous deceit. It misconstrues so many things Catholic, and is all built on false premises. The only way for Hollywood to hear is to hit them in the wallet. Stay away and tell others to do the same: Make Ron Howard's latest a booming bust!

We began our 17th year of publishing with our tenth on the internet, which originated with our publishing the monthly Catholic-Internet Network for nearly two years before debuting The Daily Catholic on November 1, 1997. And, speaking of looking back, we were proud to have shared a sample of some of the best articles of 2005: Sixty of them!

In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Second Sunday after Easter, also known as Good Shepherd Sunday, he identifies the difference between a true shepherd as Christ exemplified and as His saints and holy popes of the past personified and today's leaders who seek to smother Catholic truth by crowding the synthetic conciliar church with their pomposity, spewing forth tomes of opinions that contradict infrangible dogmas and solid doctrines. The sheep have indeed been scattered by the mercenaries of Modernism and Father shows in Sacred Scripture how this applies to our very times and the eclipse of the True Church founded by Christ. Jesus said "By their fruits you shall know them" and considering the rotting, bitter fruits of Vatican II we know them only too well as each day they betray their true intentions to further scatter the sheep in their attempt to refashion a humanistic religion as man perceives and conceives, not as God has fashioned for the everlasting good of the soul. Just by this fact, as Father points out, heresies of every kind - capped by the mother of all heresies: Modernism - have raised their ugly heads and closed their ears and hearts to The Voice of the Shepherd

    Doctors of the Church
In honor of the feast of Saint Catherine of Siena, we bring you a "Gems from the Past" on the second woman elevated to the status of Doctor of the Church. After Saint Teresa of Jesus from the Spanish area of Avila, came the wise Italian religious St. Catherine of Siena, whom God rose up in the fourteenth century during the time of the Avignon Popes. She was given the mystical gift of the stigmata, not visible to the world until her death. Not fearing what man would think of her, she cared only for what God willed. Spurred on by this heavenly wisdom and fortitude, she convinced the Sovereign Pontiff to end the Babylon Exile in Avignon, France and fought against the Great Schism that began after the death of the Pope she talked into returning to Rome. She was a close counselor to several popes and worked many miracles throughout her life, helping all no matter their walk in life or their state of life or health. Even today she remains powerful in helping us through these tumultous times when the Church has been eclipsed. That is why Saint Catherine of Siena is considered the Powerful and Prayerful Persuader
    Doctors of the Church
In honor of the feast of Saint Peter Canisius, the Dutch-born Jesuit priest who played a key role in the landmark Council of Trent and played a vital role in debating the Protestant heresies throughout Europe, we present a profile on this holy Doctor as part of our "Gems from the Past" that highlights why he was given his unique moniker while whirling through his native Netherlands and Germany, Austria, Bohemia and Poland in saving souls. He was a great eloquent preacher sought by prince and pauper alike. He served as mediator between Holy Roman Emperors and Popes. He also founded the University of Fribourg in 1580. One of his most famous works was "Manuel of Catholics" and he is referred to as the "Second Apostle of Germany," giving way only to the great Saint Boniface as the "First Apostle of Germany." Because of his efforts, the counter-reformation was a resounding success in Bavaria. St. Peter Canisius was Windmill of Wisdom.
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for Low Sunday, he calls for a halt to the blasphemy that rocks the thunderous echoes of Heaven as the most vaunted God-Man is blasphemed and derided, reduced to a simple sinner. What callous calibration Satan has maneuvered to turn so many to deny God, to lambast Him and His Blessed Mother. On this Low Sunday mankind has indeed reached a new low and Father asks how low can man stoop before the wrath of the Father is unleashed. We are long overdue for such a punishment considering man's neglect of the will of God, and it will not go well for anyone who does not rally to be obedient to His ordaining will through prayer and sacrifice, through standing up to the dastardly and blatant attacks against our Creator and sole Reason for being. If we don't act now, we may rue the day which may not be far off when we will stand before our Judge and be declared guilty for our lukewarmness, guilty on all counts of not practicing our Faith when it was needed most. Enough is enough and it has reached that point. Declare now and declare strongly on the side of St. Michael or get out of the way. No man can serve two masters. It's God's way or the highway. The Word has spoken. It's that simple as Father points out emphatically in his sermon The Just Anger of God
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for Easter Sunday, he points to the Paschal Mystery as the great antithesis to the world. which cannot comprehend the mind or heart of the devout believer who forges on against all odds, against the very same type of persecutors who railed against the God-Man some 2000 years ago. Today, in a world now gone mad, so many are mesmerized by the man of perdition who desperately infuses the poison of hate masked as humanities and vanities that man cannot do without. Sin is in, Virtue vitiated; cause is carried on the mantra that superstition is passé ; the new understanding of man holds sway and those, who do not subscribe, are then fair game to be mocked and ridiculed. Such is the crux of the Cross which unbelievers cannot fathom. Even today in the world and the conciliar church, He comes unto His Own, and His Own know Him not - as the beloved disciple, an eyewitness to history and the Paschal Mystery, attests. Should we be surprised? The blasphemers intensify and multiply and few raise up protest, lest they be accused of being a Christian. History repeats itself in so many ways; lukewarmness, so abhorred in Apocalypse 3: 16, surfaces en masse, and only those who burn with trust and believe with Faith, who embrace the Light of the world - Jesus Christ yesterday, today and forever - are protected by the shield of grace which sheds its light symbolically in the Paschal Candle. Let us go forth into the light with the courage of our convictions, as Father encourages with his sermon "When Christ, your life, shall appear"
    Making Sense of sensus Catholicus
We present a beautiful insight from Father James F. Wathen sent by Maria Hughes earlier this week. For three hours or more, Christ was in communication with His Father, praying and offering everything He suffered as a prayer while undergoing the most ignominious torture known to man. This was all necessary for the Lamb of God to offer Himself as the immolated, pure, holy and spotless Victim in order to merit for us everlasting life by completing the first Holy Sacrifice of the Mass by the chief High Priest, once and for all. This Mass of the God-Man was brought to a conclusion on Calvary. In the continual sacrifice of the Mass, the validly consecrated priest, as the alter Christus, prays silently during the Canon of the Mass, re-enacting the holy sacrifice on Calvary in an unbloody manner. He speaks aloud only seven times from the Sanctus through his own consuming of the Body and Blood of Christ; thus imitating the number of times Christ spoke from the Cross. Father shares his inspiration in The Seven Words From The Cross
    Faithful To Tradition
John Gregory presents appropriately the final Sorrowful Mystery today. We have arrived at Calvary. Three hours remain. From the sixth hour to the ninth hour Jesus Christ, the King of kings, the Lord and Savior, Redeemer and Messias, hung in abject humility upon a tree, mocked and derided as the few faithful stood near. After three hours they would all know that this man was the Son of God. Many would not admit it. Pride would not let them. But for those who were sincere, such as the good thief and the centurion; they had to be honest with themselves. So also we must be honest with ourselves as we stand with His Blessed Mother, the beloved disciple, and Mary Magdalene. For this is the moment of truth. John shares his meditation in The Crucifixion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
We bring you a retro column from Father Louis Campbell's sermon for Maundy Thursday's Evening Mass in which he emphasizes importance of the priesthood on the institution of Holy Orders by the Divine Priest and the vital necessity for priests to be as pure and worthy of the call of Melchizedech that, one ordained through the most noble of Sacraments in the carrying out of Christ's charge in Mark 16: 15-16, could fulfill and increase the number of saved souls through his exemplary sacerdotal behavior. This is carried out by virtue of his vow to preserve the Sacred Traditions and Doctrines of Christ's Church and, most vital, the administration of the most Sublime Sacrament in being the alter Christus where he is the only instrument able to carry out the necessary Transubstantiation to offer to the Father the True Presence of Jesus in the unbloody propitiatory Sacrifice of the Mass. Yes, there is nothing more sublime or necessary for Catholics. The world has never understood the sacerdotal nature of the priesthood, but in its ignorance it has greatly misrepresented this most sacred vocation in which the essence is to work counterproductive to worldly goals. The very fact that the priesthood has been so viciously attacked by satan through the unprecedented assaulting of the human vulnerabilities of so many priests and their bishops who have become lax and caused grave scandals makes the road for good, dedicated priests all the more difficult. The true Church needs men who can assimilate their suffering with Christ on the road to Calvary. Why are priests so precious and priceless to the faithful and the preservation of the True Faith? Contrary to the relaxed and, often times anathematical norms of Vatican II, only truly consecrated priests can offer, on behalf of Christ, the cup of salvation containing His Most Precious Body and Blood. Father explains in his sermon "I will take up the cup of salvation"
Shears and Tears of a Lamb
As a retro treat, we bring you Catharine Lamb's excellent piece from last year at this time in which she helps us prepare for the beginning of the Easter Triduum by giving us a better perspective of the symbolism and meaning of the rituals of Maundy Thursday and why it is called such, for Maundy means Mandatum which translates to 'Commandment' and this Christ gave us with the institution of the Blessed Sacrament gifting those worthy of His graces His Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. Catharine also gives us some insight into the Office of Tenebrae and where it originated and its beautiful meaning and customs kept alive from the monks keeping Christ company overnight to Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the side chapel for the faithful to keep watch. Catharine takes us through today's magnificent liturgy practiced for so many centuries by Holy Mother Church. She explains in - The Mandatum of Love
    Gabriel's Clarion
For this Holy Week we bring you a redux of Gabriel Garnica features from last year on certain reflections for Holy Week in which he focused on the Five Wounds of Christ and, just as the Sorrowful Mother suffered with Her Divine Son, true Catholics cannot help but feel the pains of the five sacred wounds if they are truly Catholic. Gabriel points out that this entails the free will to willingly embrace the Cross and share in the pain of suffering - redemptive suffering - through assimilation of what Jesus went through to a far greater extent on our human part. Gabriel identifies the correlation of each major wound with what Catholics should consider as outrage against their Lord and Savior. Gabriel takes us through the wounds in his reflective column The Five Sacred Wounds We Face
    The VerbumQUO
Today, Wednesday in Holy Week, also known as Spy Wednesday, editor Michael Cain has chosen as the VerbumQUO for today the two Latin words genu flectátur which comprise the English word "genuflect" in contemplating on the outward sign of reverence extended by Catholics whenever they come into the house of God or are assisting at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Cain takes the reader through the highlights of the Holy Mass to illustrate how reverence and humility play such a pivotal part of the holy sacrifice offered by the priest and the number of times he himself genuflects to Almighty God during the Mass. It is a far cry, as Cain points out, from the novelties of the Novus Ordo which have basically eliminated any need to kneel for the proud have no need to bow down! Oh, but they do! And yet in the conciliar rite, there is nothing to bow to! Oh, how they need the Holy Sacrifice to cleanse them of the false worship they have been swallowed up in which is so suffocating souls. Cain explains in Every Knee Must Bend!
    "Fiat Voluntas Dei"
On this Tuesday in Holy Week when the evangelist Saint Mark chronicles the deviousness of Judas in the Passion Reading, Timothy Duff asks about another betrayer who has been given a certain status by the apparatchiks he installed to reward him with an honor that he is surely not deserving of, not in the least. Tim shows that any consideration is as much an aberration than giving credence that Judas was only being obedient to what Christ wanted him to do as the gnostics wrote in the infamous Gospel of Judas. Either way both Judas and John Paul II were guilty of betrayal. On this day when the True Church honors the orthodox giant of the Faith Saint Leo the Great, the holy Doctor of the Church, it is an insult to every person who professes to be Catholic to even think of the possibility of Karol Wojtyla even being considered for one second as holy and worthy of even the slightest consideration of canonization. Only to those who embrace the Church of Darkness does such insanity make sense, for it is satan's will to destroy what God established once and for all. Tim doesn't mince words in documenting this fact in his short, but poignant piece Was John Paul II a "Saint"?
    The VerbumQUO
Today, Tuesday in Holy Week, editor Michael Cain has decided to emphasize what the Gospel Passion Reading of Mark covers and what is front and center the primary means of worship and grace-giving for every Catholic: the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, focusing today's VerbumQUO on the very word sacrificium "sacrifice" actually taken from the Ordinary of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and said by the priest, acting as the alter Christus, seven times during the Holy Mass, replicating the number of times our Lord spoke from the Cross. The emphasis on sacrifice and the spotless Victim, pure Victim, holy Victim, spotless Victim were installed by the great Pontiff - whose feast day is today - St. Leo the Great, though not celebrated because of Holy Week superseding normal feasts this most solemn of weeks. Cain explains in Without the sacrifice of the spotless Victim, there is no Mass! Period!
    Doctors of the Church
Today is the Feast of the holy Doctor of the Church and Roman Pontiff Saint Leo the Great. The feast is not celebrated this year because Tuesday in Holy Week takes precedence. Nevertheless, the day cannot pass without honoring this phenomenal saint who was vigilant and masterful in all he did from staving off the Arian heresy, to reinstating solid doctrine when the Robbers Council sought to undermine the Faith, to miraculously stopping the "Scourge of God" Attila the Hun in his tracks at the gates of Rome. He was the only Vicar of Christ to convene two major ecumenical councils. Considered the "Codifier of Orthodoxy", he is best remembered as the "Defender of Rome" Such was the fifth century spiritual giant St. Leo the Great Defender of Rome and Codifier of Orthodoxy
    Gabriel's Clarion
We begin Holy Week with a "Gems from the Past" by Gabriel Garnica on reflections for Holy Week beginning with an aftermath meditation of Palm Sunday. The Palms have been distributed in the sacramental nature intended, but we should not place too much significance on them as Gabriel Garnica pointed out a year ago for Monday in Holy Week. We repeat it here as he examines the properties and symbolism, proving the temporary status of the palm which more readily replicates the whole concept of the New Order - the conciliar church - and the emotional superficiality of the palm's purpose vs. the Traditional stability of the wood which has survived the test of time in all stages from fresh bark, to sturdy beams, to petrified wood to the trunk of the Cross on which hung the Savior of the world. Gabriel provides contemplation on which property has more meaning in our life in his column The Palm and The Wood
    The VerbumQUO
Editor Michael Cain has chosen for today's The VerbumQUO for Monday in Holy Week, chosen by editor Michael Cain, is "expúgna" which is the Latin demonstrative verb for "overthrow" or "expunge" taken from today's Introit for Monday in Holy Week - Judica, Domine in which the Psalmist David cries out to the Lord to "overthrow them that fight against me." What martyr has not prayed this plea while still praying for their persecutors' conversion? They know love and forgiveness will overthrow our fiercest enemy and expunge sin from their souls. Cain, with the help of the venerable Dom Prosper Gueranger's words from The Liturgical Year, illustrates how we can expunge our own sins and pray for those who do not love God, do not believe, do not trust and do not adore Him. We can be the expungers who will erase their unbelief through prayer, penance and our good example. Cain explains in Weapons of Love
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for Palm Sunday, he revisits the passage of Isaias in which the holy prophet foretells the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ, the promised Messias. Father shows that just as the children of Israel proclaimed their hosannas, they proved to be hollow, for when push came to shove, they denied His deity and joined in the chorus documented in Matthew 27: 22, "His blood be upon us, and upon our children." So also today, despite the fact our Lord bore theirs and our iniquities, He is lauded today as a man of the world Who really didn't even exist as His modern persecutors, egged on by His everlasting adversary satan, spew lie after lie about their theories and hypotheses that seek to undermine the very message He sends us in the sacred ceremonies we observe today and throughout Holy Week. These modern liars and blasphemers, like the perfidious Jewish leaders of our Lord's time, plot and scheme to eliminate Him from our memories by skewering the truth and posturing fables that ridicule the sacrosanct and reduce the God-Man, the Savior of the world, to nothing less than a desperate figure whose paramount fear is that man will discover He is a fraud. Oh, what blasphemy! And yet with the rash of material raising its ugly head in these very times from the "Gospel of Judas" to The DaVinci Code to The Jesus Papers to what not, atheism and the evil one meet to seek revenge that will never be theirs. Father explains in his sermon for Palm Sunday. "He shall bear their iniquities"
    The VerbumQUO
Editor Michael Cain has chosen for today's VerbumQUO for Palm Sunday the Latin noun "ramos" which is the Latin plural noun for "branches", taken from several of the passages for today's ceremonies for Palm Sunday; for it was the branches of palms and olive that are symbolic of this day and divide the Old and the New, with the former fulfilled in all that would unfold in this coming Holy Week, as the new branches would sprout more buds and fruit, and the old, and insincere, wither away. There is both joy and sorrow; the joy of the hosannas that will soon turn to utter sorrow, not only for the cruel treatment of our Lord that would culminate with the crucifixion of the Messias, but in today's attitude that Christ is irrelevant for modern-advanced-man as the heresies of old raise their ugly heads with even more vehemence than ever before. Even the beautiful words of today's Proper do not deter the hard-hearted and obdurate souls who seek to eliminate His triumph for they have forfeited to the horns of the unicorn as Cain explains in Hosannas hooked on the horns of dilemma
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica tackles the whole issue of immigration and the latest Pied-Piper of Perdition who comes cloaked in red and roars out from LA with political polemics that have lost the salt of salvation and care only for temporal rewards. For him, who has sold out to mammon, we can only pray; for the immigrants he should be speaking out for are the defenseless, innocent unborn who conciliar potentate Roger Mahony cannot be bothered with. Neither can he be concerned for the spiritual welfare of the faithful of Southern California who have been so betrayed by this comforter of sodomites, perverts, powerful Democrats, and Hollywood honchos. By his actions and words, it is no doubt he is a definite enemy of Tradition; ergo an adversary to Christ and His Church. Gabriel explains in his column The Ultimate Immigrants
    The VerbumQUO
The VerbumQUO for today is "hora" the Latin noun for "hour", taken from today's Gospel of St. John 12 for Saturday in Passion Week. The hour is near; this is so as Jesus announces: "The hour is come that the Son of Man should be glorified." Tomorrow Hosannas; hosannas which will turn to hisses as the week labors on. It is time to watch with Him for we know not the day nor the hour. Editor Michael Cain explains the significance, with help from the venerable Dom Prosper Gueranger, in seeing the blueprint laid out for the coming week in To spend each day at least one hour with Thee
    Traditional Thoughts
Editor Michael Cain impresses on readers the importance of the Feast of the Seven Sorrows in Friday of Passion Week as he takes the reader on a journey through Mary's life on earth, identifying each sword mystically piercing Her Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart. He poses the question: Why is Our Lady so sorrowful? Because She is a Mother and She continues to weep because so many do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Her Divine Son. Wouldn't you weep too? Cain illustrates how Our Lady was so perfectly in sync with the Divine Will that without this cooperation many souls might be even more lost considering the ravaging perpetuated by Her Divine Son's Adversary in these trying, troublesome times. We need to heed her strong motherly advice, meld our sorrows with Hers and do as she asks, take our cares, concerns, anxieties, worries and woes and lay them at the foot of the Cross to be washed in His Most Precious, Cleansing Blood. Cain explains in his meditative essay Seven Sorrows of the Immaculate Heart
    The VerbumQUO
The VerbumQUO for today is "Stabat Mater" meaning "The Mother stood" or or "The Mother was standing" and is the well-known 13th century Gregorian Chant Hymn, taken from today's Sequence Stabat Mater for the first of two feasts in the liturgical year for Our Lady of Sorrows; today being the greater double Feast of the Seven Dolors. It is the appropriate portal to the liturgy from here to Good Friday for Mary leads the way on the path that must wind up Calvary to reach the Door of Redemption. To His Blessed and Sorrowful Mother, Christ has given the key to open that Portal. Let Mary lead us and show us the combination that unlocks the door, possible only by the ultimate Sacrifice of the Cross. Cain shares the insight of the venerable Benedictine Abbot Dom Prosper Gueranger and the holy Doctor of the Church St. Benedict in illustrating today's VerbumQUO in A Mother's Love that Knows No Bounds
    Echoes of True Catholicism
On this Feast of the Seven Dolors, we present an eye-opening piece by Dr. Marian Therese Horvat filed two days ago on Tradition in Action which brings into vivid question the whole Fatima facade that has been perpetrated on the public by the conciliar church and must cause the Blessed Mother so much more sorrow. What Marian reveals that there could very well have been two Sister Lucys and questions should resound on what happened to the original Sister Lucy. It brings to mind her own words: "diabolical disorientation"; and one can sense the devil in the data Marian provides as well as pictures which should leave plenty, plenty of doubt if that was really the real Sister Lucia Santos who passed away last year. The fact that we have been desensitized to think the Sr. Lucia photographed for the public is really the same person, has only added to the scheme, but Marian's deductions, photographs, and questions should raise many more questions just as we wrote on these pages last year in Only Heaven Knows. So also only Heaven knows, but hopefully, because the lies from the modern Vatican do not add up, Marian's revelations and very logical conclusions should prompt some kind of investigation. Yet, considering the ones doing the investigating most probably will be the very foxes that invaded the henhouse, don't look for much honesty from modern Rome. After all, we haven't seen it in well over 40 years. Despite carrots that recently bear the facade of traditionalism, it's only orange coloring and the raw truth is that the rest of the carrot is rotten. The facts are that the progressivists have no intention of giving up their lair. But Marian's article should definitely rustle their fur as you'll see in her column at Tradition In Action: Two Sister Lucys of Fatima?
    Faithful to Tradition
John Gregory continues his comprehensive meditation on the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary today. Scourged, berated, whipped, crowned with thorns, mocked, and blasphemed, Christ, the Lamb of God, has accepted the heavy wood. The time continuum between the Praetorium where the Jews screeched 'Crucify Him!', and the moment He arrived at the summit of Calvary could well have taken thirty minutes to an hour and a half. In this time, we have in the Via Crucis, several lessons we can garner from this interval, including His reunion with His Sorrowful Mother, the aid of Simon of Cyrene, the gentle charity of Veronica, the weeping of the women of Jerusalem, and three cruel falls along the way; each more crushing and exhausting. Despite all this, the question arises: do we have the spiritual stamina to keep up with Him? John shares his thoughts and Scriptural passages in meditating on the Fourth Sorrowful Mystery during this Passiontide. The Carrying of the Cross
    The VerbumQUO
The VerbumQUO for today is "peccávimus" meaning "we have sinned" - an admission by each and every one of us of our fallen human nature, taken from today's Introit for Thursday in Passion Week from Daniel 3: 31 and carried through in the Gospel from St. Luke 7: 36-50 on the visible act of repentance by Mary Magdalene. It is a lesson for all as editor Michael Cain seeks to emphasize with the inspired words of the venerable Benedictine Abbot Dom Prosper Gueranger. In this series Cain seeks to identify one key word and sum up that word to help the faithful focus on the message Holy Mother Church conveys so the faithful can better understand the magnificent correlation of Sacred Scripture in the Daily Proper of the Mass. It is also our hope that in choosing the Latin word with its meaning and etymology, more will be attuned to hearing Latin read at the altar and better comprehend the beauty of the Mother tongue. As we gear up for the end of Passion Week, Cain explains today's VerbumQUO in The Sole Formula of Soul Success!
    Gabriel's Clarion
As a special "Gems from the Past" we bring you an article from two years ago in which Gabriel Garnica sounded the clarion on the silence that is growing more deafening by the day. He examines the paradoxes of society which, as he states, has outSodomed the Sodom of old. The facts verify that. He tries to stir the consciences of Catholics everywhere to get off their duffs, to be the Lions of Right and Truth in roaring forth with a passion for Christ and His infrangible teachings. He asks what ever happened to the fervor, valor and zeal of the saints of yesteryear? They have compromised with the icons of idiocy that pervade civilization today, molding them into mute muppets of mammon. Unfortunately, the echo of ennui and disinterest reverberates through souls - an eerie siren of the lukewarm of which the Lord has promised, in Apocalpyse 3: 16, that He would vomit from His mouth; for from the mouths of the lukewarm come the Sounds of Cowardice
    The VerbumQUO
The VerbumQUO for today is "vigilántes" meaning "watching" or "vigilance" taken from today's Gospel of St. Luke for the Mass of a Confessor, Os justi for today's feast of Saint Vincent Ferrer, the angel of the judgment who preached vigilance and left a holy fear in the faithful that they should, as St. Paul entreats, work out their salvation "in fear and trembling." In this series editor Michael Cain seeks to identify one key word and sum up that word to help the faithful focus on the message Holy Mother Church conveys so the faithful can better understand the magnificent correlation of Sacred Scripture in the Daily Proper of the Mass. It is also our hope that in choosing the Latin word with its meaning and etimology, more will be attuned to hearing Latin read at the altar and better comprehend the beauty of the Mother tongue. In today's Cain packs a wallop in trying to wake up the lukewarm from their sonambulance and be ever vigilant for we know not the time nor the hour. Cain lays out the facts in Don't Wait to Watch!
    Doctors of the Church
As a tribute to today's saint, the holy Bishop and Doctor of the Church Saint Isidore of Seville, we present a "Gems from the Past" of our series on the Doctors of the Church first presented here four years ago. St. Isidore is, by some, regarded as the "Patron Saint of the Internet." And though, needless to say, he knew nothing of the fiber-optic world or the world wide web, the truths he spread will continue long after high technology has become obsolete for his domain was Christ's and Isidore was so instrumental in planting the seeds of the uncompromising True Faith in his beloved Spain where he stifled heresy and converted the Arians, as well as staving off the curse of the crescent moon which had invaded Iberia. Thanks to the dedication and doctrines preached by this holy Doctor, he paved the way for the glorious fruits of conversion that transformed the entire world, especially in the Western Hemisphere. He was truly the Guardian and Gardner of the Faith
    The VerbumQUO
Editor Michael Cain has taken the Latin Verbum and Quotidianum, which mean respectively "Word" and "Daily", and coined the word "VerbumQUO" for the title of this series by contracting quotidianum to quo and running it together as Verbumquo; thus the "Daily Word", as in the sum of the message, the 'quotient', if you will. This is intended to identify one key word and sum up that word to help the faithful focus on the message Holy Mother Church conveys so the faithful can better understand the magnificent correlation of Sacred Scripture in the Daily Proper of the Mass. It is also our hope that in choosing the Latin word with its meaning and etimology more will be attuned to hearing Latin read at the altar and better comprehend the beauty of the Mother tongue. The VerbumQUO for today is "prædica" meaning "preach", taken from today's Epistle of Saint Paul to Timothy and the Gospel of St. Matthew for the Mass In medio Ecclesiae for a holy Doctor of the Church, which Saint Isidore was, a holy bishop who, unlike today's sorry pretenders, preached the word and preached against heresy, especially the infidel of Islam to protect his beloved Seville and help lay the foundations for Catholic Spain. What are we doing to lay the foundation for true Catholicism? We need to preach in season and out of season, reprove, entreat, rebuke with all patience and doctrine. Cain explains in Words without Conviction and Truth are Hollow!
    "Fiat Voluntas Dei"
We are delighted that Timothy Duff has worked his way out from behind a backlog of work and duties to once again begin providing articles for Daily Catholic readers. For his first one since July last year, he advises a short dose, a shot in the arm if you will, so the reader can absorb the simplicity and reality of the words of St. Paul in 2 Thessalonians. They are an omen to what we are faced with today with the conciliar church of Vatican II, a false religion which Paul warned of. Now Tim is warning those who, to this point, have claimed inculpable ignorance. No longer. They get their shot today. If they follow the advice of the Doctors of the Church beginning with Christ and His "Doctor of the Gentiles" St. Paul, they'll be fine. If they continue to listen to "the operation of error, to believe a lie" they will have hell to pay as Tim points out so succinctly and emphatically in his short column Consenting to Iniquity

When it comes to all these ungodly laws being passed by liberal judges because of the lobbying and intimidation of a small minority out to do away with the natural and supernatural order, it is wise to keep in mind the following:

"Unjust laws are, properly speaking, NO LAWS!"
His Eminence Saint Robert Cardinal Bellarmine, Doctor of the Church
